  1. Avec un p'tit accent bien sûr ;) Merci, professeur Tournesol!
  2. My bad... I missed that bit of info.
  3. Hey guys, I wanted to check with you guys... have you noticed that the R_aero Diamond on the HUD has disappeared since last patch when using radar? Has it been removed voluntarily?
  4. Just a little heads up: I added IFF section in Radar & Sensors section, updated the radio tutorial, radar section, carrier operation procedures, catapult takeoff trim table, and AoA Indexer tables. Revision is dated 21/06/2018.
  5. WOW YESSSSS!
  6. There is a revision history available on the Mudspike page: http://www.mudspike.com/chucks-guides-dcs-f-a-18c-hornet/ Also, I can't take donations since the Eagle Dynamics End-User License Agreement forbids it. "All title, ownership rights and intellectual property rights in and to the Program and any and all copies thereof (including but not limited to any titles, computer code, themes, objects, characters, character names, stories, narrative, locations, artwork, animations, sounds, musical compositions, audiovisual effects, methods of operation, any related documentation, and add-ons incorporated into the Program now or in the future) are owned by TFC, affiliates of TFC or TFC's licensors. [...] Except as expressly set out in this Licence or in clauses 4.1 and 4.2 below, or as permitted by any local law, you undertake to use the Program for your own personal use, and you shall not: [...] (e) exploit this Program or any of its parts commercially"
  7. In my experience that's the best way to learn. You're on the right track.
  8. As David OC stated, there is a specific button to set Takeoff Trim. You just press it, and you're done. Don't forget to reset FCS (Flight Control System) Faults by pressing the FCS Reset Switch (also on same slide). For the afterburner problem, it's actually a feature of the aircraft. Check out David's link on page 79. It explains that there is an afterburner detent lockout during specific conditions. The way to make sure that you engage afterburners properly in those cases is to raise the "finger lifts"on the throttle. I think the switches are mapped to 0 and 9.
  9. It's anything but too trivial, Pianoman. Thank you for spotting these typos.
  10. Okay so it looks like a bug, then. Thanks for confirming.
  11. Hey guys, I'm not sure if this is a bug or not but I thought I'd take my chances and ask anyway. I was flying in multiplayer the other day and both my wingman and myself realized that we could not select nor edit CMDS countermeasure profiles in the EW page while we were on the carrier. Is there a WoW inhibit that prevents you from editing these profiles while on ground IRL or is it a bug? We can edit these programs fine while in-air. Master Arm was ON, Dispenser Switch was to ON (not bypass), and the RWR power switch was on.
  12. Hey mate, The Warthog HOTAS should work right out of the box with the A-10C. It did for me, at least. Feel free to ask any question you have here if you run into any hiccups.
  13. Hi, I recommend that you check this http://www.mudspike.com/chucks-guides-dcs-spitfire-lf-mk-ix/ Pages 51 and 52 explain what the supercharger is used for and how it works.
  14. That's my point exactly: the Early Access guide by ED and the behaviour in-sim do not match. That's why I want to know which one is the "true" intended behaviour (in-sim bug to be fixed as per manual or manual to be edited to match in-sim behaviour). I'm pretty sure it is fairly obvious already that my documentation shouldn't take precedence over anything (being a non-SME and all) but I think that should've been obvious enough already just by the fact that I was asking this question.
  15. We really need some input from ED to clarify the way they simulate it... at the moment it's not clear at all.
  16. Y'a pas de quoi, ça fait plaisir!
  17. Thank YOU for pointing out the RWR errors. That was valuable feedback and I appreciate your input.
  18. Sure, go ahead.
  19. Good catch. That's taken care of (make sure you clear your cache if using the Mudspike link)
  20. Thanks for the corrections, everyone. I did a first correction pass I've uploaded a new revision as of 11/06/2018. If you take the document from Mudspike, make sure you clear your history and cache to have the new version available. Typos corrected, updated RWR section, corrected Carrier Landing procedure, other stuff here and there.

  22. D'oh! I knew there had to be some mistakes that'd slip in. :book: Fixed. Thanks!
  23. As always, if you guys find mistakes, typos or corrections feel free to send them to me and I'll have it fixed when I can.
  24. I swear to god... I uploaded it to my google drive, went to grab a coffee and 2 minutes later someone leaked it. I'm gonna start thinking I'm being watched :D
  25. Chuck's guide to the F/A-18C Hornet https://chucksguides.com/aircraft/dcs/fa-18c/ Enjoy!
