    DCS 3.0+

Well, I see your points. But even a simple PayPal donate button to support the general development of DCS World could be a solution in my opinion.

Yes, I know and I do. But I would like to pay for what I really want. It is strange to buy a module knowing you will never fly it just hoping it will indirectly support the core game. And it is the wrong signal as it further consolidates the necessity to develop more and more modules (which binds capacities) as it is the only way of generating revenue. Don't get me wrong. There is nothing wrong with new modules. If you want them, buy them and there will be more reflecting the demand. But if you do not want/need them, you should be able to spend your money elsewhere.
  3. +1 Oh yes, that would be so great! In VR you can get a glimpse of it already as you can just walk through the plane to the outside by moving with your headset in the real world (cockpit has no clipping boundaries). Standing so close to your plane is sooo immersive and makes it feel real. Even from the simulation point of view it makes sense as every pilot walks around the plane for visual inspection before flight. I would love the option to walk around in the virtual world with controller movement/teleportation as usual in VR games today and classic WASD controls for non-VR.

Why not combine the best of both worlds and keep DCS world free for everyone while still offering an option to pay voluntary? Crowdfunding works so well these days. I would love to spend some money for the development of the core game on a regular basis.
  5. The problem with a free base game and chargeable modules is that I can not pay for what I want. I do not really need further planes or maps, yet I buy them from to time just to support ED. But that's the wrong signal in some way, because now there will be more and more modules which may even take away some developer capacities. What I really want is to directly invest in the developmet of new features like Vulcan, for example. I would spend 250 $ the second I knew there was something like a crowdfunding for such features. I would be very willing to pay for additional features of existing modules, too. For example, I own the A-10c for over 10 years now and it is basically everything I need. I was so happy that we got the A-10c II upgrade, but felt "guilty" that the price was so low for existing owners. No wonder it took so long if there is no way to get revenue out of existing modules. And there are still many features left which I would love to pay for now, but I can't as there is no such option. So understandable the missing features are low priority in the development cycle. I wish this would change in the future. No fan of a subscription, but give those who are willing to spend some extra money more options. Win-Win for everyone.

  7. Yes, you can change it in the controls menu under axis commands. Just flatten the curve for HOTAS Horizontal and Vertical Slew. It is possible to set the speed directly in the TAD, too. But you would have to do that every time, so I prefer the first solution.
  8. Thank you soooooo much for this. Just great
  9. +1 (Thread should be moved to Wishlist)
  10. Thank you very, very much for this excellent HOTAS reference, Bunny. Super helpful. One Question: Would it be possible to publish the files as .pdf with "real" text, too? I tried to print them, but as the text is converted to a pixel image, the result is very poor. I would assume that other users may be interested in a printer friendly version, too?
  11. Yes, both mods. But now that you posted those comparison screenshots, I see my mistake. The mod for the A-10C II tints the HUD glass significantly darker than the cockpit windows. While the mod for the classic A-10C tints them equally. I was expecting the same contrast between HUD and windows, so I thought the mod didn't work at all. Now I see that both of them work, but differently. Me neither. They are not there by default for the classic A-10C. So no need to remove them there. But for the A-10C II it would be nice to have the option to remove them while keeping the original HUD brightness. Many thanks for your reply
  12. Apologies if I missed something (English is not my native language). I only understood there are problems like transparent cockpit and missing glass/rotors for a specific helicopter. I guess the solution might be to try translucent water version for me, too. Sorry and thanks again for your work.
  13. I have a question concerning the cockpit reflections in the A-10C und A-10C II: With the mod it seems there is no glass at all in front of the cockpit gauges of the A-10C and for the A-10C II the baked in refelctions are overpronounced (with Taz' mod to remove them, it it looks the same like in the A-10C). Is there a way to get normal looking glass in front of the instruments?
  14. Thank you very much for your great work! The mod for the A-10C II works fine. But the one for the classic A-10C does not - at least not for me. I can choose your cockpit in the speacial options for A-10C, but it has no effect in game. No complaint, just wanted to give you the info. I have VR-shaders installed and your mods with OvGME. Is it possible to get a mod that just removes the baked in reflections that does not alter the HUD? I really like you mod, but sometimes it is a little too dark und I would like the option to restore the original HUD, but without the reflections.
  15. That's a good point, Caldera. Didn't think of that. Then we need the developers feedback whether it is a bug or specifically programmed that way (and why).
  16. I am sure they don't want it. But I assume it is a technical limitation. The pod needs to make very, very small movements along two rotation axis simultaneously to follow your slew commands. The two motors acting together may cause the jitter. That's what I think, not sure about it. The actual slew stick is analog. It does not move, but it is force sensitive. The more force is applied the faster the slewing.
  17. Yes, it sounds familiar, if it is like this: The slew sensor update is not the solution to this - at least not for me. But on the contrary the first time I experienced this behavior was after installing the upgrade and I thought it was broken. But that was not the case. I just never perceived the slew jitter before, because the shitty TM Warthog slew didn't allow for such fine movements. So it happens for everyone und I was told that it is not a bug, but a feature as it is probably the same with the real targeting pod. So I am fine with it. That is my experience, perhaps Foka had a different one. Despite that you should definetly get the slew mod for your Warthog throttle anyways - it is great!
  18. Yeah, really great community. Thank you very much for the mod (version). I just installed the standard mod and it works fine so far, although my FPS gain is minimal as it seems. Started Instant Action Takeoff (Caucasus) on Legay A-10C and had 30 FPS on the runway. After the mod I have 32-33 FPS. My system is a I7-7700K @4.2 GHZ GTX 1080 32 GB RAM. Will test further. Does anyone know what the best mask size would be for the HP Reverb G2? EDIT: Performance in flight is much better now. Up to 50 FPS. Huge improvement. Cool! Now I have to get rid of the baked in reflections. They look much worse with this mod.
  19. Hi! Did you set the right course on the HSI? You need magnetic heading! Have a look at these great tables where you can find the values: Aerodrome Data and Frequencies v1.3 BTW this is the forum for the old A-10C, the forum for the A-10C II is this one.
  20. @TheGuardian Thank you very much. Then something must be wrong in my case
  21. Sorry for the stupid question, but I have not installed a campaign for years. I own "The Enemy Within 3.0" and it is installed. What do I have to do to get the updated version? Currently no campaigns for the A-10C II show up in the campaigns menu and Enemy Within does not show up in the user files section as posted by LiamK8.
  22. I have to follow the Off/Idle/Off procedure as described by some, too - no matter whether Sync Cockpit Controls is checked or not. It is an easy workaround, but annoying and an immersion killer. I wish there was a real solution... By the way: When I start a mission where the engines are already running, both throttles are always set to max power despite the HOTAS being on idele position. So I have to hit the breaks and quickly move the throttles a bit to synchronize before the plane starts to move immediately.
  23. There was a change. Now it is not Coolie Hat Up Short, but Coolie Hat Down Short to make HMD SOI.
