  1. This is something I knocked up a few years ago. Not the cheapest option, but nice and compact and easily configurable: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=1032797#post1032797
  2. Wow! Ice you've really made progress! When we spoke the other day you were on your way down to B&Q, now you have a constructed pit!! Good work! WRT the extension tube for the stick, if you are unsuccessful with the plastic tube, why not use a metal tube and borrow a pipe bender off a mate/plumber? Ok, you'll have to paint it, which means more work, but it could be another option. Just a thought! Loving the pit build thread :) Very jealous! :D
  3. Thanks for the heads up on that mate, I'll keep an eye out for it  I have to say I'm massively impressed with the NGX so far. Only done two very short flights so far, but it is awesome. The performance is excellent, given the complexity, and even at the busiest airports where frame rates are low, it is still buttery smooth. This is testament to the PMDG's optimisation of the code - no mean feat in FSX! Even real 737 pilots are raving about it on the avsim forum, so it must be pretty good. Everything is modelled to the minutest detail! Beautiful :D The collimated HGS is also incredible - a first (properly) in FSX. Radar Contact is definitely worth a go for IFR flight - far better than the stock ATC. I just wish the ACT in DCS: A-10C was better :(
  4. Completely agree, very professional. Hopefully I'll be home soon enough and I'll be downloading. Gonna be a fun weekend :)
  5. Hehe, no worries mate  So, did anyone get it? I woke up to mayhem on the Avsim forum. Sounds as though there was a cyber attack on the PMDG servers and only 42 have downloaded the NGX?
  6. We're not. Andy clearly stated that he likes to spend his money on flight sim goodies. Me too in fact. Sooo close to the release. I can feel it. The tension is mounting over on 'the other' forum :smilewink:
  7. Yep, the AoA training is fantastic. I have their 747 DVD and it is far better than wading through (literally) thousands of FCOM pages. I'll be buying it for the 737. Needless to say, I also have the manuals. Check out these bad boys: http://www.precisionmanuals.com/ProductCart/pc/viewCategories.asp?idCategory=20 One day to go :)
  8. Many thanks Peter. Thought I was going mad ;) Will check back there at a later date.
  9. Can someone post the *exact* link for the 'Devil's Cross' and 'The Shore' campaign files on the Lock On site? Can't find them... Ta.
  10. Hmm, that's a bit pants. Especially as I have 128 kb entries! Looks like a manual edit is the way forward.
  11. I'd also like to know what happens when you import a kb file from an older version? I have a kb file backed up from before the release version that has custom key bindings (I use it with my programmable keyboard). Say, for instance, some new functions are added in a lter version that require new keys, would I be missing out on those keys by using an old keyboard file? Or does DSC:WH just parse the file and allocate the bindings?? (sorry to hijack your thread razorseal!)
  12. @ OP - I think it would be easier if you read up on the offset page in the CDU. By using this you can input the bearing and range from the bullseye and create a steerpoint which appears on your TAD. Much easier and quicker than fannying around with the TAD cursor etc
  13. Good news mate. Hope to see you in the air soon
  14. Nice shots, thanks for sharing. Which airfield were you at? Kippis! Ed
  15. Eh? Who's producing the flight manual - 'is it official'? I'm assuming it's in Korean? Will there be a UK/US version?
  16. Well, I'm waiting for my first child and patch v1.0.0.8 to arrive - just think how I feel ;) :D
  17. +1 on this too. Something like this could tempt me though: http://shop.ubi.com/store/ubiemea/en_GB/pd/productID.221861800

    UFC KIT

Ahh, I see. Sounds good. Just need to get a good finish on the wood and match the paint. sounds very do-able! I'm going to have to bit the bullet and get into Helios. No two ways about it! :)

    UFC KIT

Flim, that would be really useful, thanks. I'll make myself a custom PCB as I can get them made pretty easily... Are the buttons currently backlit? If so, what do you use to backlight them? Is there any way of getting an output (via LUA) so that we can get the Master Caution button to light up? Edit> Flim, this suggests that the kit comes unpainted!! Is this the case? What about the legends (text) in the UFC front panel. Are they stickers? Or are they engraved?? I'd assumed that the kit comes pre-panted and all we have to do is assemble it?
  20. Excellent tutorial as always Warrior

    UFC KIT

Very nice indeed Flim! :) Will you be shipping to the UK? Also, are there any other switch options? I'm not big on those push buttons - the travel is far too much. Tactile microswitches would be my preferred option: http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?Detail&name=450-1650-ND Is there any room to fit a PCB behind the buttons and still backlight them? Sorry for the questions!
  22. Roger that :D I'm gonna give this some more practice if I ever get a minute this week :disgust:
