  1. DCS: P51D and DCS: Dora are only available at higher pledge levels, where you can select them as your reward. If you pledged $40, you get all the airplanes for DCS:WW2, but not for DCS:World. DCS:World version of FW190 is actually only available at Matrix 2 or higher ($80 pledge level, which got you two extras). DCS:World version of P51D was available at $60 level.
  2. @Luthier: If someone already has DCS : P51D, will he be able to fly this airplane in DCS:WW2 without selecting it now as a 'flyable'?
  3. @Kevman: You apparently selected a different tier: instead of the Matrix tier, you probably selected the other $80 tier that also has $12 shipping. The Matrix tier had no postage charge (so it would have only cost you $80, not $92). Check again on the Kickstarter page exactly which tier you selected.
  4. Ah, yes... That's it. The DCS:World version of Dora was available as a Reward for higher pledges. My $80 pledge gives me 6 Flyable slots for DCS:WW2, and also two Reward slots (which I chose as 'Alpha access' and 'DCS:World FW190). Instead of those two Rewards, I could have chosen the manuals, for instance.
  5. Did you select the DCS:World FW.190 Reward, or just the DCS:WW2 FW190 flyable airplane?
  6. Anyone noticed that if you select the Reward "DCS World: FW.190" and save, it will say 'estimated availability: 04/2014'? I'm very giddy about this. Within a month, I might be flying my Dora in DCS: World...
  7. I find it suspicious that every single airplane in the roster has a specific number (and or letter), except for the Spitfire. Dare I dream of Spitfire XIV?
  8. Hey backers! Nice to see you all! Hey Cowboy10UK, we seem to be bumping into each other everywhere!
  9. Patience is not a common virtue, it would appear. Ilya just posted an update and has explained perfectly well why things are slow. This is normal for a development of such complexity... I for one prefer updates when there is something to update about, and don't care much about updates in the form of "things are slow, but progressing. Nothing new to report."
  10. Update: I received the replacement PCB, installed it, and the throttle works once again. So, the solution is here. If you have problems like mine while still under warranty, the PCB will be free, if it's outside warranty, it's 50 euros.
  11. Here's a sitrep: In case your TM Warthog throttle (or joystick) bricked, you can attempt the Bootloader method to restore it: http://ts.thrustmaster.com/faqs/eng/thr_eng_00140.pdf This effectively boots the throttle and joystick in a 'boot' mode which allows you to flash the firmware again and restore functionality. This method is only effective if somehow the firmware is damaged. In my case, the throttle didn't load into 'boot' mode, and it remained as 'unknown device'. Thrustmaster support suggested that replacing the PCB might resolve the issue. If your Warthog is still under warranty (and if you purchased it from an authorized retailer), Thrustmaster will send the new PCB free of charge and you can replace it yourself (or you can ship your throttle to TM service center and they will replace it for you). In my case, I purchased my Warthog from an ebay store which is not an authorized Thrustmaster reseller, so warranty doesn't apply in my case. I can order the new PCB for a fee of 50,50 euros, which includes postage charges (dunno what the price might be if you're in the US). I'll go down this route and hope the new PCB resolves the issue.
  12. It appears my throttle bricked today too, after almost two years. I flashed it as soon as I got it to version 11, and had it running nicely ever since... Two weeks ago I upgraded my PC (previously Asus M5A99X mobo and AMD 8150, now upgraded to MSI Z87-G65 mobo and Intel I7 4770k). The throttle was running fine initially, now after two weeks it seems dead... 'Unknown device' under Win7 Devices and Printers (joystick is listed correctly)... Green LEDs (the five leds next to the Friction control) light up for a brief second when I turn on the PC, then everything is dark (usually all the LEDs were lit up when the PC was on). Doesn't help plugging it into a different USB port. Reinstalling drivers doesn't do anything. Contacted Thrustmaster support, hope they can help out with this...
  13. Hegykc, just wanted to say I'm monitoring this thread closely and will be coming over for inspection when you start printing :) Would love to see in person what you cook up... How close to the border are you?
  14. I do hope the planned list isn't definite... I'd much rather see RRG making the Tempest V and Spitfire XIV... It just seems that the western front will be rather sub-par compared to the axis airplanes - in the current lineup, germans are getting at least one generation better planes than the west (with the exception of the Mustang), so air battles might not be all that fair (or true to the actual theater WW2 is building upon).
  15. Unless I'm mistaken, you are disregarding a direct request by a moderator to stay on topic (i.e. the SDK). I find it amusing that you seem to only have joined ED forums (today?) in order to spew some hate in here. So you've either been banned recently for this exact kind of behavior, or you're on a mission... As far as SDK goes, someone said 'alpha was promised for Feb'. But was that SDK alpha, or the game alpha, because the only alpha I remember being promised is the game? I honestly don't remember the SDK specifically being promised for february, but if someone can post a link to such a statement, I'd appreciate it.
  16. Would be useful if you mentioned this is a MOBILE game, not a PC one.
  17. Merry Christmas from Slovenia!
  18. I made the suggestion over on KS, and I'll copy paste it here:
  19. I am very much looking forward to this game. I hope Michael will set up some sort of Alpha testing, I'd love to have a go...
  20. They could easily have gone the Star Citizen / Elite Dangerous way and made a Kickstarter campaign a year ago. With the weight the X series carries, it would have been a successful crowdfunding campaign, solving their financial problems, maybe even allowing them to hire a few more people to polish the game properly. And by this time, it would be much further along. Now it'll just get really bad reviews, flop, and the team won't be able to even fix all the bugs because they will go broke: after the few die hard X fans buy it, the rest of the crowd will just see a seriously malfunctioning title with outdated graphics. It really does not bode well for them, I'm afraid.
  21. Ahahaha... Good one!
  22. I think Spitfire IX will be quite a bit handicapped compared to the BF109K4... Actually, with FW190D-9, and with Me.262 added, the Axis pilots might have quite an advantage against the Allies...
  23. Not a good start there Mastiff... Threatening your community before even getting the position :) I think in general this community will prove to be adult and understanding. We're only 2500 at this point, which is small enough a number to be 'manageable' :) This isn't Star Citizen with 300k fans and backers :)
  24. Guys, Oleg is already associated with this project (as per Kickstarter page), and if he wanted to be more involved with the community, don't you think he would have done so already, at least make a public post saying hi or something? At any rate, I'd rather have Oleg developing the game than managing the community. Just a thought.
  25. What Mysticpuma said. Most of us weren't angry, just concerned. Glad to hear he's planning to get a full-time community manager.
