With previous experience in sims then go all out on the DCS-A-10C you have a great manual in your C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS A-10C\Doc Also heaps of great YouTube Tutorials to watch and train from here - https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=dcs-a10c+tutorials&sm=3 Also these links here:- https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=75982 https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=60293 There is also more info found on the DCS-10C in the Forum then any other air craft plus you have Nevada NTTR Map for target training range as well. Months and Years of fun for you

^^^^^ +1 Tactical combined air support surveillance and threat acquisition (Land & Sea) especially for the up and coming DCS- F-18C and air support for CAS A-10C which will make the ED-DCS sim more of a strategy / war game and combat sim that is sorely needed! :( Just takes a little imagination yeah, as to how good it could all be and make the sim great fun! :smilewink: Information Link:- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northrop_Grumman_E-2_Hawkeye Well maybe one day when all is good under the heavens but for now we can dream......:music_whistling:

Maybe in the distant future....................... +1  there is so much I am longing for and would love to enjoy as part of the DCS sim. An old post of mine check it out ............ https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2154802&postcount=6 Considering the past.............. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Combat_flight_simulators We can only .............
-
Gosh, to close......... LoL Imagine something fly's out of the back into the intakes
-
Well if you liked that one above then watch this guy.............. That looks easy to the eyes but its very intense and hours of practice in precision maneuvering. Much like an Air Show Most guys would have given up half way through the first lap knocking over cones or dropping the bike due to hard front braking. He is really good no doubt.
-
I'm jealous that would have been nice, the action the scene and the travelling. Thanks for sharing
-
Hand eye coordination is simply a practical application that requires constant practice. I use to refine my sharpness in counter steering and U-turns using road cones on weekends at large shopping malls before weekend trading was a thing like shown in this video. You do this frequently your skills in cornering at slow and fast speeds by lengthening the cones, improve immensely. Have you seen the movie video documentary "Twist of the Wrist I & II The Cornering by Keith Code its the bible for Riders Book and videos absolute must haves. If I find it I will link it in thread for you guys. Countersteering - The Physics of Countersteering On A Motorcycle By The Cambridge Science Centre And this vid is absolutely sick as............ I must say clearly that countersteering techniques wide or narrow counters have saved my life many times over. Its a must to have in your skill sets with the necessary knowledge that accompanies it if you love riding

Like I posted here................ https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3123519&postcount=32 When 2.5 comes out I will or rather wait for 3.0 then hopefully all is complete and no bugs and more content released (Modern War Themes + Aircraft + Large Maps/World Map + Theater Dynamic Campaigns + ATC + Civil/Commercial Aviation + Tools for Community Modding as well +++ SIMPLY MORE) another 10 years at this rate and nothing can be done about it. Just enjoy a good Forum Chit-Chat in the mean-time about other interests or hobbies and share stuff and wait patiently.............................
-
OK, thanks for the info, I saw that in another post, but thanks anyway. I was/hoping for info on "Community Mod Map Creation Projects" so people can start to learn how its done as they wait for the tools to do so. Maybe in years to come! Kinda sad though, it is what it is, we move on! I read much of thread and skipped a bit of the chatter stuff the MAP is small but will be intensive for a WWII scenario for those that love this period enjoy it and have fun. :joystick:
-
I was watching this video because its the first time I took time and interest in this WWII Normandy Map or to watch a demo YouTube. Can there be any discussion on the process of creating that map at all? So people can learn to create maps and have some info. I say this because people keep wanting to do so and post things like Vietnam online findings but there is no source of info how to start projects. I know there will be tools later on mentioned in another thread but maybe more like the instructions on how if at all possible to discuss now, just thought to ask and help others that are willing. (I'm reading through long thread now) If NO is answer not to worry waiting is no problem. Anyway WOW it does look good its good for those that want WWII stuff.
-
Unsure what you meant (Life savers) LoL - but watch - https://youtu.be/4zGnpttyOr8 :( unskilled - undisciplined - uneducated - careless! Just gives us a bad rep, and the reason why cars don't respect bikes, all those accidents are the riders fault ignoring basic license training skills  fact! "NO RISK MANAGEMENT" in controlled environments where traffic lights, road painted lines etc are enforced by laws!
-
+1 I agree! It was already mentioned long ago in this thread:- https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=109642&highlight=carrier+parking+positions I guess it will all be done when "THE MERGE" is completed and all under the heavens is good. Not any time soon the member Silver-Dragon has given good feedback on ships and carrier wish-list and I hope we get what he posted long ago. So we wait!

I encourage anyone to do so as I'm a qualified instructor in advanced riding, as the saying goes "Burn Rubber Not Your Soul"! :smilewink: Also they are a great way to enjoy a weekend and team up with other riders and chat about planning weekend trips and a great investment in your life if you enjoy riding! Yes you learn allot on Track Days but not the same as what you learn on general road conditions. Let me explain and this will serve to help others who visit the thread out of interest as a novice or veteran rider, its all about the awareness of "RISK MANAGEMENT"! Copy n Paste from other Forums I visit.............. There are some great videos by some real knowledgeable people in the defense force as well who give great advice from a different perspective like this guy ........... Now to mention when riding with clubs I used to always ride first with mature experienced pro-riders and not the irresponsible types. I did this in three ways:- Ride up front with lead rider who are usually well trained up on risk management. Ride in the middle with a small group of guys I know I trust and responsible. Ride at rear with club group martial in pair So when riding with clubs I would be in better partnering with top-notch riders (Qualified & Practicing) and enjoy the trip. Thats why I'm still here safe with no injuries in the many years of riding with clubs, with others. In many trips once we stopped at locations we would hear that some guy crashed or disappeared lagging behind and what not, and twice a death sadly. "Track Days" learning the race-line are completely different thats where you can burn hard rubber, but still understanding risk management in race conditions So keep on riding SAFE!

Nice enjoy it. Have you taken any courses in advanced riding?

60's Vietnam map (Real map resource/foundation)
WRAITH replied to Jarlerus's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Like I said if it ever happens its a long, long, long wait and I might not ever see this happen, sadly we do get old its not ED's fault if I die or economy goes really bad thats life. To show me a Thread with info does not change life and the reality of circumstances. So did you check out all the other links I provided using the search function this is all old discussion not my own thoughts and expressions but the community. Do you think I dont want this, I wanted this yesterday LoL The way it could be better understood is that a new younger sim generation might enjoy the labour of love and hard work most here are in their 50's-70's, and most of us started sims and gaming when we were in our teens some forget this fact. But there is a mentality around to push the young away that is wrong you need to open the door to young gaming crowds for this genre of gaming to grow again. Enough said! -

60's Vietnam map (Real map resource/foundation)
WRAITH replied to Jarlerus's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Well look, I can't find the exact figure but loitering times were high on the battlefeild, again we are talking about a flight simulation not a ground infantry battalion like another game, where walking on foot to cap would suit a small map, anyway here is a link I found. Link:- .https://books.google.com.au/books?id=I63vCwAAQBAJ&pg=PT113&lpg=PT113&dq=F4+loitering+times+in+vietnam+war&source=bl&ots=ZpgnxfMMJV&sig=rmJLTN02n08DqiNlYzE1v9y8-Ps&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjwqpH2uMfTAhUCJZQKHWCXBb8Q6AEIJDAA#v=onepage&q=F4%20loitering%20times%20in%20vietnam%20war&f=false -

60's Vietnam map (Real map resource/foundation)
WRAITH replied to Jarlerus's topic in DCS Core Wish List
There was a US front counter strike across the entire length on key strategic targets to obliterate the red force, but failed and it went on and on anyway besides the point read-up or watch the video doco it shows all, I'm not lying or something, again besides the point. Large maps make realistic flight great for squads not 5min mission that are boring and you finish in no time then looking for something new. If your looking at a Vietnam Theme do it right across the landscape create the necessary battlefield scenarios that were close to real life, such as CAS and air strikes on camp sites and ammunition depots all over the place and all the inland activity off carriers and ships. It was huge military action and would make for good gaming. C'mon be fair you know what I mean and I'm trying not to break any Forum Rules here by mentioning that other sim with large maps they have for realism. Pfft... ....... where am I going with this LoL its not going to happen  -
60's Vietnam map (Real map resource/foundation)
WRAITH replied to Jarlerus's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Well for future proof I was thinking a Vietnam Theater Dynamic Campaign day 1, day 2, day 3.... each time you play it saves your success until all is wiped away, its a dream come true :smilewink: and years of fun. Also thats how it was in real life the big massive attack across the whole stretch watch the history channel documentary shows how it was done. (BTW) Yes I know how in real life it was played out but think of the strategy and long flights refueling, darn we need Phantoms ........... Anyway, all the current and past discussion on this subject is found here:- https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=2562866#post2562866 https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=1064354#post1064354 https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=151627&page=28 https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=970990#post970990 https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=1659430#post1659430 https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=1632458#post1632458 https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=2146474#post2146474 Just by using the searching function here ........... https://forums.eagle.ru/search.php Its point less to keep bring it up it wont happen. -
60's Vietnam map (Real map resource/foundation)
WRAITH replied to Jarlerus's topic in DCS Core Wish List
+1 Nice find! It is sorely needed, and it would be nice, covering the entire Vietnam landscape, including offshore for military amphibious transport, the whole Vietnam War theme for adventurous fun. Yes the whole entire MAP area might as well thats how it should be done and where you can set up great missions attacking all the historical targets and capture points that were in real war. It would make for years of fun and great for squadrons as well. Like this............... But we................
