Deleting the module folder is the same as uninstalling a module so you did this the correct way. When other japanese ppl with the same OS don't have these problems then it's most likely not the language pack indeed. I'd try to direct download (non-torrent) a fresh module and see what happens. One thing left is delete all C++ installations and re-install 2010 C++ x64 located in 'DCS World/distr/'. Theres 2 versions in that folder, install the one named: vc2010redist_x64.exe . Beyond this i'm fresh out of ideas for now unfortunatly.

Repair didn't seem to do much, however in my personal settings 'permit crash rcvr' was turned on. Now it's turned off. Even with those missionsettings turned off fully it seemed to matter and the missionsettings didn't override personal settings. Currently i've made a handfull of hard landings single and multiplayer and seems to go as it should go without previous problems.

Is it just me or are more players having difficulties with the F15 landing gear? Even with the most gentle landing it seems to break. You see the gear go into the ground like there is no ground and then it's a bellylanding. It doesn't always happen, but mostly. I'm trying to see what causes it and to reproduce, but for the moment it's random. You don't see the gear break on landing, it just disapears into the ground. It seems to happen in single player missions as well as in my own multiplayer missions, same results on 104th server. Currently i'm using the repair function to see if that solves anything.

After updating I cant REARM my ka-50
BRooDJeRo replied to CaptainX's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
Is the airfield you're on set to your coalition OR at least have 1 vehicle of said coalition present at said airfield OR are you within 100m of a transportation truck? When you click the map and the said airfield, you can see which coalition it belongs to. When the place you try to rearm does not meet one of these conditions, you can't rearm or repair. ATC, even when belonging to the oposite coalition, will always answer and guide you to the airfield when you request a landing. -
DCS is still activated in the registery. It won't cost an activation. A long time ago i tried double deactivation to revive activations. This worked a long time ago. You can force the activationscreen by holding leftshift and press multiplayer in the singleplayer. The deactivationlink in the middle is always present, even when the client is deactivated. Perhaps this is different now or it's even a valid function of the application.

This Antivirus download doesn't have to be installed. Just put it on a USB stick or leave it in the downloadfolder, let it update and scan. It's free too. No stupid commercials etc. Personaly i protest against the current smartphones not coming with a firewall and anti-virus by standard and companies that say their OS can't be infected. Dream on Apple! The number of smartphones (also non-apple), tablets and mac's i already had to clean is conciderable. Most apps even do alot more in the background than you know and want. Six pages of advocate language tells you, but who reads six pages on a smartphone or even cares before trouble starts? You just want to play a version of shuffle-ping-pong, while somebody you don't know earns millions on your localisationinformation. Don't you want your share of that? It's still YOUR information according most local law. http://www.comodo.com/business-security/network-protection/cleaning_essentials.php

I think it's ok now to try and use the 'repair' function, see if that solves anything. You have pretty standard and common hardware including drivers so those shouldn't be a problem when 1.2.2 functioned within normal parameters. Does DCS work properly again when you delete the modules in 'DCS World/mods/aircrafts' and 'DCS World/mods/tech' apart from the Su25? Or what happens when you try minimal settings? This is manualy uninstalling modules and when DCS runs again you can conclude the downloads might be corrupt. Try to use a networkcable when downloading instead of a wireless connection when you're on wireless. Can i conclude that you are in Japan, because you use a japanese OS? It's possible the fileserver you download from might have a poor connection towards you. From which server do you download your files? A server further away might have a more stable connection. Is your Win 7 OS japanese by native or is it english with a japanese language pack installed? Perhaps the english language pack is needed too somehow. That does't mean you'll have to use it and still use your OS in japanese.

I though all that ammo was already in warehouses in Libia, but scavenged by anyone that wanted to be a major arms dealer beside being a local goat/camel farmer. The regime is gone, but whole army's can be weaponised by the amount that was there. I'm sure the rebels in Siria are using them now. -
We can't see where things are scewed up. There's no factual information provided like missionfiles/tracks/logs etc. Perhaps something simple like a shortcut to end the mission has gone haywire.

When it realy is a virus then more than one scanner should come up positive. Theres many free solutions to try to be sure. Some can be installed on a USB stick to function stand-alone. The fact you use only an imac and iphone is not a potentialy virusfree system anymore. Most viruses are made for windows systems, the existence of more virusus for linux and mac is growing. Do you have any protection on your phone and mac? They can be used as a catalyst. Welcome to 2013.

Personaly i haven't experienced this. What was your ping to the server in question? Also don't rule out that there might have been a problem with the connection itself due to provider maintenance etc. The cause you experience this can't be concluded by just looking at a video. Try to aproach it a bit more intelligently than a fast conclusion and a public video on a 3rd party website. I miss the homework...

Uhmm..BUD's in the news here, because there's tampering with the product.

DCS has far more functions than Xplane and FSX, does recognise your hardware, but does not realy know how to configure it. Best is to delete the deviceconfig of your stick in DCS, keep the keyboard config and make your own config in the stick software. Keep X, Y, rudder in DCS and use the finetuning in DCS too. Don't double config functions in your stick software and DCS. In terms of settings DCS makes games like Xplane or FSX look like childsplay.
-
I know what you mean. The solution to that is to have all personal key configurations in the software of said devices like the HOTAS etc. as much as possible. In DCS only the default key configuration is used and everything else deleted that is inserted automaticly by DCS apart from X, Y, rudder, thottle both, TrackIR and axis tune. This way a reinstallation takes the minimal amount of time.

I did a full reinstall through the torrent downloads. It was a 35 minute download without file corruption sofar. Currently i'm creating a large multiplayermission for the server and wanted to use 'bomb in zone', however in all cases it only drops 1 bomb of any type. At some point in testing this function the settings wouldn't apply anymore in the script itself. This can still be local corruption when no one else has this problem. Sofar so good. Just as the scandinavian dude, it feels like icecubes in your butt.... :D

I was thinking of a more conventional combination where there's a mix of fighters and A-10C's/Frog's red vs blue scenario's. I guess the means of working together plays a large role in it. I'm not having trouble with it myself, however theres the ocasional crying where theres no protection for the air-to-ground and get raped by the enemy fighter over and over. I totaly don't rule out human error on this though. :D

Genbrien has a point too. Perhaps the current settings aren't realistic, but wasn't there a conciderate downgrade needed to create more balance with other modules for multiplayer? I thought i heard Wags talking about this in the latest known sim podcast where he talked about DCS for an hour. So now you need to get much closer to have a positive impact? It might resolve the need for splitting up air-to-air and air-to-ground in multiplayermaps like 104th runs. When the current settings do that then i'd call it a win/+.

Thx for the great update ED!

Settings in the 'Saved Games/DCS' folder will remain present unless overwritten by the new client. I guess fresh settings is always best. I usualy copy and paste the settings folder somewhere else and delete the old one to re-insert vital parts like missions etc. lateron in the newly generate settingsfolder. Using old settings after an update can give trouble sometimes. The downside is you need to walkthrough the settings and key-configs/calibrations again. In the end, it will pay off.

The A10-C version you have is the earlier developed stand-alone version. If you want DCS World like the rest of us, download the free DCS World client AND the A10-C module that belongs to DCS World. It's different software about the same product. It will be a seperate installation. U can use your A10-C 1.1.1.1 serial to activate the A10-C DCS World module. These 2 links are the files you need. The torrent download is the fastest at the moment. You can remove the standalone A10-C 1.1.1.1 client if you wish. It doesn't hook into World in any way. http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/index.php?scr=product&ProductId=21&end_pos=137&lang=en http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/index.php?scr=product&ProductId=8&end_pos=136&lang=en

The roadmap to 1.2.4 starts after 1.2.3. release and posible hotfixes. The line must be drawn somewhere, although this is the consumers roadmap. Please let us have our own development roadmap just like the big boys in Moscow. :D

Could be corruption of the DCS World download itself. You can use the repair funtion, but with the mass-updating going on that might take a while. The repair function will re-download the client most likely. A re-download of World by torrent and manual installation might be the quickest solution. I used the torrent for World and it's modules, did a full manual re-installation and runs fine sofar.

My DL went to 3-4 MB/s each, anyways, time for diner. Thx for the release Mr. Wags.
