  1. Thanks  Interesting info on refuelling, gonna give this a shot later on.
  2. I learned a lot from this video and now I can get much more accurate kills with the JDAM than before. Many thanks
  3. Nice :) How do you add a tanker to a mission? Also, are there any available in any of the included missions?
  4. Yep, it's a slideshow anywhere near Nellis for me. Glad to hear that there are already improvements on Beta 2 ;)
  5. Awesome stuff mate, keep up the good work  Looking forward to the next release :)
  6. Or put a cover over them when not in use, as I do ;)
  7. It's all about their choice of switch IMHO. They didn't put a cap on because, a) it costs more and b) the real throttle panel switches do not have them on ;)
  8. It's changed me from a mediocre pilot into a lean, efficient killing machine :D (ok, not so lean ;)) Get yourself some real rudder pedals, it's what basic flying is all about. It really adds to it all  Forget about TARGET for now, you don't need it. Just plug both stick and throttle in and it should install the drivers automatically iirc. If not, install TARGET and forget about it. TARGET is porked for now unless you switch to a US location/keyboard layout. It should be fixed soon, according to Guillaume, but you don't need it just yet. DCS: A10 will do the rest :)
  9. Great news :) How about CBUs? Finally downloading. COME ON, HURRY UP!!!
  10. Excellent :) What's the crack with regards to installation? Do we need to do a clean install or just apply the patch? Anyone encountered in show-stoppers yet??
  11. No worries! :)
  12. Ok, yes you are correct! Using this will definitely stop you hitting the deck :) Totally agree. I was thinking along the lines of SA, as in directing yourself to the target, as a padlock cue would. Sorry to confuse the issue GG
  13. Which one? Do you mean the 'cardinal arrow' (can't remember the technical name). I find the TGP one really useful though. Ok, it only shows the relation of the TGP pod to the a/c, but you can still use it to position yourself.
  14. Likewise! Patch notes would be great
  15. Don't feel guilty, you have been the most useful person I have come across today! It prompted me to go check the DCS site :D :D Thanks  .
  16. Edit> Beaten to it! LOL, I thought you might like that result :D I support neither, but it made me laugh! Back on track... I had another look at my throttle this morning and there does seem to be about +/- 1mm of travel on each throttle lever. Hadn't really noticed it before. So you are not alone! Hopefully this is something that will remain constant. As the levers appear to be made of delrin (hard plastic), it could be temperature related...

  18. Yeah, the TGP SA cue (small dot) is really handy. Whilst in a turn I tend to dib my head down (TrackIR) to take a quick gimps of it to get SA.
  19. A very honest and accurate review  Not experienced any slop in either of my throttles, but definitely something to keep an eye on. Might be worth tinkering with the friction wheel, see if that helps?
  20. Cheers for that. Think I tried that but I'll have another go. Don't think I used a leading '0' in the longitude, so maybe that was where I was going wrong?
  21. I've mapped the Mic switch to the TGP pod slew for now. You can map each slew driection to the Mic buttons as well as an axis. Seems to work well. I then use the CMS centre button (currently unused) as a modifier so that I can still use the Mic switch when this is pressed in. How about using the slider on the throttle for zoom?
  22. ... Also, how do I input lat/long coordinates into the CDU? In the 'Smerch' mission the coordinates are (43-2-6N / 44-13-17) for the 3rd set of targets. I've tried numerous ways to input this but I get a 'CDU Input Error' every time (I've checked that L/L is selected and that UTM isn't active ;))
  23. 1, MAV fix / TGP pod / CBUs 2, TGP slew rate fix 3, Roll rate fix 4, ILS fix 5, Radios (further advance on what we have now, not necessarily voices though) 6, JTAC fixes and documentation 7, Nvidia bugs This for me would add a lot more to the sim, but it is from a purely selfish point of view. I'm happy with what I've got for now, although a patch would be nice :D I agree with Coolts. I'm sure they will be concentrating on the hardware related issues first and foremost. The rest will get polished after that.
  24. Apologies mate, I completely misread your post before. As the others said, both Blacks Shark and A-10C share the .exe, so set everything up as per 'Digital Combat Simulator: Black Shark.
  25. Yeah, I know what you mean. It's a bit like man-handling a porcupine! Not nearly as comfortable as the Cougar grip, but meaty and industrial :D I tend to rock/wiggle each throttle by pushing and pulling each part of my left hand. Helps to even them out. To push the right throttle forward I push with my right thumb and pull with my pinky and 3rd finger. Visa versa for the other throttle. 'The wiggle' evens them out :) Never thought of them not being even! I'm gonna be checking that a bit more in the future
