Yep! I will definitely love her, BIGNEWY! MJ

Me too. I am going to like this plane, a lot. She looks amazing. When compared to the BF-109 and FW-190, she will have her relative advantages and disadvantages, no big deal. If she isn't a UFO, I don't mind. I'll like her all the same. :pilotfly:  MJ

Both the Mig-15bis and F86F are extremely good DCS add-ons. I highly recommend getting both. As far as which one to get first, would you rather get a superlative point defense bomber interceptor or a superlative fighter? The Mig-15bis is optimized to down bombers, the F-86F is a great fighter. MJ

When I get to sim fly the Mustang, I like to do so with others. The Dogs of War crew are a bunch of really great guys. Your opponents will be great guys too, since the DOW tends to attract an easy going lot, just looking to have a great time. You ought to go over to the DOW site and introduce yourself to the crew. The next time I get a chance to spend a few hours sim flying the Mustang, I will surely join you and the rest of the guys. The Mustang isn't necessarily the best lone wolf plane, but in numbers she is a pretty terrific ride. It is also fun to chat over TS. Here is the DOW site: http://webfortress.com/dogsofwar/forum/  MJ

Shweeet! I can't wait to sim fly this ride. Thank you for for the great update! MJ

This is my experience, as you predict, Nick. I am a fan of the Mig-15bis and I do really enjoy the Mig-21bis. While I really like all of the modules I own, the Mig-15bis & Mig-21bis are my overall favorite rides. The Mig-15bis & Mig-21bis add-ons make me now want to collect all the Migs, turn DCS into DMS, Digital Mig Simulator. :) :pilotfly: MJ

I like all of the suggestions, above. I would love the AM6, P-38L, Yak-9P, Mig-3, Mig-17F, Mig-19, Mig-23, Mig-25, Mig-29, Su-22, Su-24, Su-25, Su-27S, also. MJ p.s. I don't know if we are just listing fixed wing planes, but, if we can include helicopters, I would totally love the Mi-24, too. p.p.s. Since we have WW2 aircraft in DCS, I think it would be great to have DCS WWI aircraft, such as the SE5A, SPAD VII, Fokker DVII, and Albatros DVa.

I was just about to post a comment about seeing that pattern. It would be great if someone could fix that. The skin is otherwise very beautiful looking, though. MJ

A Su-27SM would be awesome, but a team may not be able to accurately model systems for the Su-27SM. They could probably get a lot more info on the Su-27S. If a team makes the Su-27S, they ought to consider matching it with a 2nd Congo War map. That was was a really significant Global conflict, involving many parties and the Su-27S saw combat in that war. I'm not sure if the Su-27S saw combat outside of Africa. Maybe it did, not sure. MJ

Oh! This is amazing! I have been on the lookout for Syrian Arab Air Force skins for the Mig-21bis and the L39ZA. Thank you for making this skin, Uboats! MJ

Yes, that sounds like a very sensible faction to have. That would make positively identifying what you are shooting at all the more important and it would be really great to also simulate being a neutral party, like civilians, peace keepers, or other sorts of non-combatants. Great idea, Shagrat! MJ

That would be a really great feature. I was looking at the Next Russian fixed wing thread and I realized that we will probably get a DCS level Su-27S and some variant of the Mig-29, one of these days. For the Su-27S and Mig-29, a new Second Congo War map would be a really good idea, since those planes, and lot of the planes we have or will have, were featured in that massive war. In addition, there were mercenary pilots. Your proposed feature would be perfect on such a map. MJ

I try to capture how fun the Mig-21bis is, without getting into the amazingly detailed specific systems management and all. http://dai.ly/x42uhb2

The Aero L39 Albatros is a jet trainer and light ground attack aircraft, first introduced back in 1972. The version I am sim flying for most of this video is the L39ZA, a version of the Albatros that has recently been seen flying combat missions over Syria. At the beginning of the video, I show an L39C flying by. That was just some old video I had on my computer, from a previous weekend. I was using that L39C to practice dropping bombs at the Sunset Bomb Range, on the Nevada NTTR map. I decided that I didn't want to make a violent video, so I didn't show any bombing practice. I love flight sims. I love contour chasing with sim planes, in particular. So, that is what I did with the Aero L-39ZA, this weekend. I am just learning this sim plane, so I didn't try anything too fancy shmancy. http://dai.ly/x41rikj

Cool. If a team wants to make a Mig-23MLD, that would be sweet. I suggested the Mig-23BN, because of its use in the Syrian Civil War, but the Mig-23MLD would be a great add-on, also. Out of the choices above, I am not sure which one I want to pick. I like all of them. I guess it comes down to whether one wants a fighter, an Interceptor, Fighter Bomber, or close air support type plane, to be next. I could see the appeal of the Mig-23MLD, a Mig-25, and a Su-27s. A fighter or interceptor would be a lot of fun. Then again, a Fighter Bomber or Close air Support plane would be very interesting and enjoyable, too. The Su-22, Su-24, and Su-25, would be a whole lot of fun to sim fly. MJ

This is a very exciting project! The I-16 is an extremely cool plane. She will be a whole lot of fun to sim fly. I will certainly buy this add-on. Thank you for helping to bringing the I-16 into DCS! :) MJ

Just a few years ago, I remember reading on another forum that a dev team suggested the information on the Mig-23MLD was still classified or otherwise unavailable. That team was then considering making a Mig-23MF. So, I don't know if it is even possible to make a DCS Mig-23MLD, today. I wonder if information is available for the Mig-23BN? It is used in the Syrian Civil War. Since we have the L39ZA & the Mig-21Bis, both operated by the Syrian Arab Air Force, it might be a good idea to make a Mig-23BN and a Syrian Civil War map, too. MJ

In this video, the Bunny Fighter assists Mi-24V gunships attacking pixel rebel positions. :pilotfly: http://dai.ly/x3zu7pr

You need to turn on the, 'Ailerons Hydro Booster,' switch. It is on the left hand panel, right in front of the, 'SPRD Rocket Booster Jettison,' button, with the red cover & to the left of the '2nd Stage Emergency Afterburner,' switch. MJ

This looks like an outstanding mission, Doom. I hope I get a chance to sim fly with you and the rest of the DOW crew, soon. I hope you are doing amazing. MJ

I'll send the link for the template over to where you requested, but in case you see it here first, here it is: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=142574 Thanks again! MJ

Thank You, so VERY much! That is super awesome. Here is an example of a Syrian Mig-21bis Here is a video of one At around 56-58 seconds you get a good look at the profile of the plane. If you find a Syrian Mig-21 you would rather make, any Syrian Mig-21 would be super awesome. Thank you again, for looking into this! :) MJ

The Mig-21bis is currently in use in the ongoing Syrian Civil War. I hope that one of our talented skin makers will add some Syrian Air Force Mig-21bis skins. I think we had one Syrian skin, but it is all corrupted now, due to changes in files or what not. MJ

[REQ] Soviet Aerobatic Team 1960's / Conversion of existing livery?
mjmorrow replied to Schmidtfire's topic in MiG-21Bis
I think the skin needs to be updated to work with the latest build. There are a bunch of beautiful skins that need attention. I wish I knew how to fix the skins, but I am not sure.
