Hey, I own a track IR 5 (and used to have a pro clip.....but there is nothing 'pro' about the build quality of them, hence why I am here!). So the pro-clip broke beyond repair and I lost the hat clip (3 reflective strips) ages ago. I do not want (Ok, cannot afford :P) a new pro-clip right now. What can I do? I don't have time to make an IR LED based thing at the moment so what do I need to emulate the Hat device? Is it just reflective tape? Just for reference, this is the hat clip http://www.naturalpoint.com/trackir/02-products/0-resources-products/TrackClip-black-isoRight.jpg

I would LOVE this. Moving house (and then country in a few weeks) so cannot afford this. Saving my monies to get a new rig when I go over seas (and ya know...to actually get over seas!) If I get it or not, very nice of you to gift this to someone!

Hey, Search forum for "multi monitor" and you will get your answer. I run two monitors at the moment with my A10C RMFD on the second. It is not just limited to this, you can setup all your components on the one monitor if you want. You just need to do some .lua file editing (not as hard as it might sound, but still easy to get stuck in it) This also works for SU25T and SU 27, KA50 etc. You can also check out the Input Output section of the forums as there are some mods that make the MFD's clickable/drag-able which is really cool.

http://power-grid.roccat.org/en/Store/Grids/Games/Simulation/351/ UFC panel now available. I will try test this Monday next week as will not get a chance till then. Anyone know if it is possible to change this to the CDU panel? (Even though they are very similar when entering UTM codes I still prefer the layout of the CDU).

On hold because of the issue with coding VTOL AFAIK (please correct me if I am wrong, was sure I read that before). Apparently the current engine just cannot take it well enough to simulate it at a high standard. (Please note I may be way off here but that is what I though I heard way back when!)

Hey, I think there are a few threads on this so the Devs are aware. Hopefully it gets fixed soon :)

Sorry to hear that mrmertz, hope you pull through! +1 for December blowout sale!!

I had never used pedals in a sim or real aircraft (only twist stick in sim). When I went on a try-fly of a helicopter about 2 years ago the instructor seemed well used to people thinking that pushing right pedal in meant turn left. He said it is possibly from people making go-karts when they were young. Where pushing your foot forward on one side made you turn to the other :)

Thanks all. Wealth of knowledge from you!

Hey, I cannot seem to get the English cockpit mod working for SU25T. I have downloaded the T version of the mod, followed the instructions for putting it into the correct folder and when I load in game it still shows the Russian cockpit letters. Do I need to manually activate it some other way? Would I be better off using JGSME?

You live and learn :) Thank you. Follow on question, what is the black lever near where the stick connects to the base? Next to the grey pinki switch in this pic: http://www.simhq.com/_technology3/images/technology_174a_003.jpg

Was that the one where you had a pistol after you ejected?

With regard to PATH position: I generally use this shortly after take off, I set the aircraft to a climb degree (nice and shallow, about 7 degrees) point the nose where I want to go and engage AP. This gives me time to mull over might nav/collision lights, set counter measure profiles, configure weapons via the management stores etc. Very handy. The bottom switch, ALT is best used when scanning for targets. Get your desired scan area off the wing with your TGP, bank a few degrees on that wing and engage the autopilot. This will put you into a circular holding pattern. Just remember not to get tunnel vision....the amount of times I have become engrossed in my TGP only to hear a launch warning because I have drifted to far into enemy territory and subsequently get blown out of the sky used to be ridiculous!

Hey, Probably a stupid question, but how does the pilot communicate via radio in real life? Is it PTT or voice activated system? I have seen on the HOTAS there is a weird paddle like think at the bottom below the pinki switch, is this the PTT button? Thanks! /n00b questions

Heya, Wanted to return (fast forward and take control) of a mission yesterday that I was playing the night previously. I went into REPLAY in the main title menu but could not find any saved tracks, at all, for any module, never mind what I was actually looking for. Where are they stored? I checked C:\USERS\<USERNAME>\etc etc but they were empty as well. Do I need to manually select save track at the end of a mission?

Funny one that happened me recently: Mission I had played before. Several fast moving T72's or 80's down a road. I was down to the last one and decided to watch a mav fly in on it. I lined up totally perpendicular (not the best angle to attack from but there were no other threats/targets so I didn't really mind) and slaved MAV onto the tank, RIFLE!. Set my auto pilot and then F6 to watch my beautiful MAV home in and destroy the target. Except that the target was moving so fast a 90 degrees to where I fired from my MAV went and flew into the only building over 6 feet tall in a 100 mile radius when it was several hundred meters from the target! I felt like such a dumb-ass :) Dumped most of my gun into the bugger out of anger!

I agree here that Track IR needs to be updated hardware wise. Especially the build quality. My TrackClip pro broke recently and I cannot justify the price of a new one to myself :(

Help with setting JTAC coords into waypoint
Arcto10 replied to Arcto10's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Wow, I feel kinda dumb now. I've called in 10 digit 9 line strikes in Arma2 (that's how we played it!) no problem....but couldn't figure out something like add an extra 0 at the end to round off! hahaha. Thanks man, reputation for you :) -
Hey guys, So something I only managed to achieve twice (a looong time ago) was copying JTAC coords into my A10C and setting them as a waypoint. I have decided it is time to learn again as it is one of the last things I cannot do! I keep getting an 'incorrect entry' error on my CDU page when entering UTM coordinates. One thing I have noticed is that any of he tutorial videos online showing how to do this usually are several digits longer than the ones my JTAC gives me (On any mission...) For example: Youtube video will have something like GH12341234. My JATC will give me GH123123 Could this be causing it somehow? Or do I just need to RTFM a few more times? Will try upload a track next week as I will not have time till then. What is the best resource for re-learning this? Cheers!

Hey, I noticed this yesterday as well on my second monitor. It goes away once game is closed and does not actually affect in game graphics at all. I am running my second monitor on full screen and only noticed the red tint when I Alt+Tabbed out to check something so I assumed it was something caused by alt tab....

Think I will grab a copy of FC3 before it goes away then! :)
