Who wants to buy the F-86 Sabre right now?
McBlemmen replied to Visceral Raptor's topic in DCS: F-86F Sabre
You have a point , but that's real life... not a sim. If i had a hornet in real life i wouldn't be sitting here ;) (as much) -

Won't buy it , not interested in any aircraft as old as the sabre. Doesn't matter if its 10 dollars or 50. -
Next DCS (US) Fixed Wing Aircraft Wish List
McBlemmen replied to diecastbg's topic in DCS Core Wish List
While i like the F14 alot , i would prefer an aircraft i can fly on my own... I wish ED would get in touch with and hire the guys from falcon BMS... they obviously know how to make an F16 sim but they're held back by the dreadfull BMS UI wich ruins all the fun in it for me... i'd buy an F16 day 1 no questions asked. I feel like both ED and whoever develops BMS would gain alot from it -
I cant beleive the sabre and fw 190 are so cheap...

+1 .... I strongly dislike how all these WW2 modules are starting to overtake the modern aircraft... DCS is the only modern day combat sim that's worth anything these days while there are plenty of WW2 sims already... I know there's like a hundred modules "announced" but untill i see anything released from said developers i dont beleive a word of it. So far the only dev's word i'm willing to take is BST. And i guess LN too. Kindof.

Its definately not easyer then the huey . In level flight in flies like a dream becouse of the auto pilot system , but when you start to maneuver.. especially during rocket and gun attacks she can start to fight back It's a very different experience from the huey. I dont know if you have rudder pedals or not , but i personally do not wich makes the MI-8 a little bit more enjoyable for me (becouse of the auto rudder.. dampening system or w/e its called)

FRONT SEAT BACK SEAT MULTIPLAYER YES

Yeah they need to be more visible... i personally find it one of the least realistic aspects of DCS , and it stops me from playing fighters at all. Way i see it , A real life pilot has great vision , and we may not have great vision AND are limited to screen resolution... Put those 2 together and it makes for a very unrealistic experience ... please fix. Its a simulator , and i feel like our pilot's vision should be simulated accordingly Edit : like others have said rise of flight does it EXTREMELY well... but i'm not sure how they do it... falcon BMS does it good aswell but sometimes i feel like in falcon BMS its a bit "too" much.. especially with large aircraft like tankers

What's the big difference? -
Thanks everyone. I copied the "common map" (DCS World/Sounds/Speech/Sound/Eng/Common) to the RUS side (DCS World/Sounds/Speech/Sound/RUS/Common) It kind of worked... but not really. From a quick test i can see that for the wingmen commands it works , but for ATC and AWACS it doesn't becouse the russians have different names for their airfields and flights, unfortunately :/

The All Things Combined Past Release Date Discussions
McBlemmen replied to statrekmike's topic in MiG-21Bis
Flagrum , what he meant was that , while the Mig 21 will release in 1.2.9 , that doesnt mean it will be "soon" becouse 1.2.9 may be here for quite a while. -
I'm looking for a way to change the Russian callouts from ATC , AWACS , and wingmen to English even when flying Russian aircraft. I want to play the Russian campaigns , but having to constantly read what's being said is very annoying... I dont know anything about it , but i would think it's not hard to do.. just copy the EN voice files to the russian folder. So i guess my question is , where are the files located? Thank you

Strike Campaign for Fighter Jets
McBlemmen replied to H-var's topic in User Created Missions General
I agree i love using the 33 for ground attack. I wont make one mysellf becouse i dont know the mission editor at all , all i can do is set stationary targets or with basic waypoints. Bring on the F18 with a dedicated campaign -
All i can say is keep trying , i used to need labels aswell , then i too changed my labels to be *'s, and eventually i turned them off altogether , it just takes getting used to. I do however feel that DCS should work on making targets more naturally visible , i dont know how realistic it is atm , but i recently started playing BMS in wich you can visually see planes and even ground units from miles away. Ofcoarse maybe BMS is very unrealistic in that regard , i do not know. But i dont think so. Military pilots need good eyes , and we are limited by screen resolution , the combination of the 2 makes it a very unrealistic experience overall.

Personally as much as i want a manual , i want an english cockpit more , that way i can atleast understand what i'm clicking.. but hey after the sabre i guess , i'f im correct in assuming the sabe will NOT be a beta release but a full release , they wont have much work on it after release (obviously theres gonna be some glitches and bugs here and there) so i guess this will come after sabre release.. hopefully before cobra release

I feel like FC3 is VERY comparable to WT's full real battle, wich is dead. You wont attract an audience from the war thunder crowd for DCS , people who play full real already know DCS , iguarantee it @OP : I completely agree , i'm getting a little annoyed with the amount of WW2 aircraft that are being announced recently , and now that ED has taken over the WW2 porject i fear the F18 is being pushed back even more. I'm not saying people cant develop WW2 modules , i'm just annoyed with the fact every dev is doing it. That or trainer aircraft (heck , even leatherneck has signs of developing a WW2 module in the future) I feel like saying this here is the equivalent of yelling out "i'm a pedophile" in a crowded street so i'm not even gonna bother checking this thread again. Just wanted to put in my opinion and hope not to get banned for doing so.
-
I do beleive they will update every FC3 plane to have a nice exterior model and a 6DOF cockpit (maybe AFM aswell? not sure) Just wait. They cant do everything at thesame time and last i heard they're currently working on the 27 afm

You mean.... orgasmig? :pilotfly: :helpsmilie:

I'm with Eno , i'm not an engineer but atleast he makes almost everything he says sounds really legit. Then again , so did some other people in history who i will not name to avoid offending anyone. I especially like his take on how stealth is pretty useless , since on a modern battlefield there will be multiple radars scanning you and stealth cant .. jam (for lack of a better word , i know stealth doesnt JAM radar) all of them
-
I love that sound effect at the very end.

Going trough the previous pages of comments i wouldn't call this a no whining zone at all. (no offense to anyone, i do support freedom of speech)
