  1. Stunning! Out
  2. Excellent work Thank you! Out
  3. I disagree. It is very cool using VAC for voice commands to control AI wingies and ground crew. It adds a realy nice extra layer of immersion to your simming. I even use VAC to type MP in game chat pre-configured statements like GK S!, GF S! and RAYGUN, BUDDYSPIKE etc. It is soooo HOTAS as you do not take your hands off to do it. You push one button hold it say RAYGUN, mp chat opens types RAYGUN ,sends it, and then closes the chat window. What could be easier or more immersive than that? VAC is an excellent program for this, although Shoot is free and Vac is not VAC is far better in terms of interface (it has one). Out
  4. I think the Cougar is great for Black Shark in the following flavors; Stock, Uber, and Uber II NXT. The FSSB is great for jets but not so much for the Shark. Agree with the post saying CH is a little light and feels a bit like a toy in comparison although it is highly reliable and well supported. As an aside the short comings of the Stock Cougar and the potential cost to reduce or eliminate them entirely is greatly exaggerated. You can literally spend 5-10USD and own a stock Cougar that will last years and years without issue. IMHO it's advantages over the CH in other areas make it both worth the small inconvenience/expense of this and the right choice for myself and many of my squad mates and friends. At under 200USD for the Cougar it is an excellent choice. The community support at Cougarworld for the kitty is a vast knowledge base of info on everything that is Cougar related and an excellent source. Although TM has been fairly criticized in the past for their lack of support I have seen a big improvement in this regard in recent years. Out
  5. Also you can ban a small ip range to nail people with dynamic ips and if lucky it will have no effect on any other legit players. Often the case. Out
  6. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IP_blocking You can try PC-Tools firewall plus for Ip banning. Free and works pretty good. Out
  7. ip ban them. Search on it. Many programs can be used for this. Out
  8. AFAIK static objects statistics will not appear in the debriefing (container). Not sure on the others. Out
  9. The 182.05 betas work great. New beta and full release drivers for Nvidia cards can always be found at: www.guru3d.com and www.laptopvideo2go.com The latter has specially modified (inf) drivers to work with most all laptops that have Nvidia adapters in them. This allows you to use very recent driver sets with your laptops and in many cases enjoy bug fixes and better performance as well. Good sources. Out
  10. Confirm you are not engaging the hover as you pass theough zero and expecting it to hold. You need to trim to a point where you can let go of the stick and be very close to a hover before engaging hover hold. Within 20% of hover I believe. If this is not the problem (as you sound pretty sure of yourself) maybe your stick calibration is off? Any other controllers plugged in? Very strange.... Hope you can get it sorted. Out
  11. RWR = Rant Warning Reciever.;)
  12. Yes I guess you should just give it up then. Sorry to see you go. Out
  13. Sorry to hear it. I think you are the first person to ask for a return for this reason. You will be missing out on the greatest simulation ever made for the PC. Personally I do not mind a few Russian voice overs at all. It adds to my immersion, because it is a Russian helicopter and the pilots speak Russian. Out
  14. You can also use a hat switch but be forewarned, if you ever purchase a TrackIR you will never use a hat switch for views again. Second only to a good HOTAS in my book. Not to mention with an entry level stick like yours it will free up the hat switch for other functions to use a TIR. Out
  15. Some are definitely using that stick. I think you will find this sim simply amazing. It is in a league of its own. No former chopper sim even comes close. Out
  16. Here is a sample of something I am using in LOMAC perhaps you can replace the statements with the button/functions that you need. BTN T4 KD(X5)DLY(200)KU(X5)REM toggle flaps OR landing flaps (delay) REM Deploy landing flaps by holding T4 for 0.3s DEF X6 NOT S3 AND T4 and X5 DEF X7 DELAY(500) T4 AND NOT S3 BTN X6 ToggleFlaps BTN X7 FlapsDown DEF X8 S3 AND T4 BTN X8 ScanRight
  17. Looks great! Thank you for posting. I wonder when US release will come? Out
  18. I couldn't agree more with this assessment. Personally I like the included missions and campaigns just fine. I find them atmospheric and immersive, intense and a great deal of fun. Also it is no small bonus to actually be able to create your own campaigns. The design for the campaign editor is so cool and well thought out it even allows for building very non linear feeling campaigns that will play out differently every time you fly them. This is a better and more realistic sim than anything I have ever flown in every respect. That is more then enough for me and I am extremely grateful for it. Can't wait for the next module! Out
  19. Congratulations guys! Happy Birthday to the 51st Dedi. Well done. Salute! Out
  20. Sure thing, One of my squadmates in the 104th that has a Cougar (there are a few). Two weeks ago he became convinced his HAT4 was broken. He emailed TM support and recieved his HAT4 promptly and for free. Further more after replacing it for him at his insistance, I tested his supposedly broken Hat and found nothing wrong with it. It is now sitting in my spare parts box in case we ever need one. He proly just needed to clear the firmware and re-setup to correct. What more would you like to know? Or are you still all about ancient history? If and when CH ever changes hands or is sold to some other company then we can judge how support from them rates while they are in transition. That is what you are basing your opinion on isn't it? That wouldn't be a fair comparison today now would it? You are bashing thier support even today and have not even dealt with them right? Sorry but most of what you claim is old, outdated, and has been addressed and at least now is just so overstated. I know you can not help yourself. Neither can I.;) All the best! Out
  21. Not sure where to begin with all that is wrong with your post. About the only factual thing I can find in there is that you do not like it. The rest is exageration. Thank you for making this your 4th post ever on these boards. Which is not too bad, it is after all 2 posts more then BlackHawk has made. I am glad this subject has motivated you both so. 1: While it may be too stiff and difficult for you to move the Cougar my wife has no problem with it and she is just a wisp of a thing. 2: The cost of the Cougar is 178USD, no where near 300. 3: It works fine out of the box. And in many peoples opinion easily competes with the competition and surpasses it on many levels. 4: It does not need 300 dollars in mods to compete with the CH on virtually every level. (IMHO surpasses). 5: The X-52 is not even in the same league as a Cougar or a CH. Again all overstatements stretching the reality to the breaking point. Out
  22. Good stuff! Excellent clarification. Out
  23. Simple facts. In general terms reliability, speed, and security are better over a wire. Networking 101. Out
  24. If there is a choice wired is certainly better. That being said a combo unit that provides both covers you fine as well. Out
