What he said, plus a few things to be aware of Be sure to turn direct control off, power idle. Start inducing the pitch. Go full gate upon the correct recovery angle on the oscilations and you should be out of it rather quickly. With DC on, its much harder to recover (but easy to enter that stall). I suppose ED can shed light on this in more detail, but I think its not to the same standard as other FC3 models and FF models. I guess we're getting sidetracked, lets get back to radar! -

You could have dug that up from 51st stats ages ago. But new guys, don't do homework [emoji23][emoji23] I can fly some F15 (in DCS), no worries. Great amraam bus for our squadron internal aggressor trainings. [emoji4] Its FM is just not up to scratch. I suppose its up to the F15 fanboys to push ED to do something about it? Do you know someone who flies DCS and the real thing,@HiJack ? -

Use range cursor effectively, Narrow scan and MED PRF when within 30miles. Problems solved. Its a great radar in its current state already. It certainly is way better in lookdown and against notching targets then say a Flanker, like 2x better! The only thing flanker has going for it is EO sensor integration. -

Bingo! 23Gs with 3 tanks aint no joke But it really is the weakest plane FM wise in DCS. Its only AFM. I do hope a rework is around the corner to bring it at least to a PFM standard. Thosands of hours since LOMAC 1.02 till its current state in DCS. Its a gamy plane atm, it really is. -

If F15 radar is undermodelled in DCS, then I hope it will be brought to the correct representation. I also hope F15s FM is also finally sorted, as its the most gamy plane in DCS by a long margin. But speaking of radars whats the deal with the F16!? Clearly it is WAY overmodelled. When will this be corrected? Is that on the menu at least? @BIGNEWY -
It was an issue from day 1. Why wouldn't it be? When you fly REDFOR you notice that right away as margins for error in fight are close to 0, so every little exploit is easy to spot. It was the same for the pheonix. It took years for ED/HB to do something about it... Second part was just to stir you up a bit, relax, it really doesnt matter what memory setting you use. If its possible in DCS then I really don't see a problem. There are many bugs and "exploits" but they cant be policed, rather we should raise them to ED to be fixed for the sake of realism. In fact its up to Hornet pilots to point them out, not the "other" guys. As to ER missing, yes it can due to EO bug without any maneuvering or CM, but thats another story. So the question now is have they fixed the 32 sec exploit on Hornet? Im guessing not yet right?

After all the installation steps were followed, I get a black screen when launching DCS, then a few secs later it loads with a timeout error... @Jabbers_ Does this thing still work in 2.7? -

There is a fully modeled cockpit switch for probe and lights (albeit not clickable). Look behind your flight control stick. -

Funny but, you're comparing cracks and retired airframes with many flown hours, vs an insta failure due to game bug.... [emoji23] Or maybe you're trying to say, ED has modelled age related wear and tear and corrosion on the 33s? LOL Did you know that actual 33s have reinforced wings due to heavier loading? What we have in DCS is a prototype Su-27K... this is straight from a rl Russian pilot who flew flankers. Unfortunately line 33s are top secret stuff... But I would assume they have a much stronger airframe and can withstand more Gs. Anyway, Zeagle, clearly you don't fly the flankers enough to understand the issue. @ED when will this be fixed?

You mean like F18 pilots lofting 120s from 40nm then instantly turning away with 32sec mag ins. While the 120s guided perfectly.... I can even show you acmis of you doing just that. [emoji6] Its funny how its never an issue for BLUE on BLUE to fly gamy mechanics because end of the day is just about the missile. So when kills are easy, who's complaining right? This post further proves my point. Surely an ER, being a newer missile should have at least similar level of effectiveness as an AIM-7? Difference is between 0%pk and 20%. Ill take 15% for that ER in those conditions

Nobody is asking to make ERs an uber chaff rejection missile. Just that bugs need to be ironed out (EO bug) and perhaps some CM logic that would at least make its PK in line with better than a "Vietnam era" missile... 120 is pretty effective for what it is rn. The other missiles should follow that barometer. We just have too much of an extreme opposites going on. Also on a related note? When will F16 radar be corrected to realistic levels? Its a UFO AWACS at the moment!
