  1. Just go by unit but even still "group" can still apply to a single unit- as per the group name. Pilot- unit. You can set up different zones around the waypoint. Run once unit in zone (choose unit) and then I believe play sound or something to that effect is in actions.

  3. I recall setting small explosions with a trigger- took some testing to force an ejection and didn't completely destroy the aircraft though.
  4. It's not unusual for it to take more than an hour to respond. Be patient.

  7. I don't want to be entirely negative about the contest- though I'm certainly less than enthusiastic about its parameters. It gives me some cause to try out a concept I've been trying to hash out and if I can get my head pulled out of my ass long enough tap into some of the capability of MOOSE to make some of the added versatility a bit easier to manage. FC has put out some new videos that are nice and quick and outline various features really well so I'm getting there inch by inch.

Well then I'll place myself firmly in the category of "poor mission designer" since I have a hard time finding much to keep a player occupied that doesn't involve some creative application of AI and even more particularly in NTTR. I understand the fact that additional content comes into play, and you can dress up a mission brief all you want but when the substance is crushed because AI takes a dump whenever it chooses to... and siphons all that immersion you've struggled so hard to achieve out of the mission... Sorry, I maintain that AI is an integral part of SP mission development.
  9. Post I quoted was 86... and the date that was posted was 2016 -11-06. And it says very specifically "The Lua console still works. The moving units around part broke when the mission file format changed." Maybe I've misunderstood what the .lua console is- but the "moving units around part" sounds like the functionality I was looking for. Am I reading it wrong? What am I missing?
  10. Stumbled into the actual witchcraft thread in my travels (should have started there) to problem solve the 2.0 thing... Apparently the part I was hoping to use (moving items around) was broken when a file format changed last year.   11. SOOOOO much this. Definitely have to try and minimize dependence on AI- yet SP missions are entirely dependent on it.

I think this should help: clickable cockpit functions (switches, buttons, knobs, etc.) are described in Scripts\Aircrafts\Aircraft Name\Cockpit\clickabledata.lua Found in this thread from Sabre TLA https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=125032 He includes clickable and non-clickable measures.
  13. Thanks pikey. Got to the point where you are supposed to open the map and it only brings up the Caucasus map... possible that I mixed up the setup- curious about what you find.
  14. I asked about Witchcraft for 2.0 since it would be very useful in creating content in Nevada- no feedback so I'm assuming it's out of service for good? Anyone using any other solution other than move an object, fly / save, observe, quit move and repeat?

  17. I'm using the clone in zone function and seeing vehicles and structures spawning inside map object buildings... Is there any way around that or is it just the way it is?

  20. I'm curious about whether "playability" means long term or just that initial game? Randomization is either a big factor or none at all.
  21. Sp... yeah that's lame in my opinion. I'm going to make an mp mission and just leave out the extra slots that way it isn't a total waste of time.

  23. Eh guys. Re: Mission Builder Contest Thread. Not sure if guys want to talk about missions or ideas or not- thought a discussion thread may be useful to talk out some ideas and maybe find ways to accomplish game play orientated tasks. I suspect MIST / MOOSE are going to be getting a workout over the next few weeks! FC you offered to help with MOOSE and I know I'm DEFINITELY going to take you up on that. Hope you got some time on your hands!
