  1. Great work, David, +1!

    Ace skin!
  3. That's a superb skin, Krupi! The only thing I noticed is that W.Nr. on spec map does not correspodent.
  4. Yeah that's some superb skill David!
  5. I totally agree, very good discussion, I really enjoy reading this thread.
  6. The story reminds me of certain French Normandie-Niemen Yak pilot, who was known to pull out stuff exactly like this. His name was Marcel Albert ;) Source: http://www.aviationartstore.com/pilot_Marcel_Albert_pay.htm
  7. Excellent, thank you!
  8. I respectfully disagree with the above statement. Il-2's .50 really suffer from the lack of complexity of damage model.
  9. Well I really hope this will never happen in DCS! Not at the moment, unfortunately. Hopefully in a future update. And why are we asking for over-modelling these guns exactly? :D Because it's easier than learning to shoot correctly?
  10. +1 on this, spot on! I also struggled with aerial gunnery in DCS at first, as it's very different to the sims I used to play previously, but after a bit of practice and getting used to it I am certain that there is nothing wrong at all with .50 cal, if he doesn't go down from good position, I can only blame my hands and eyes. ;)
  11. Good pilot will do good in both, the actual planes are fairly balanced imho. It's more about SA and initial position more than about anything else - as it should be. Big factor in casual onlline DFs is also fuel load of the P-51. All in all, MP is great fun for both sides. :)
  12. Very nice, that's the way to do it.
  13. Well, I'd say it's matter of doctrine. Even earlier LW designs that were used for bomber escort (e.g. Bf 109E in Battle of Britain) did not have rudder trim. And even early American models did have all three axes trimable (e.g. P-39, which was also designed as short range interceptor and even had very similar range to Fw 190D-9). Same like with landing lights or mixture control or throttle in case of French and Italian air forces. Not saying which is better, I believe it is all down to what you're used to ...
  14. Now that's quite hilarious... :D:D As for trims or no trims, I'd say if you compare having them with not having them, then having them is better than not having them. Generally speaking... One thing I really appreciate is seeing how different air forces approach to certain things completely differently (engine management, instruments, everything). One of the luxuries - and challenges in the same time - of us, virtual pilots, is being able to switch between machines at will. :joystick:
  15. There is a reset trim button for the P-51. ;) I find the trims are working superb in DCS, especially with a force feedback stick. I am trimming my Mustang constantly as i change flight regimes etc. Lack of trims in the Dora is no issue at all though, imho. You just get used to it...

  17. Definitely +1 on this issue.
  18. Maler lovely skin! In my opinion you got the RLM colours absolutely spot on in the DCS engine. Any more skins to come with the next update? ;) Also, please add the _s versions, too, it's very much appreciated...
  19. Any chance to log this as a bug, if it is one?
  20. D-9s with EZ42 were available before February 1945? Also, momentary amount of pilots on DoW does not reflect anything but momentary amount of pilots on DoW ;) I see both sides flying and numbers increasing so that's cool. I personally find both aircraft nicely matched at the moment, with the pilot being the decisive factor. And I do hope that whoever is in charge will not make any decisions based on complaints on this forums. :smilewink:
  21. Now that would be awesome!
  22. For the sake of consistency with the D-9 module, it would be great to have oxygen valve off on default. (minor thing I know) As for 75'' MFP: why not, as this was the variant that historically faced the Doras modeled in the sim. As for customisable ammo belts - I would not go as far as Cliffs of Dover as people would abuse it and use only the bullets that are effective within the game. Having a few historical variants to chose from would be great though.
  23. This small fix enables historically correct markings for all three default skins that came with the excellent D-9 module. Copy to: ...\DCS World\Bazar\Liveries\FW-190D9 FW-190D9.zip
  24. Confirmed, same issue in SP and MP. Spawned and rearmed using the Alt + ' menu.
