I assume you are referring to Beta 3? Getting crashes in the Hide Out mission. It may be JTAC/FAC related though. HDR is also not working in that mission, as in Beta 2.

It'll be ineresting mapping unused keys for that ;) X-Keys, wow haven't seen those guys for a while. Didn't know they were still around. They used to sell an x-y matrix controller that I almost bought before the Tipro.

Thanks :) Yes, it will work alongside your existing KB. Mine is a PS2 connection, which will eventually be obsolete, but you can now buy a USB version that will also work alongside USB keyboards. There is software included that will allow you to program keystrokes. At the moment it isn't Win7 64-bit compatible, but they will be releasing a new version soon which is. I used an old laptop running XP to program mine. I still tend to use the clickable 'pit for start-up and shut-down, but this thing is much easier to use when you are in the thick of it! ;)

Decided to dig out my old Tipro programmable keyboard last weekend. I used to use it for Falcon when I lived in a flat and had no space to build a proper pit - it worked really well. Well, now I have a house and a child on the way and still have no space! :D It has 128 keys and each key can have four permutations with the use of a 'shift key'. However I've only ever used on layer. You can program key combinations to it (e.g. ctrl+c), which is what made it attractive in the first place. It has a PS2 connection, however the newer ones are now USB (Google 'Tipro Free' or 'Tipro MID'). The key covers are removable so that you can print out key legends to place underneath. I only have a handful of keys programmed at the moment (gear, NVG, canopy, pause, active pause etc), but I'm hoping that Beta3 will have most of the clickable keystrokes mapped. If anyone have an extensive list of these it would be really useful :) I can be programming the newer key strokes whilst I'm downloading the beta :D I'm happy with most of the keys I've got allocated, but I may add/remove others as and when... As the other guys have mentioned, B3 should improve things. Sounds like you have most things on low, which may be the only way to go for now. The biggest culprits, fps-wise, are Civilian Traffic, Water, HDR and TSSA. Try turning those off and experimenting with other settings until you get a balance between eye candy and fps.

What little time I do have I've been using to concentrate on weapon deployment and other systems. I'm getting pretty proficient in most areas, so hopefully I'll be able to concentrate on the ME next. Will let you know how I get on with the missions.

Yeah, I've managed to 'hack' into some of the included missions and deploy different weapons, however my ME skills are somewhat lacking! I was hoping for a different scenario whereby I can practice JTAC comms. Getting bored of the few JTAC missions that I do have, but don't really have the time to sit diwn and create my own :( Need some different targets! :D

If you have the new Warthog stick, I read that you can assign button presses rather than keys in v5 of the TIR software. I haven't tried it yet, but it could be another option :)

I completely agree, the JTAC missions are phenomenal. Does. Anyone know if the LGB mission, mentioned above, is included in the latest beta?

Would be interested in flying that mission if you're thinking of sharing it when you've done mate? Can't get enough JTAC missions at the moment. Wish I had more time to create some of my own...

I'll let someone more qualified than me answer your question, but as I am learning at the mooment, there is a lot to learn wrt the radios. You need to make sure you have both the correct radio, frequency, intercom and Mic switch set accordingly if you are using 'hard' comms: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=61144 If you are able to contact other towers ok and it is just that airfield that you cannot contact, it's possible that it is a WIP issue and nothing else. There's still a lot of work to be done on the radios imo. HTH
