  1. Can anyone elaborate on what this actually does? It's nice to know how to fix the problem but I'd like to know why. Presumably you can change between a pilot selectable elevation (using the data up and down keys) or a pre-determined waypoint elevation from (DTS) using the SEL keys... Now, during a cold start it defaults to the pilot selectable elevation rather than the DTS which contains the correct elevation data. Is this the reason why we get the CCIP Invalid message? The pipper must be using this, incorrect, elevation and hence the error?
  2. Yeah, all good here using GTX460 and Nvidia Inspector. Looks like an Anisotropic Filtering problem. I prefer to set my own GFX setting rather than letting the application decide.
  3. My point is not that the wings disappear, but that when they only partially disappear there is a horrible, hard line where the wing pokes out of the cloud. It looks naff! Please see the images in my previous post.
  4. Dunno, hence the question! I know nothing about .lua files tbh. Well, two state switches exist (CICU, JTRS, HUD Day/Night etc), so why not 3 state switches like the Master Caution? There must be a way to add code into the .lua to do this??
  5. I'm also getting this as well. You can see the wing disappear as you pan around using TIR. See the images in this tread too: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1129725&postcount=148
  6. lol! At least it's not just me :)
  7. Having a look through the keyboard .lua in the new patch indicates no changes from the release version. I have a programmable keyboard and I'm trying to allocate one push button to the function of the Master Arm switch, however this is a tri-state switch (3 positions ;) :D) and there doesn't appear to be a 'Toggle' function in the .lua file for tri-state switches (e.g. Master Arm, Laser Arm, Gun PAC etc) but there are singular commands. This makes sense for those guys hooking up I/O hardware to physical switches, but it would mean using three push buttons on a keyboard. Not ideal... Is there any way of creating your own toggle functions in the .lua file in order to acheive this? Will toggle functions for tri-state switches be added to future patches? Can't be too hard right??!
  8. Ditto here. And the same here. Now it just beeps annoyingly like a 1980s arcade game. You can see the oil pressure needles fluctuating slightly as the fan blades of the engine rotate... Is it me or has static been added to some of the radio comms? Particularly ATC in bad weather?? Sounds good :) Rain effects look good and fps in bad weather seem to be better. However, I don't like the effect of the clouds as you pass through them. They seem to cut off part of the wing with a really hard edge - it looks pretty naff tbh. This was happening in the release too. Hopefully it's a GFX setting or something??
  9. I'm with you on that one mate, as Coolts and I found out today after about two hours of trying to get it to work... I hope ED get this fixed soon and the next patch rolled out quickly. EDIT> Good stuff Nate, and thanks for the 'interim' patch
  10. Coordinate input seems to be the flavour of the week ;) :D
  11. Completely agree. It's useful to know another method as a backup. Excellent write-up Warrior and an interesting note on UTM/MGRS from StrongHarm. Thanks  It's good to know *why* I'm doing things wrong at times ;)
  12. It appears that there are no toggle commands for tri-state switches (e.g. Master Arm, Laser Arm etc) in the release version, however there appears to be singular commands. This makes sense for those guys hooking up hardware switches... However, I have a programmable keyboard and I'd like to use one key to toggle each state of a tri-state switch, such as the Master Arm, rather than using three separate keys for each state. Is there any way of creating your own toggle function in the .lua file in order to acheive this?
  13. Just to confirm, it was definitely Hypoxia  :D Switched the O2 supply to 100% and it cured the wonky vision ;) Thanks for your help guys - glad it's a feature (a cool one at that) and not some hardware problem :D
  14. Is that really it?? To be fair I would have been at about angels 20, so there would be a strong possibility of it happening. I definitely had the oxygen on the second time as I distinctly remember testing it during the ramp start. Could it be a bug in this training mission or somewhere else? Has anything changed in the start-up sequence in the release version since Beta 3 wrt the oxygen system? I'm using an old checklist from B3... I'll retest it tomorrow morning. If it happens again I'll try descending and see if it cures the hypoxic state! Good catch (I hope).
  15. Yep, It's definitely possible. Thanks, I'll give this a shot.
  16. Yep, installed the redistributable just as a matter of coarse. 3D settings appear to be off in the Nvidea control panel... Not sure how else to check it... Will try and roll back the driver next. Will also try another mission first to see if it is repeatable.
  17. Yeah, not sure if I have been Alt-tabbing or not during that mission, certainly not around the time of the anomaly happening. I does look a bit like a 3D, stereoscopic image. Any idea how I might disable this? Strange that it happens at a random point in the mission...
  18. Installed the 64-bit release version the other night, but I'm finding that after about 20 mins of play I get a strange almost double-vision effect all across the screen. See this screen dump: Linky I'm running an Nvidia GTX460 which is factory overclocked only. I'm using Nvidia's latest driver (268.56 iirc). Vsync, HDR and TSAA are all enabled. I've also checked that the card isn't running too hot - 62 deg C doesn't seem too bad during game play... I'd upload a track from the last mission (Hideout) I ran, but I don't know where the last, default track is kept these days (if at all). Please help - this is making the sim unplayable!!
  19. I really hope this gets fixed soon as I was planning on reprogramming my Tipro keyboard this weekend...
  20. Good news Shu, thanks for the update. Looking forward to it
