  1. IguanaKing, yes. The KC-135 file sounds interesting. How big is it? Here's another little vid of F-16s, A-3s, A-7s, F-18s, etc refuelling: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EplW6yfuLf4 DPS.
  2. I still see posts requesting info on how to get fuel using the flying-boom method, so I put together a little lesson on how it's done - or how I think it's done. Preview: If you want the hi-fi version so you can read the HUD there's the WMV on the front page of my site here: http://www.dpsflight.com/ Hope it's of use to a few of you. DPS.
  3. Too much time required (weeks in some cases) to produce a video - although your results are technically excellent. I've noted on the FS9 video forum (especially) that content, narrative, humour, etc get surrendered in favour of swish editing, effects, titles, etc. Sometimes less is more. Thanks for posting that link, TS. That vid was a scream
  4. I wish. Too busy, not enough free time.....no good.
  5. Yes, she's great. I mean, who doesn't like Britney. She sings, dances .....and floats!!
  6. Forget the complexities of Sony Vegas. Just fire-up Windows Movie Maker and knock out a movie every day. Punk film making for ever!!
  7. Had to re-shoot a couple of the AVIs but it took less than 45 mins of editing in WMM to create this beauty.
  8. If you like sarcastic nuance and slap-dash editing this movie is for you. If you don’t like Britney Spears – look away now. DPS.
  9. I still think GA should have gone along with the subtle sarcastic nuance/Britney Spears theme. I did, and had scream capturing the images the other day. I'm free this morning, so I'll fire up my editor and have the movie done by lunchtime.
  10. The incidental music around the Queen track (your own work) was good. Nice add-on skins, too. A great 20 minutes of rip-roaring aviation action. DPS.
  11. It's from a famous 19th century Royal Navy sea shanty called What Shall We Do With The Drunken Sailor? The lyrics to that bit of the melody go: "What will we do with the drunken sailor, Early in the morning?" So do you get the joke?
  12. Yes, FS2004. The USS Ronald Reagan (CVN-76) is the Flight Deck 4 add-on. It looks a lot better than the previous version. The Super Hornet has HUD with AOA bracket, Flight Path Marker, etc and the carrier has a functioning IFOLS, but I haven't had time to try it out properly yet so I will have to report back to you. I've seen some great screenshots of the Su-25T returning to base VERY badly battle damaged (in one case with half the wing panels missing). Su-25T players should get into the habit of recording the tracks as they would make excellent action videos.
DPS.
  14. Expecting the usual high standard of effects and editing. But don't forget the storyline. In fact here's a challenge - the video should contain the following (i) subtle sarcastic nuances (ii) humour (iii) the character of Britney Spears should be integral to the plot, and (iv) no more than one hour of editing Are you up for the challenge?
  15. I've read about it in these forums so I thought I'd better have a go at it myself. Set the carrier to full steam ahead, use the weather settings in the ME to give a good gale over the bow. Then fly the approach with the HUD Flight Path Indicator well ahead of the ship - then gradually bring it back to the far end of the flight deck as you near the stern. I tried it with a Cessna 172 in FS9 - the result wasn't too pretty  Here's a video of the results. The A-10 is at 5:15. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3B_gkt4mTA4
  16. I downloaded a copy of Flight Deck 4 this week and decided to record a few tracks of carrier landings. There’s plenty of Lock On and IL2 as well. Here’s the result: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3B_gkt4mTA4 I’ve left out the gory bits so nobody is going to get too upset. Hope you enjoy it; I had great fun just recording the tracks. If you like/hate it get on to YouTube and post a comment. I’m about to log on and do the same to yours.
  17. I just tried it in the Mission Editor and it didn't work. I've managed to make an F-14 connect up with the S-3 Viking (see at 1:30 in this video ), but the Mirage just makes a hopeless turn to an (out of range) land base, engine flames out and crashes. Ooh la la!!

  19. Thanks for posting. Interesting vid.
  20. Indeed, we've had a few problems here in Jockland with railway crossing barriers not coming down as trains approached. So the video was not only entertaining, but also informative - my first movie with a Public Safety theme. Did anyone get the filmic references? The clues are in the music.
  21. Looks good. I want the Su-25 with the red nose for my 2007 Christmas video.
  22. Here’s a little vid I put together today as a little non-aviation experiment. It’s as jerky as usual but that’s my PC for you with scenery set to high, civilian traffic on and everything done in a big rush. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TD4a_q4S63E WARNING: THIS VIDEO DOES NOT CONTAIN ANY SCENES OF AIRCRAFT. If you are a locophobe do NOT watch this movie. If you are a train spotter have your notebook at the ready.
  23. Good one BRD. Looking at the Russian pages of the forum seems like a few of them like the band already.
  24. Top notch stuff. There were a few good pics in the press last week, Must have been bl%%dy noisy perched in front off the intakes. Adds new meaning to no-frills air travel.
  25. Good work 666th Birdy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TD4a_q4S63E
