Kool video demo on DCS Mi-8MTV2 Oilfield Campaign by Laivynas For those that love DCS Mi-8MTV2 that would be fun but I prefer to do that on carrier's as logistic services dropping off cargo etc Similar to what you see in this video.............. There is another real life video on a US carrier with helos dropping off containers and other cargo really kool stuff to watch if anyone finds it post it. Military logistics is pretty intensive and kool handling all the equipment and watching ground crews as well. Like I said there is a very good real life Youtube video showing all this stuff, post it if you find it.

Well reality is like Woona said here.......................... While people are waiting on stuff no reason why other things can get done, and in my opinion MAPS forming a globe could fit that category. Using Tools and software apps............ So on........ It all comes down to waiting for "The Merge"! LoL Also this sim is as old as I am and its being retrofitted for future development........... But again this is just community chatter we don't dictate what ED does or does not do we will have to wait patiently........

I miss riding, I keep nagging wife that I want to again. Until I go out and get me a new ride. Been stuck to long now with darn games cooped in like a pigeon  Although started getting into 4WD + Camping but costs on large trips means only once a year in a group. I will ride again maybe not yet but within a few years for sure I always ride with clubs. I have been looking at the new BMW S1000RR its a sweet fast ride link:- http://www.bmwmotorcycles.com/us/en/index.html BMW S1000RR 2015 race day..... Awesome  Although I have owned several bikes and have enjoyed two Honda VFR's in my keep with some add-ons for best performance - http://motorcycles.honda.com.au/Sports_Touring/VFR800 So unsure with current changes to this line if I go down the same track the pre 2001 were the best, gear driven beasts they were! This one............

I have 3 x BenQ RL2755HM 27 inch Console Gaming Monitors All you need to consider is - ( Response Time(Tr+Tf) typ.1ms (GTG) ) less or equal to 1ms if you can find them nowadays. If its for gaming don't fuss about all the curve, Hz, watts, colours and what not thats where a good GFX card kicks in and does the job and you adjust settings through video card software. For TV is different all together its not supported by nothing else. Also BenQ RL2755HM 27 inch comes with 3 year Warranty! More Here Link:- http://www.benq.com.au/product/monitor/rl2755hm So look for best gaming monitors with features that increase quality with speed and 3 year Warranty. Can I mix these two memory modules?
WRAITH replied to Bearfoot's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I think you should search for the Intel CPU Engineer MSD PDF for your Processor before you cook your MOBO due to heat issues. Like this here:- http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/processors/core/core-technical-resources.html Be safe and learn about the chip and socket design before voltage increase they get hot especially if no water cooling or other source of cooling. Hot is not good so you will need to check temperatures and use good CPU paste before anything. Also CPU's exceeding OC can become unstable and cause irregularities like shut downs so forth so people should read all docs before OC to be sure and safe. Look on internet for cooked MOBO's and CPU's damaged due to incorrect use........ awareness as caution for preventative measure is always good when OC PC's. -
Can I mix these two memory modules?
WRAITH replied to Bearfoot's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Stability vs Performance you will need to decide here....... But to answer your question what Intel CPU are you running and always check here first - http://www.intel.com.au/content/www/au/en/homepage.html Find the correct CPU and model and find the info needed as an example - http://ark.intel.com/products/97128/Intel-Core-i7-7700-Processor-8M-Cache-up-to-4_20-GHz Always pay attention to Intel's specs and warning limitations on their webpage dedicated for system builders, some boards will inherit features others will reduce or nullify them due to board limitations. Also ensure your MOBO can support OC and has plenty of overhead room for increase in things like voltage - http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/LGA1150/VANGUARD_B85/E10276_HDMI_insert_for_web_only.pdf?_ga=1.26310397.1179871197.1492878386 Dont cook the mobo socket just to have more CPU Gigs, you could blow your MOBO go through everything from scratch and ensure that all is okay and permissible without damage to any parts. You should have the entire case stripped and working on a rubber mat with the minimum hardware and testing the upgrades and tuning/tweaking the voltages and settings on CMOS screen before entering Windows. Also you can use MEMTEST in DOS mode which is far better than any window app. If in doubt visit places like Tomshardware for support they do heaps of bench testing - http://www.tomshardware.com/  -
Community Modding MAP Projects Supporter Now that is something I have mentioned a few times in past, even if its similar to some other older combat sims and/or flight sims that do this as a community where texturing is not so good at least you can start with a build for a global map adding the correct Geo-locations of airbases, towns, small cities, bridges and Capital cities, trees and lakes etc. This could work in to ways either for community modding or it would assist the development of the sim by handing all work completed to ED once finished so they can add community work with their pro-maps joining and making a globe environment and release in updates. "Community Modding" - creating stuff is what builds gaming communities and sims are no different its important to allow and provide these necessary tools for projects that allow a game community to flourish. Then once ED are ready to work on MAPS in future they can re-texture and add more content. So then a world map would have been made already by the community and many hours / years saved in hard work. I know this can be done and reach some descent level of map creation by online discussions with people that create stuff for other sims/games as free community work. There are heaps of examples and tutorials online already using 3DSMAX like these ....... Or even using Blender software which is open source trouble free for those willing get it here:- https://www.blender.org/ Just need the right tools and plugins and a willing community. So I agree would be kool and a great community working and building great things together. Maybe in future it might be like this who knows!

Thanks  He has lots of good places to buy from now! Cut n Copy from webpage above...............

Now thats kool did not know they exist... LoL... they are all sold out  Whats the cost do you know? I just purchased an outdoor cushion for my chair @$50 bucks if I had known about this earlier. +1  on Coolermaster I own the old Coolermaster COSMOS the case is made of steel and a full tower easy to work in I love it. This one - - its been a dream case and no problems at all! My next case will probably be CoolerMaster COSMOSII as well - http://www.coolermaster.com/case/full-tower/cosmos-2/ Its a great case! I also like NZXT full tower case - https://www.nzxt.com/

Hello Bitmaster, M8 I have no clue what you are trying to say whats a Ferrari have to do with PC LoL..... I also know how to work on cars my father taught me many things even how to spray them using old method not used now. First, I have linked the guys at Origin they build it for you and offer 24/7 support and 3+year warranty. Aleinware is another good place to buy built PC's online retailer - http://www.dell.com/en-us/gaming/alienware-desktops?cs=19 Second, if you like gaming then you will be forced to get involved in your system to upgrade and tweak or send it back to home base for upgrade/maintenance/service. I mean even tweaking the various types of games and files what not takes a little digging in effort to get things smoothed out and running like adding add-ons and mods etc. Also you can find software and apps to modify systems and even hack into CPU code to modify strings in code all at risk of course but to build a system does not take a genius not anymore, with so much online support. Kids at the age of ten are well aware of how its all done I visit other games like FIFA, Battlefeild or COD etc and they are well educated on the matter. Thirdly, I am a system builder since the 80's I have built many systems for family/friends/others. Most people in gaming apply to learn how to do stuff, anyway its all on Youtube these days lots of guys online will help you ............... Tomshardware - Link:- http://www.tomshardware.com/ At Tomshardware are a good bunch of professional and experienced people that will help you build or trouble shoot your system or network and I have been for years now posting there sourcing support for failures. Plus you can buy some good books with step by step guides with pics on how to do it for approx $50 bucks LoL Also if you by all the parts and read all the documentation provided you are safe to go ahead and work in an area with a rubber mat underneath to avoid static. Again more online in how its all done. As for my future project explained earlier for me I have no fears or doubts in building my new rig and gaming center to my liking as explained above. Point of my post was to share possibilities i have no ego here just conversation and sharing what can be done nowadays for a great gaming room and system. If you can not build it yourself, thats okay there are lots of PC builders locally in the area you live or online but you have to pay for the services. Computers are just parts put to together even if you go water cooling just be sure to read all the documentation and visit manufacturer online resources for each part even for help and support. Again just choices no need for fears or doubt just if you can be bothered in either direction you take build or buy and pay for services.

Origin PC guys are awesome at what they do! I'm also looking to build myself a great gaming rig and room/nook setup, but holding back another few years for the next gen Intel CPU other than i7's something new and powerful for new game tech. But if your searching for something great now check these guys out they are good at what they do.......... They also deliver your system in a wooden case for protection.................. What I want is a sweet night look like this .............. More here:- https://www.google.com.au/search?q=ultimate+gaming+pc+room+setup&client=firefox-b&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiKj8_50MTTAhXJHJQKHaJ-Bf0Q_AUICigB&biw=1920&bih=957 For me its not so much a room but a wall nook space for all my gaming stuff! I want the Blue LED night light look stuff behind the desk and maybe put my system on the wall like you see here - "CLICK HERE" But I'm going to wait longer like I said something new revolutionary for now current systems 2 x PC boxes play all my sims and other games sweet! So I will be going for a sharp modern look no cables or wires very neat no mess and lots of hidden storage, a complete refit for sim'g and gaming. So by the time I do this ED-DCS World should be at 3.0 with F-18C release, so why burn money now, best wait in my opinion when all is merged and DCS sim is optimized for new PC systems.

What is a Global Online Community....... "Different People"! So now be honest where do you fit in? Some good reading links:- http://www.adrianswinscoe.com/handling-customer-service-complaints-is-good-handling-different-types-of-people-is-better/ https://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/fulfillment-any-age/201605/how-you-can-get-along-people-you-really-don-t https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emotional_intelligence http://www.notable-quotes.com/a/arrogance_quotes.html https://www.realsimple.com/health/mind-mood/how-get-along-with-people https://www.google.com.au/search?q=Egos&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-b-ab&gfe_rd=cr&ei=ZcMBWaOfNenc8wfiy7HABQ https://www.google.com.au/search?q=Egos&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-b-ab&gfe_rd=cr&ei=ZcMBWaOfNenc8wfiy7HABQ#q=human+personality+traits I'm also hoping for a younger crowd to grow say between 18 and 60 years of age a good mix adds to the fun and great community gaming relationships, yep time for change will come its the future for the sim gaming industry! I recall my gaming first started somewhere in my teens in the 1980's, some forget, thats how young we were when flight sims and gaming started all those years ago. Facts:- https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=109582 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Combat_flight_simulators *Note:- that this is a global social media online Forum where members cross between other similar Forums of this type, as well! :smilewink: That might......:helpsmilie:..........

+1, I agree and "VOTED YES" ..... You, many others and myself want a World Map like other sims. Will it ever happen I don't know, it was said a while back it will start with small maps released at first as they learn development and acquire finance, then it will be put into a World Map. Now don't ask me where is that post I tried looking for it, I cant find it, probably deleted due to many disputes over this subject. The point is this is what aviation is about flying in a world and like I said anyone keen on sims knows this is a must for DCS World future, but then we also need a full ATC and many other things that require programming and development knowledge plus bug fixing and the list goes on....... so not any time soon. But hey no harm in healthy discussion as sim enthusiasts, I support your post wholeheartedly. I was looking at this............... :shocking: Link:- https://www.google.com/earth/ Imagine yeah sweet dream sim'g :pilotfly::joystick:

Stock fan, Liquid Cooling or Air Heatsink?
WRAITH replied to Gault05's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I vote for top notch Dual Fan Heat-sinks! I use to think "Water Cooling" was the way to go now I don't anymore for many reasons. One being that there is a great push to reduce heat and power in hardware design. So just get a Full Tower Case with a top notch Dual Fan Heat-sink it will last for the life of the machine and you might even use it for the next build. All you need to do every once in a while is open the case up and vacuum inside to clear all the dust, takes less than 5 minutes to do the job and no need for maintenance, also vacuum the vents and inside case and other areas as per your Case manual. Thermaltake is reliable also Noctau is really good as well. Frio ─ The First Overclocking Cooler of Thermaltake  Link:- http://www.thermaltake.com.au/Cooler/Air_Cooler_/Frio/C_00001600/Frio/design.htm Noctua NH-D9L Link:- http://noctua.at/en/products/cpu-cooler-retail/nh-d9l Another thing is I have found visiting peoples homes is that they place their PC systems pretty much near the floor or ceiling heater vents.... "HOT"! Don't do that heat is what kills the PC's they need to breath in cool air and circulate that around and out the front or however you setup your fans, which should be in a circular in and out pattern. -
F-15E Flyable mod for DCS 2.0
WRAITH replied to Veteran66's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Try this trick highlight the download file with mouse then right click and select "Unblock". I find that does the trick 90% of the time with all my downloads as MS Windows Blocks downloads for security reasons. I have had corrupt or missing files due to MS Windows Blocking files as I click to install and get error messages then I go back do this step all works fine. -
 Reading some of your posts earlier in thread i hope you make a B1-B Lancer or B2 Spirit or a F-117 Night Hawk would be cool for western aircraft mods the way you make them is sweet.:joystick:

CHiPs | First Trailer for the TV Series Remake - Comedy I think its a fail and short lived the old series that was more serious as a drama series and more entertaining will always be the best. Unless they change there approach, but mocking the Police in silly comedy well it ain't all that entertaining to watch. Old was better in this case I think we shall see!

Well I was thinking last night it could also be that DCS is not optimized for hardware since its all in BETA 1.5 - 2.0 transition. I guess will have to wait longer once 2.5 is out to get a better handle on system performance....:dunno: But OP has a good build based on his specs given and keep cost lows. Also I clarify that "Gaming Systems" need SPEED primarily and a good balance of it between hardware. It all starts with the MOBO and then upgrade upwards with other hardware like RAM and CPU etc. A fast MOBO will provide the performance read and write access times needed for gaming through maxed out design architecture specific for gaming. For example - https://elitegamingcomputers.com/best-motherboards/. Any system will play a game but performance of it will differ depending on build specs and how you set-up the game maxed or limited game settings. Some guys I know have a $800 system playing modern games others have a $3000 + Its all open to opinions and $$$$ I guess, but in my opinion it does start with a good MOBO "Extreme Gaming Edition" then work around that on specs and possibilities for scaling upwards. So to end this I think we all best wait for all DCS World to be finalized in 2.5 or 3.0 whatever it will be and out of BETA and optimized then we can better benchmark our systems. Till then we wait......... :music_whistling:

In my opinion now......................... I would say its due to data transfer speeds lagging therefore holding more over RAM bottleneck issues. This is without looking at BENCHMARK tests just my guess. Also if you have more memory the system will accommodate for that and store more data while processing power is using transfer speeds to increase data push flow speed rates. As you say you have 32Gig and its maxing out in heavy usage you are better off having 64Gigs of RAM and your System Usage will level out due to hardware resources whilst gaming. Again its about understanding hardware and system architecture and purpose. I'm not a digital engineer but a system builder for over 20 years now. You might benefit from this app - https://www.razerzone.com/au-en/cortex/boost It will close any unnecessary Windows functions and other apps pulling RAM and resources whilst gaming and it will provide efficiencies in each game you have loaded on system. What I'm addressing to be clear is "System Balance" it does start with a good fast gaming MOBO and then build up, you can always buy more RAM and upgrade the CPU but not the MOBO, you do this with Benchmark tests using various software mentioned already in the above videos as your upgrading and tweaking your system. Also each game will play differently depending on how its written and how much system resource hungry it is on each hardware part, GPU, RAM, Hard drive etc. But a fast gaming MOBO is where its all at!
-
It would depend allot on system architecture on the above for performance Questions you need to ask are for example:- What Processor are you going to run and specs - i7-6700K 4.0GHz is a Quad core 8meg - that will cover allot of background functions whilst gaming with Turbo @4.20Gigs running at 1151 - http://ark.intel.com/products/88195/Intel-Core-i7-6700K-Processor-8M-Cache-up-to-4_20-GHz What MOBO are you going to run and specs - The GA-Z170X-Gaming 7 is not bad but its not the Extreme Series either pumping more through copper as per say but with apps and built in features for overclocking you can max out your hardware for best performance suggest small increases at first. Link:- http://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-Z170X-Gaming-7-EU-rev-10#ov Although I might suggest here the extreme series is far better if not to late, up to you. What GPU are you going to run and specs - Your going to run a EVGA GTX 980 Ti Hybrid - http://au.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=06G-P4-1996-KR# Its pretty fast for what it is, nice. Whats the purpose of the build just for gaming or game developing using software that drains on resources like RAM? If for Gaming then a balance is better between hardware. So look at the performance ratings for gaming for this build then calculate how much RAM for it. You could use PASSMARK software to test 16Gigs of Ram first for speed and bottle neck issues if any........... http://www.passmark.com/products/pt_advmem.htm Your motherboard supports extreme XMP modules more here:- http://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-Z170X-Gaming-7-EU-rev-10#support-doc From all that I have read its all good on 16Gigs of RAM - http://www.corsair.com/en-us/vengeance-lpx-16gb-2x8gb-ddr4-dram-3200mhz-c16-memory-kit-black-cmk16gx4m2b3200c16  Overall that's a nice system for sims and other games! :smilewink:

I have done some private study on this as a long time video gamer myself. I looked into the user (gamer) and developer aspects of video game development and theories that assist in both areas in how it all interacts and how a video game company can pull you in to emotionally attach you to the game and or contribute to the community. But what is more interesting is the millions that large gaming companies have spent in understanding the psychology and social chemistry of the gamer or user in how they develop the games. For example EAGAMES and UBISOFT have done this very well for years now without people even knowing using analytical metric data tools to measure who you are, how you play using profiles and accounts so forth. For example EA FIFA series is a multi-million dollar video game label under license and contract with FIFA (TM) that draws a global fan base where there is allot of feedback and study on this area. Links:- http://www.effectiveui.com/blog/2015/04/02/getting-into-the-game-how-ea-sports-put-user-research-into-practice/ https://www.gamecrate.com/what%E2%80%99s-right-video-game-your-personality-type/11237 http://www.gamasutra.com/view/feature/6474/personality_and_play_styles_a_.php?print=1 http://www.hcsoft.net/sergio/karts/Emotional%20Intelligence%20for%20video%20games%2019-11-2014.pdf http://www.gameanalytics.com/ Its a complex area with multiple types of people and theories used .............. There is so much more on this stuff online its an actual science that the video game companies use with "Subject Matter Experts" (S.M.E's) to make video games more profitable and enlarge a customer base. But its all a play on emotions on our human weaknesses that they exploit for profit based on your choices and experience and pigeon hole people so to speak. Just be who you are and enjoy it and know your limits, because they think they own you once your captured with their enticements hooked like gamblers so to speak thats not true, unless you allow it as a person. With current trends in F2P MMO so on types of games. As they say "Big Brother is Watching"................ thats the future anyway...... who cares anyway they are all video games just some fun away from reality as long as you know yourself, is what matters, people judge what they see regardless of who you really are in soul. Another saying never judge a book by its cover, right!

LoL at the end... I feel like the pilot felt his hips pop through that ejection process and smashed his knees into the pavement :megalol: Poor guy has to keep flying through the development process, leave him alone you nasty man :DLoL Well yes the mirrors look nice but I will put them to work later on Pak-Fa vs F-18 and visa-versa  Thanks
