  1. Are you using the keyboard? It sounds like it. If so, you can't just hold down a key and expect the aircraft to respond, since you're demanding full control surface deflection in a very short time. You have to tap they keys briefly instead. Look at the stick in your cockpit to see what you're doing. ad If you're using a joystick, you can set curves in control options -> axis assign ->axis tune.
  2. I've noticed that too.
  3. Ah, sorry, read the preamble in the OP instead of the second post. Tried that now, I am unable to hold altitude, doing 400 km/h with 12 or 13 deg AoA.
  4. Try ticking Uncontrolled in the ME, perhaps?
  5. Then maybe it's time to read the manual. Switch CU22.
  6. I found that I certainly could, with the small centreline tank, an R3R under each wing, 50% internal fuel, and full military power. When I stopped the test I was doing 550 km/h and increasing at 6 deg AoA in Recovery mode autopilot. I was using the default atmospheric settings in the mission editor. Could you share your exact settings so I can try to recreate? EDIT: Actually, looking at your post again ("weight around 20500 lbs"), you must be using full internal fuel? Using that weight I agree with your findings, but I dunno if that's what the table assumes.
  7. EDIT: never mind, using different weights. I agree that there clearly is a problem with the thrust/drag at high alts.
  8. See post below.
  9. Have you even fired the cannon? No bullets, it fires these things:
  10. Shouldn't you be over in the Swiss part of the forum?
  11. I nominate MUSTANG! Well that makes sense.
  12. That's really cool of you, what a great way of supporting the community.
  13. A recent patch changed the file structure, it changed DCS World/Mods/aircrafts to /aircraft. I might be wrong, but I suspect the campaign stuff is stored in aircrafts (which will be left as a vestige in your installation folder), and I think you should be able to dig those files out and just put them in their respective places in the new folder.
  14. So it gets stuck while extracting? Are you sure your system complies with the requirements? Is maybe your antivirus interfering with the installation? It could also be that your system is having trouble moving big files I guess.
  15. Impossible to say what went wrong without knowing exactly what was going on, and it's hard to know how to improve your framerate when we don't know your settings. One example: you were displaying a Maverick and the TGP on the MFCDs, and you have the maximum cockpit display resolution setting. That'd make even a very fast system struggle. Or maybe you were in a mission with 300 AI units who were all tracking eachother with radar. If you provide some more info I'm sure we can get your game to run faster, but one thing you have to realize about DCS is that a few things aren't completely optimized, and a few things the sim does are just really damn difficult to calculate.
  16. See title. It happened both with the relevant pylons empty, and with one missile on one of the pylons. I guess no sound at all should be played in the first scenario, and just one CLUNK in the second (rather than the clunkclunkclunkclunkclunkclunkclunkclunkclunkclunk which actually played).
  17. Sounds like a Browning M2. Just listen to it in F2 view to recreate.
  18. This is to do with texture size, apparently. Personally I think it's worth it.
  19. I've landed with half a wing, if that's what you mean.
  20. Just ask for either fuel or weapons, as soon as the groud crew start working on the aircraft the chute will be reloaded.

    This is so cool!
  22. I have no improvement (if anything a few % loss) with my 580, from the previous release.
  23. Are you referring to the 900 series? Of course there is. They are released and in stock in several large online chains here in Sweden, I could buy one today. Regarding the VRAM issue: yep, I know what you mean, but I also know that I have 1.5 GB VRAM right now, and that it's limiting me. Inside the cockpit of the MiG-21, for example, all of it is allocated. I feel a bit unsure about moving up to only 2 GB when I buy a new card. Luckily the 970s have 4, so I don't really need to make the 3 or 4 choice.
  24. After reading benchmarks and looking at pricing, a 970 with 4 GB vram is the clear option for me; even the reference model outperforms both the 770 and 80.
