Yes, it is a circle in VR. I assume the exact size depends on the headset's field of view (but it is always too big). Perhaps we just need a slider to adjust it. As that is possible via mods, it shouldn't be too hard to implement.

Interesting. Do you see a change at all or is everything like before 2.8 for you? What's your resolution?

Thank you very much! But the question is really why there is no category in the menu? I prefer to put my own missions in the category for the respective module, instead of under "My Missions" - it is more convenient. So even if ED did not create specific missions for the A-10C, it would be nice to have the category.

Perhaps a stupid question, but still bugs me since we got the A-10C II... why?

Yeah, there were many changes. Please have a look a Volk's video: I wonder why these changes weren't announced in the patch notes.

It will get bugfixes, but no more features after the radio. That is what I understood. Not happy about it, too.

It has been discussed before, but never reported as a bug. So here it is: The night vision goggles claim the complete field of view in VR while in 2D it is possible to see the instrument panel under them which is very helpful. As far as I have read it is possible to see your surroundings under the goggles in reality, too. So this should be corrected for VR, so that we do not longer depend on mods to do so (I used 3Dmigoto which does not work anymore after patch 2.8). It is even unfair as it gives pancake pilots an advantage over VR users. Please have a look at this post from @Snoopy:

It would be so great if ED itself created a similar software. They could even sell it as a separate module. There are so many people who want to support ED, but don't want to buy additional planes.

Yeah, I used that before VAICOM, but I am not really a fan of that. And it still requires a third party app with VoiceAttack.

Thanks for your replies! @NineLine I don't know if you consider this a bug (then please move this thread to the bugs section), but would you be so nice to inform the devs about it in any case? Readability is already problematic in VR so I think it shouldn't be made any harder intentionally (and I have a good headset with G2 on 110% resolution). This issue might apply to other jets as well. EDIT: I usually don't play on monitor, but even here the MFCDs seem harder to read.

It would be great if ED implemented a simple solution to use the comms-menu with your HOTAS. All it needs are three buttons: navigate up, down and select entry. Much better than using F1-F12.

Clouds nearby look really great, but in the far distance the shimmering/aliasing is really ugly und distracting. Clouds are set to "Ultra" with 110 % resolution on my G2.

At least from the normal head position, I have problems to differentiate the letters next to markpoints for example. If I move my head closer, everything is very sharp and clearly readbale, but it is very recognizable that text and symbology look a little different now. Please have a look with day- and night setting for the MFCDS. Is it worse for you, too?

You need to remap. It is under UI Layer now.

Damn, it had to happen, but I can hardly imagine playing without VAICOM - especially in VR. I guess the devs didn't have VAICOM in mind. Do you think there might be a chance that they would have a look at it and check if the changes they introduced with 2.8 might be adapted so that it will work again?

Does 3Dmigoto work with patch 2.8?

No apologies needed. I should have explained the behavior in the first place. I recently did a full repair and I have no kneeboard mods installed. Don't know why my pin is on the first kneeboard page and not the VAICOM page. But if the bug works the way that it always jumps to the pinned page it might help Brainfreeze to remove the pin as well. It is a little annoying to do this every time, but otherwise VAICOM kneeboard is unusable.

Not sure if we talk about the same behavior. So let me try to explain my experience (English is not my native language). Auto browse should automatically open the relevant page within the VAICOM tabs according to your current situation, right? You get a JTAC message, it opens the JTAC tab. You talk to the ATC, it opens the ATC page. That is what I want. But for me it opens the first page of the regular kneeboard (which has a pin/bookmark by default) every time I get a radio message. Usually my HOTAS reference or mission specific sheets. So it leaves the VAICOM kneeboard page. As you get several messages during a 9-line talk for example I would always have to manually switch back to the VAICOM page after every message to read the notes. Only after I remove the pin/bookmark, it would stay on the VAICOM page and auto browsing between VAICOM tabs works as intended.

I have the same issue. My workaround is to remove the pin/bookmark.
