  1. So how come Aim54s are so overmodelled? 70s gen missiles with CCM resistance of a 120C... Plus Magic INS.
  2. Who needs Magic INS when you have a good RIO huh!? [emoji16][emoji16][emoji106] But actually good points. ED scoreboard needs reworking totally. It should show multi crewed AC in one entry or like a double line. So its simple to see and same for scores.
  3. So you are handicapping red on weapons but compensating with AWACS? Not sure I understand the logic.
  4. Which Aim 7s variant are you pitting vs R You do realize the 7 has a pretty massive disparity in kinematics vs R right? If its 80s pick an early 7 variant that matches, IMO
  5. Make it an early 90s event 120B vs ER/ET. Makes F16 viable with Bs 2 pheonix 47s for the cats.
  6. @Dundun. Who's we? You mean ED, surely? Let's look at the facts, ED made a well informed decision to fix the 120. You are here crying and blaming Flanker pilots for that? You serious? Sounds pretty bitter and stupid thing to do, doesn't it. Surely thats what it looks like. So you got two options: Let it go and enjoy what is still the best missile in DCS hands down. OR, You have some new data to contribute? Go post on Missile Discussion thread instead of picking fights. That's my 2c back to you.
  7. Great. So there you go. A 25nm shot should rarely be a kill shot in RL. Unless you are watching discovery channel. 120 from 25nm is still a very potent threat though especially if you don't expect it.
  8. Give us the R27EP! Tapatalk
  9. No need to be so bitter. ED has given the Amraam much love lately and still is. Not so much can be said about Redfor missiles. They were practically untouched for years with many bugs and still no CFD modelling. ER has significantly lower kinematic potential than it should, while current 120C punches well above its weight. Take it and enjoy!
  10. There are about a 100+ ways to dodge an ER (or sometimes it might just dodge you by itself). There is probably about 1-2 ways to get that 120 off you, nuff said :P. Fly and enjoy the challenge (or for some not much challenge = take SD10 and Pheonixes). Lets hope ED deals with desyncs and netcode stability in the meantime. All this missile talk here is just moot. S!
  11. Agreed. But Max you also have to take into account that ER has been easily dodged with a headon roll since FC2, ECM or not. Its the nature of DCS. Do the competent redfor pilot cries when that happens time and again, headon? No, because a shitstorm would decent down on these forums. So where does the problem lie? ED needs to work on netcode and MP desync foremost, IMO. Just fly and stop whining guys!
  12. 50% is bloody damn good! I'll take that anyday vs ERs that are probably in <10% range.
  13. Right so ED is well informed and made the appropriate bug fix. Thanks for finally understanding the reasons that 'barring a cobra' isn't exactly realistic notch gate/chaff rejection behavior. 120 is still the hardest missile to notch/chaff, but it is at least possible now, again. As it should be. If anything RL data and Murphy's law would probably suggest its still too perfect. I would bet in a proper conflict many more would miss than expected. Take ECM for example, how do you reckon a 120 would deal with something jamming it? Etc etc.
  14. When you fly 350km/h you see the same results in both patches. Might as well just stall there to prove a point. Also at no point does the 120 go for chaff.. its simply notched. Which basically further reiterates my point.
  15. Its very funny how people are whining without actually understanding or better yet, TEST for themselves. The fact that the chaff resistance value was changed back to a nominal value did NOTHING to the new 120s in terminal guidance. The missile still rejects chaff in memory mode and reacquires the target. Its practically chaff proof regardless of that value. But yes, we get it, 120s must have 100% PK or its Redfors fault... LOL
  17. Don't expect Christmas early. This issue has been raised for years without ED ever turning a finger!
  18. This ^^ was it included in the hotfix?
  19. Amraam missed! Witchery. This cant be happening! Let's start a riot. [emoji23] PS: Harrier OP, please nerf!
Tapatalk
  22. Agreed completely. 120 has basically become a deathray for any idiot that gets within NEZ irrespective of pilot skill... If RL missile performances over the years of numerous conflict (including 120 use over Serbia) is to go by, the 120B (I am not even talking Cs here) is basically a point and kill OP weapon at this moment. Chaff rejection is what, 96%? Seriously doubt that missile has such an amazing PK in a modern environment. If so, I think anyone fighting it should just not take off at all... LOL :megalol: ER on the other hand, bites on 1 (yes ONE deployed chaff) in most conditions. With no chaffbug fix in sight, as promised by devs ages ago...
  23. Is this Airstart?! Tapatalk
