Poll for Civil Modules you would buy for DCS World
McBlemmen replied to Anatoli-Kagari9's topic in DCS Wishlist
Don't compare AI with modules. Civilian AI are fine (we already have some) When i play DCS i want to fly combat aircraft. If i want civ planes i can go fire up xplane. -
Check if they're green in your DSMS page , green means good to go. However, recently i've noticed that if you fly somewhat straight for too long, ((THIS IS A GUESS) the bombs INS system loses track and needs some "jinking") Maneuvre a little and the DSMS page indications hould turn from white to green. I've only noticed this very recently , but surprisingly i've also recently seen posts about it here on the forums. So either this is a bug , or i somehow missed this feature for like 2 years.

In my opinion "optional" AFM is a big no-no. I'm completely fine with SFM beta, but when its out of beta and released EVERYONE has to fly the same , AFM , version. DCS stands for quality and i would like to keep it that way. On a side note , any info on the steam release , or is that all arranged by ED?

People really don't understand the difference between what you WANT it to be , and what you THINK it will be... http://forums.eagle.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=147 here is the wishlist page Why do i keep going on about this? I dont know. I understand that guessing about it is just as useless as stating what you want it to be , but we already have an entire subforum for wishlisting.

Questions: Edge, Flight Model and Manual language
McBlemmen replied to sebihepp's topic in DCS: C-101 AvioJet
If they decide to sell the AFM later on , i'm 100% sure it will be at a discount for owners of the SFM. -
Questions: Edge, Flight Model and Manual language
McBlemmen replied to sebihepp's topic in DCS: C-101 AvioJet
Yes it will be compatible with EDGE , none of the modules will need to be re-purchased and EDGE (DCS world 2) will be a FREE update for everyone. Regarding the flight model : That's still being discussed internally as far as i know. Yes there will be an English manual. -
This isnt a wishlist thread

I dont know man an F35 and F22 seem more likely ;D

My guess is F14 , a russian jet , and a WW2 aircraft. Personally i only care about the F14 in this case. (if this is actually the case that is)

how can fire Mavericks when using the Litening pod?
McBlemmen replied to fighter1976's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
China hat aft short. (beware , china hat aft LONG will slave your TGP to your steerpoint, wich is frustrating, as it will also move your SPI if you're in the process of slaving your mav to your TGP (SPI) -

how can fire Mavericks when using the Litening pod?
McBlemmen replied to fighter1976's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Sorry i'm not 100% sure since i've rebound various keyboard commands. I highly suggest binding as many HOTAS commands as possible to your joystick. (Since that's the whole idea behind it "Hand On Throttle And Stick") -

McBlemmen replied to fighter1976's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
In your controls , it's the command "HOTAS china hat forward" , LONG means you have to hold the key for about 2 seconds. The china hat in the real A10 is a 2-way switch used alongside the TMS and DMS switches , both of wich are 4 way switches that also have specific commands for wich you need to hold the buttons for a 2 second duration (referred to as "TMS up LONG") EDIT : On page 88 of the flight manual there is a GREAT and incredibly usefull chart that lists all HOTAS related commands, such as the china hat , DMS , TMS , etc. This is very usefull when you're learning the systems becouse the HOTAS keys (TMS , DMS , China hat , and NWS (nosewheel steering button) all change function depending on SOI (Sensor of Intrest). Possible SOI's include TAD (tactical awareness display), TGP (targeting POD) , HUD (heads up display), MAV (maverick missile) and AIM-9 air to air mode. This seems like a very complex system but once you know the various commands the A10 becomes very easy to fly.. once you kind of "figure out the logic" behind it. -

Yes , same issue! Just flew the shark for the first time in FOREVER yesterday to try and get back into it , once airborne i could NOT access radio menu anymore (i even tried rebinding it...) Not sure if its ONLY radio menu , becouse i coudltn change weapon pylons either (but that could have very well been my own fault i was trying to do a cold and dark manual start for the first time..) After crashing down and breaking my landing gear and tail , i could use it again.... i thought i was going nuts honestly. edit : yup maverick was right.. i'm an idiot.

McBlemmen replied to fighter1976's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Find target on TGP , set as spi (TMS forward LONG) Select MAV as SOI (coolie hat left or right long depending on what MFCD you're using, or just double click "MAV" twice on any MFCD), slew to spi (China hat forward LONG) (note this can also be done before selecting a target, hitting china hat forward long will just make the maverick slew to whatever your spi is , and will change when you change SPI automatically) Turn towards target Lock up mav using TMS up short (zoom in MAV with china hat forward short if needed) Fire Also , going into missile control to power your mavs seems needlessly complex , just select your mav page (it should be one of the default tabs on RMFCD) and hit EO on there. Another tip is that the H model of maverick has the exact same warhead as the D model , but has a much clearer camera (that can only be used in day/clear weather). When not using a TGP this could be a more helpfull maverick variant to use depending on weather and time. -
Ah yes ok sorry my bad :)

I have to disagree , tango has been extremely involved with the forum community , and voicing your concerns/opinions here will do good imo. But ofcoarse what you say about voting with your wallets is also true , as proven by this : edit : but i think providing feedback via forums is a good thing becouse voting with your wallets can be ineffective given how spread out DCS world is becoming (plane/era wise) , not everyone is interested in every module and so might not show their opinion on the matter regarding said module.

X52 Pinkie switch not recognized by DCS World
McBlemmen replied to Nealius's topic in Controller Profiles and Problems
Go into your saitek profiler , go to grid view (top left) and check that in your profile the pinky switch is NOT set as a modifier, this will make the pinky switch a normal button and allow you to use it as modifier in DCS. the reason it doesnt recognize you pressing it is becouse it is set as a modifier in your saitek profile -
Once you go TGP you never go... back :P
