  1. You'll go blind ;) Definite candidate for thread title of the year award :D Glad you managed to master it. I can do it, but my success rate is still a bit hit and miss. Any tips?
  2. +1 here, although I had this in 1.0.0.6. Everything else seems to be relatively smooth on Med-High settings for me. Get the odd stutter every now and again.
  3. How about the Net ID bug? (Group ID and Own ID changing after take-off) Has that been fixed??
  4. Yeah, I would add in the check lists then release it. They really need to be in (albeit in a basic form) for it to be an awesome little app. You can always tweak it later. I'd add the database in later if it's likely to be a big job. You've done an amazing job with this Sickdog
  5. Yeah, I also noticed that. Very impressed :) It isn't in this patch as far as I'm aware.
  6. -Ice, the Serpent's Tail (IIRC!) mission combines mountainous flying and a low ceiling. This will definitely test your low flying skills! It's quite a nice route, but evil in the bad weather  The hills soon open out to reveal the target area, but you have to fly back through them to RTB. I think the home plate is Viziani, but it could be wrong. It's a while since I've flown it...
  7. hehe, as Ice will testify, that normally gets me in trouble :D Cheers for amalgamating these threads - Ice beat me to it ;)
  8. Spotting and marking air threats - how? Whilst flying online over the last week or so, a few of us have been wondering what the best method is for marking air defence threats, particularly whist flying down low in the weeds. Say for instance you are running in low and spot some AAA. What do you do if you want to accurately mark where you spotted the AAA, for your wingy to come in and attack, or for yourself to attack on the next run? What is the quickest way of doing this? Ok, you could get eyes on target and reference it to a ground feature, then add a mark point in the TAD, but this doesn't seem very accurate. The TGP is useless as it is like looking down a drinking straw. It's also very slow. That leaves the HUD. Which is quicker to slew, but has a limited FOV. Would be interested to hear what methods people use for marking air threats.
  9. Yeah, looking good. But I already have these on my iPhone as pdfs. Still, it's good that they will be included in the app. Now get to work on that virtual kneepad!! :bash: (jk ;))
  10. Either way, the ATC at the moment is a major weakness and needs sorting imo. It would be such a shame for a sim this good (probably the best ever made to date) to be spoilt by poor ATC. Sims are all about immersion, detail and realism. This is one of those things that really kills off those factors. (rant over ;) )
  11. There my also be security issue with this, unless it is all done behind your firewall. I have to say that this is a stonking idea, good work Sickdog for taking the initiative  I may have to pick up a cheapo iPad1 if an iPad version is made :)
  12. I'd like to extend my thanks to Ky for his stirling work. He ensured that my covers got to me one way or another. Can't thank him enough for that  If you are in any doubt about ordering a set of these, then do not hesitate. The quality is top notch and they look the part too. Don't forget that for a small cost you are protecting a large investment. Another very happy customer
  13. Hehe:lol: That's Karma for my pitiful performance the other night during our MP flight! ;) I can't hit a barn door from 2 paces, but I can tune my radios! (I still don't know how though).
  14. I've given up on starting any campaigns. Either there are issues or CTDs. I'll wait for a patch to fix these...
  15. Stone the crows, it works!! The weird thing is that I can't work out what I was doing wrong previously. I tried my old method and Warrior's method and they both worked?! Thanks, as always, to WarriorX for another excellent video
  16. Right, I'm going to master this if it kills me! Thanks for the vid Warrior  Off to give it a try...
  17. ^^ Ditto. I've never had the presets working. Ironically it's probably the easiest system on the whole plane lol! I've followed every radio tutorial on this forum ;) I must be doing something fundamentally wrong (yes, I have APU power etc). It'll be one of those head-slapping moments if I ever finally get it to work, I'm sure of it!
  18. Excellent read, thanks for sharing. Reminded me of when I used to work for a company that had some Bulgarian software developers. Used to go over there every now and again... BTW: There is only one 'Ed ;) :D :D
  19. Many thanks Nate  This would explain the problems we were having in the CSAR multiplayer mission the other day.
  20. Great info - thanks  What kind of lateral movement do you have i.e. what if your targets aren't in a line?
  21. Post of the day so far - thanks Paul, great info
  22. Anyone? I suspect only the devs can answer this as there doesn't appear to be any detailed info in the manual about it.
  23. Thanks for your input guys (no pun intended ;)) Good food for thought. Yes, I see what you mean - toggling through and armed state could well be an issue, however it is not the case on some of the other switches ('Flt Pln' and 'Page' spring to mind). It would be very useful to be able to toggle those with one key. Care to elaborate? Is this something you could do perhaps?? I know nothing about .lua files... ;) rud> Your suggestion is a very good compromise and a logical way of reducing the number of keys in use. It would work for me if it wrapped around i.e. you could toggle in either direction: OFF -> Train -> Arm¬ |_________________| or OFF <- Train <- Arm¬ |_________________| BTW, the reason I am doing this is because I use a programmable keyboard (that I used to use for Falcon 4) for my MFDs. I seemed silly not to use the extra keys! ;) Don't get me wrong, the virtual cockpit is the way to go for start-ups and free flight. But when you are in the soup, this thing is much quicker and easier to use :) Here it is: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=61693
