  1. Perhaps the F/A-18 will be a part of the FC3 final release. It would make sense to have a NATO fighter with carrierlaunch capabilitys too like the Russian Su-33. Theres maybe a smell around the F15-C tailhook and have that one as the NATO carrier fighter counterpart and The F/A-18 as a A10C-like module? It must be some combination...
  2. Is this similar with the impact of the hangars at Senaki? They seem to be animated too and in numbers.
  3. I've baked some cookies... Keep in mind that this package doesn't have Mr. Panzertards direct aproval. The soapy reasons around the fact that Servman 3 never got updated go beyond my personal knowledge. All i've done is merge the Servman code section from the official Servman 3.0.1 RC1 package into the main.lua file of the current DCS World 1.2.2 build. I'm also not a codewizard so its possible the code is old compared to whats in the latest main.lua file. HOWEVER...it seems to work as it worked in Servan 3.0.1 RC1 that you can find here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=73625 The difference with this package is that the missionfilefolder is included again. It doesn't exist anymore in DCS World as we know it today. Servman seems to need that folder badly with at least one .miz file in it. This is the location where the missions need to be in to make use of missionvoting etc. included in Servman. The main.lua file is also modified. The official servman main.lua file is based on the DCS version that was live when Servman 3.0.1 RC1 was released. This was DCS 1.1.0.8. This file needs to be updated on every DCS World version change basicly. Please correct me if i'm wrong, although it seems to be very obvious. In short: The fact that this update seems to run could be based on pure luck and virgin Maria's blessing or i'm right on the spot and ED top-salary worthy. My old upload is deleted. Included package Read Me: ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Servman 3 DCS 1.2.2.7570_69 Non-Official ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Installation: - Copy and paste the contents of the DCS World folder in this package into your DCS World gamefolder. - Overwrite the main.lua file when promted. The original main.lua file is renamed included in this package. - Change default settings in DCS World/Scripts/Addons/ServMan3/serverconfig.lua NOTE: Use a program called Notepad++ to successfully modify .lua files. 4. Eno's correct. I have a quickfile upload somewhere on this forum, although it is based on the previous DCS 1.2.2 build and has a different main.lua file. I don't have anything uploaded corresponding the current 1.2.2 build. It is installed on the servermachine, but don't have a installerpackage ready.
  5. We're already deep in the rabbithole. We can't go any deeper, too close to the planets core. Deleting old settings to make software work does not have to be unusual after an upgrade. Settingscorruption seems to happen with many games, is often random and the fix is easy.
  6. He ran away..... --> that direction...
  7. Indeed, i found in my homebrew gamingmachines that informationspeedcapability is far more important than the fastest CPU or GFX card. A double SSD with the OS and software seperated, instant request and writing together with at least 8Gb DDR3 1600Mhz or 4Gb DDR2 800Mhz RAM seems to eat any game on the market today regardless having the latest CPU or GFX card. This is why pre-build machines and laptops usualy lack speed on high settings. Boycot DDR3 1333Mhz!!!
  8. You just payed for the licence, didn't install it yet and the game doesn't start? Is that what you're trying to say?
  9. So the OS RAM is too slow for the RAM of the GFX card?
  10. Making a plane shortly stall to the left and right at mach 0.8 slows you down too to flapspeeds, no need to for an extra turn. The flying brick aproach works too like done in the movie Space Cowboys at the end of it. Also based on a controlled stall. Works great when you're too high to land.
  11. Ofcourse it will matter... Current engine: 2 cores EDGE: multicore = moar resources + airfield parkingspace lights. It will finaly make use of ALL your hardware. How can you say it wont matter?
  12. Anno 2013 you need to ask yourself the question if its cost-effective first. Redev the current engine costs money. As a standard part of World it means its a free item. So perhaps as a seperate module, but that might not be possible in the current setup. A new engine is being worked on, so why put alot of effort (= money) in the old engine to make it work. That means less budget for other things like extensive bughunting before release resulting in less stable clients etc. making the circle of missery complete again.
  13. At the moment no, maybe the new EDGE engine will be better suited for it. I also think the devs would like a stable singleseater network environment too before evolutionairy steps are taken. It might need a full redevelopment of the current engine in which case its better to think about these things in EDGE if its even possible in EDGE. And even further down the road, does the knowledge to create it even exist in the first place. Creating something functional is one, but what does it do under stress.
  14. Some older X52's and X52's have minor bugs in the firmware. According to personal communication it doesnt seem possible to upgrade the firmware. The is because there isnt any firmware upgrade available, there is no USB software for a possible upgrade or cheaper EPROMS are used instead of EEPROMS. Once the chip is pre-programmed in the chipmachine its installed and permanent. In my case i have a bug when i use a commandname that is longer than the width of the MFD, it will lock up and freeze the PC's USB system. Hard reboot is the only option to recover. Newer X52 Pro's do seem to have firmware upgrade possibilitys isnt it?
  15. Correct, but the current budget shortage might trigger some odd deals here and there.
  16. Check 'internet' instead of 'LAN' when 'start new server'. Any port you set will do, but needs to be forwarded. The pit doesnt need 10308 ingoing so it needs to be changed to the other machine ofcourse otherwise you'll only see inranet as you do now.
  17. I heard in the news alot of F16's amongst nations are being replaced by F35's and F22's. This means fresh brew for the jet oldtimermarket that might scream for a reasonable budget training simulator. Or will everything go to a graveyard so an ordinary farmer cant have his own F16 for cropdusting in the barn?
  18. Must......wine...

  20. When it's realy the earlier mentioned radiostation then i guess i'll have to wear my 70's new age suit again too... I heard the world will go down in major disaster in 2013... :music_whistling: Btw Nero, i hope those people from the last hurricane are not in tents anymore, although Al jazeera showed people in tents still.
  21. Perhaps this said DJ is already on this forum, which lead to the interview in the first place? At least, i would be here when i was having an interview with Mr. Wags. USE BIG WORDS
  22. Or come to the conclusion that multirole missiondesign isnt as easy as it seems even with the perfect tools provided.
  23. Our planets economics. Statements leads to self-forfilling prophesy's.
