I take it the MFDs are static? Could you (theoretically) run two instances of this on two separate iPads?

I think the resolution my be too low. From memory they are 640x480 and have an RCA/S-Video output. I think I've still got two somewhere that I intended hooking up to Falcon many moons ago...

It certainly is, and a deal-breaker for me. I no longer use the Simpeds, although there is nothing wrong with them other than not having independent toe breaks and the gameport interface. However, they can still be used via the Cougar base... My Saitek Pro Flight rudder pedals spike like crazy. Pots are a thing of the past for me. My guess would also be "pots", otherwise they would be singing and dancing about it on the website ;)

Do the pro flight combat rudder pedals have hall effect sensors as opposed to pots?

Nice setup so far Flim :thumbup: Should the front panel/bezels ever come to fruition, is it something you guys would consider selling via SCS? Would be a neat thing to buy (I have a child on the way so my pit building days are numbered! ;) ) along with one of your seats and maybe even a UMC!

Nope, it's not in Nevada. I have no idea in Beta 3 as I'm not using it ;) Like I said, best to create your own, particularly if you're running b3.

Rather than try to learn it verbatim, I found it more productive to try to create missions that would use various functions of the CDU. My advice: read though all of the pages, no matter how dry it may be. Then create some missions that will help you use certain functions of the CDU. For example, the 'Smerch Hunt' mission will teach you how to input JTAC coordinates if you have done your homework. Then re-read the CDU section again. This will reinforce what you have learnt and you will be more familiar with the terminology. That's how I did it but ymmv! No cheat sheet, you just have to 'want' to learn it. You have to think 'how do i do...' then find the solution to that particular problem. Good luck.

Are the MFDs extracted via HELLIOS or are they done via the usual multi-monitor hack? Edit: well and truly snipered ;)

Agreed. There definitely seems to be conflicting opinions. No post here for nearly a week. Sounds like you guys have had it bad.

Too many sequential writes in big chunks will definitely do it by the sounds of it. Just been back-tracking where I read this and it turns out it was an issue with xp/Vista. Reading the OCZ forums they recommend having the pagefile on the SSD in Win7. Makes sense tbh. I'm so close to getting one of these. If it wasn't (financially) a bad time of the year I'd be reaching for my bank card...

I agree, you'll get better performance, undoubtedly, but I thought that this would cause a problem with the OCZ Vertex drives? Doesn't the Sandforce controller throttle the speed of the drive when writing lots of uncompressed data to it? At least that's how I read it...

Yeah, I've heard good reports regarding their controllers. No idea what they are like price-wise.
