  1. Couldn't you just have it orbit at 0knts then "stop condition" using a flag to identify that the intent of the hover has been met? EDIT: Okay well I answered my own question and tested at least the orbit part. Set the unit to orbit at 0. It takes it 30-40 seconds to settle in at around 0 but it looks like it'll hold there until it reaches the stop condition. Set a small zone around the orbit location and set a flag for when the unit enters that zone. Then set a trigger to "time since flag" and set a second flag to when a certain time passes. Then set your stop condition in your orbit to "user flag" and that it's checked off. Of course you can use whatever other trigger to set a flag... then just refer to that flag when you want to "stop condition" the orbit. That's probably not a glamorous way to do it but it should work.
  2. You could just set a zone around each target tank and then set off an explosion at mission start using the "Explosion" trigger action... It would take some experimenting to figure out exactly what size of explosion would cripple the tank to a desired way but that's the first step I would try. I thought there may be a way to use the in game system to detect your rockets (there are options for detecting missiles and bombs in zones) and set off the explosion to make the effect really inspiring- but you'd need to figure out if your mission can be tailored in such a way that specific ordinance can be expected in the zone. You may be able to do that through MIST easily... I'm not that great with some of the deeper functionality in addEventHandler etc. Anyway, if it were me and I needed an easy solution I'd start by trying an explosion in all of the zones with tanks in them... and adjust the explosion so they were damaged but not destroyed.
  3. I took it apart and it looks okay- my suspicion is it’s compromised somewhere in the middle of the cable. Did they provide you with good support?
  4. I guess this is the better place for this thread- whoops. I tried the process recommended but it didn’t result in any changes. I did get a reply to my support ticket and they recommended the same process but also to have the firmware updater running- which wasn’t in the directions I saw. So I tried that on multiple computers and ports but to no avail. They’ve asked for some photos, the receipt from purchase, serial number etc so I’ve forwarded them that and await a reply.
  5. Tried different usb on same and different computers- another guy mentioned a situation where the firmware can be corrupted and a method to force an update so I’m going to try that.
  6. Anyone have any experience with what kind of support to expect? Thanks. :joystick:
  7. I'm sorry but what?
  8. Seems there was a script for some asw work when the jury came out... in fact it was pretty elaborate... I’m going to take a look for it but it would definitely save you from reinventing slices bread. Edit: here it is https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=116429

  10. Haven't looked to see if this has already been requested but one of the other sims I'm involved in has a weekly screenshot competition with some relatively tight guidelines that are voted on by members of the community... I find many of the different themes less than inspiring yet I do see some very impressive creativity on the part of the community. Certainly there were also some challenges with people and multiple accounts voting for themselves- so it would require some oversight and the ED / 3rd party devs would need to have the final say on photos regarding their own modules... but I think it would be a great opportunity to provide exposure to the creativity in the community as well as a fresh look at different aspects of DCS World. A couple things (I feel) that helped: 1) I don't think weekly is necessary but maybe a monthly event to help minimize oversight and also test the concept? 2) A defined theme, providing participants with the broadest possible opportunity to capture the theme with a wide variety of modules. 3) Specific resolution limitations so that people with lower end, single monitor systems are able to participate. 4) Participants need to disclose what map / module they were using when the photo was taken. If not a game / title screen shot then it could be a forum banner... Just thinking...
  11. youtube. Seriously- there are dozens of videos of crew interviews etc...
  12. Not according to the tips and tricks from the OP?
  13. Looks like the A320 ones aren’t working because it’s not capped on the livery entry. (Local a320skins=) Not sure about the Cessna ones yet. Still looking. I’m assuming all those cessna liveries are as they’re folders are spelled? Edit: never mind I see you use the same ones as in the example- assuming you’re using the civilian air traffic mod? I’m a noob but I try to help and learn at the same time.
  14. I think it varies for ships of different sizes- might need to test.
  15. I’d take a very hard look at MOOSEs Random Air Traffic mod. It’s very easy to configure and though I’m not sure about just moving around on the ground- you could have aircraft taxi to takeoff and then fly to a zone just out of view and despawn them- Check it out anyway.
  16. How close together are you putting your ships?
  17. Victory mentioned the white radom behind the meatball has a tendency to drowned out the meatball- which is why it wasn’t white in real life... he actually made a comment that we should petition ED to paint it dark grey for just that reason and I’m actually a bit surprised that it was never adjusted- I can’t even find a mod that did it (though I haven’t looked that hard maybe someone has one) Anyway i don’t know much about the lighting issues as mentioned above but Victory made a point that I think would help resolve “some” of the difficulty spotting the meatball more clearly.
  18. I’m enjoying blaming all my missed approaches and aborted refueling’s on this so please take your time.
  19. ... Logs2.rar
  20. I had this happen to me for the first time last night in a multiplayer session. I had done my startup as usual but had chosen “fine” alignment- which I usually don’t do. The HSD worked otherwise- but when I clicked it over to the TID repeater it was totally black screen.

  22. Easiest way I know of is to just select the player you want to view in F10 and then hit F2. That’s probably the easiest way.
  23. I saw the op working through it on the moose discord. I think he’s got it handled.
