The 4th surprise is still under wraps
-
Hello gents, it's time to update our current roadmap As most if not all 3d work in the Harrier is done (Tarawa needs more detailing) and M2000C is being updated/enhanced, this is what's on the table as for right now: MiG-19, it's coming at a good pace, this module will be released as a full product, no beta or early access on this one, but it's coming THIS YEAR. F-15E Strike Eagle work re-started, new 3d mesh in most parts, can't comment much on this one, but it's at full steam currently. A-29 Supertucano, it's still under development, we hit a bump in the road with this one (3d dev had some personal issues) and we are a bit late on it, but work has been reinstated. MiG-23, while you see some renders, it was decided that most will be made all over again, BUT development on this one will start once the MiG-19 is released. As for the terrain development team/AI assets, they are working at full steam, this is a complete different team with different workflows and time frames, development is under way and expect news in a regular basis. So what should be expected to be released this year from us? MiG-19 for certain, but no MiG23 Finished Harrier Enhanced/updated M2000C probably an early access in either of the other modules

Thanks for opening the thread The team behind is the same team behind the MiG-19, as so, Overstratos is the guy 3d developing this beast, this is his "sweet girl", he is absolutely devoted to it. The version that will be available is the MLA, why? because it's the version we have access to, the real plane, in all it's glory so accuracy wont be a problem. As for release date, none whatsoever right now, there are some other projects STILL in 3d art department that need to be finished 1st, being one of these, the MiG-19. As usual, regular work in progress pics will be posted, either here or in FB.
-
Eventually, it will evolve into one...
-
Glad you liked, there are 3 more surprises even as 2 are not that much of a surprise. Before the "you never finish stuff" chanting begins, we have dedicated development teams for each project which guarantees fully completion of each module. As of right now, there is no particular release order, there are 2 projects right in the verge (none of these) and they wont be moved. Thanks for the patience
-
Yeah, sorry for this, it's taking longer than expected, it will happen soon
-
This is not a surprise, we have been saying we'll do one...
-
It's exactly what it is, a production line, there is so much going on after the 3d art is done, but with no art at all, no coding, and so on, so by the time we have all the art ready, the team moves to something else, since their task is complete.
-
this one made my day!, can i steal it??!
-
Its all being worked on( in fact most of it is already worked on), but on this case we have to go at the same speed as ED, which is enhancing the aircraft carrier experience i many ways
-
Full fidelity module, not sure of the time frame, BUT i believe it would be awesome it can be ready once we have the map ready, but it's too far into the future right now, but it's happening. As for AV-8A/GR.3, it's also planned, but nothing on when it will happen, i mean, not right now
-
It was my fault, the poster was supposed to be posted with some other assets pics, so i took it down till ready
-
FRS1 is on our plans, since day one

Here is more information regarding The Armée de l'Air Française's Escadron de chasse 2/5 "Ile de France" involvement in the DCS M2000C enhancement: While it has been recieved by some with a justified skepticism, This is not something that has just happened, this has been in the works behind the scenes with reviews from the French Air force, approvals from Generals, Commanders, and Captains of various squadrons on multiple bases expanding future aircraft. As of right now we will have full base access, access to active pilots flying the aircraft every week, access to simulators, equipment and documentation that can be shared to public knowledge under the Armée de l'Air Française strict and severe information disclosure policy. These are aircraft that are in active service, information is VERY sensitive to all parties involved. Reason why it's taking this long to fix and or enhance our DCS module. In the next month we will post videos, pictures of our initial base visits, and other information as our partnership expands. This is a real and absolutely incredible task we have worked hard to give you DCS pilots the best and most authentic aircraft possible.

Well, it's not reviewing, they already reviewed it, what the Escadron de chasse 2/5 "Ile de France" is actually doing is helping us create the most accurate simulated version to date (for public use) of the M2000C. It's something that has been going on for some time now, we just were cleared to let the community know
-
Expect news regarding this from July on, it's coming
-
No While the terrain will include assets, flyable aircraft are not considered as part of the package
-
Actually that's not entirely true, the fact we are not developing a DCS A-4(and I'm a HUGE fan of it, created 4 volumes covering all versions for FS9/FSX and CFS2) is because there is already a community project going on, and due to the hardships that is to create aircraft for DCS, is better to add more content than fight over a niche within a niche.

The A-7 has not been scratched, it's just waiting for proper tech within DCS

South Atlantic confirmed...oops..
