  1. Another sample of DO memory. Both the "ghost" contact and the locked target are in the screen at the same time. The radar is in PIC (STT) mode.
  2. Yes. The ghost contact will remain until you erase it with RAZ. Even if you have locked another target or the radar is in PIC (STT). The ghost vector always represent the last locked contact. Only one exists. The previous one will be replaced by the new one when the radar loses it.
  3. RDO only affects DO for manual radar unlock. RDO is ON by default.
  4. Radar memory is now enabled. This function is always active. The radar always save the last locked contact to memory. If the contact is lost for any reason (manually unlocked, target breaks lock, target is destroyed, etc.) a yellow "ghost" contact is displayed. This ghost contact will then move in the last known vector direction. The ghost contact is always displayed unless you erase it by clicking UP on the RAZ button on the VTB.
  5. Please read the manual, it has been updated to include Magic MAV. Basically MAV is enabled for as long as the Magic missiles are active. They become active in two ways: 1. By selecting MAGIC via HOTAS 2. By clicking on the MAG button in the PCA, which will display MAV to indicate that the missiles are active. Using PCA MAG/MAV, also allows the pilot to use the Magic seeker with other weapons: Guns, S530D, Bombs, etc. But remember, that although the missile can be locked on a target, it will not fire until you select MAGIC via HOTAS.
  6. Question, where you using MAG or CAN? PCA bottom row is disabled when Magic or AA guns are the selected weapon. PCA bottom rown is enabled when the CNM (Canon-Neutral-Magic) HOTAS switch is in the N (neutral) position,
  7. Magic MAV search zones:
  8. PI bombin release.bug is fixed on development. Awaiting test for release.
  9. Indeed, since now the Magic seeker is not boresighted but following a search pattern it can take a few seconds to get a lock. The fastest pattern is Narrow Vertical, the one with the brackets.
  10. Just a heads up. Magic lock now takes a few seconds. Before you ask, yes that is how it works in real life.
  11. Well, I was told by the AdA that the S530D forbids the display of the triangle, so we get the circle inside square.
  12. More Magic MAV goodies. Now it is possible to use the Magic missiles with other weapons. The missiles will not fire unless selected but they will lock on a target. Magic and radar lock with the S530D as the selected weapon. Magic and radar lock with the guns as the selected weapon. Magic MAV search is active while the aircraft is in AG attack mode with Mk-82 as the selected weapon. The radar lines are a development feature and are not visible in the release version.
  13. The AOA in the HUD is a M-2000-5 feature. It was disable by request from the AdA. It is possible to enable it by selecting the checkbox in the Special Options tab.
  14. The MAV search patterns are as follows: With MAGIC missile selected: - Vertical Wide Search (default mode) - Vertical Narrow Search With MAG PCA button selected (MAGIC missile not required to be selected) - Horizontal Wide Search (default) - Vertical Narrow Search. Search modes are changed by clicking on the NAV Update / MAGIC Unlock HOTAS button. Description: - Vertical Wide Search: It is a 20º wide x 40º tall search (The bottom is 10º below the gun cross). Very similar to the radar Vertical Scan. - Vertical Narrow Search: It is a 6º wide x 6º tall box centered around the gun cross. Similar to the radar SVI Scan. A box is displayed indicating the HUD area where the seeker is searching. The box is removed upon missile lock. - Horizontal Widw Scan: With missiles in both wings it is a 70º wide x 15º tall search zone. With a single missiles it is a 40º wide x 15º tall search zone. It is similar to the radar BAH Scan. The MAG PCA button enables MAV search, allowing to use the MAGIC missiles as a IR scanner, without the need to select the missile. MAV search via MAG PCA button initializes to Horizontal Wide Search, unless the Vertical Narrow Search mode is already selected. MAV search can be used in NAV mode or with any AA weapon selected. When selecting MAGIC via the HOTAS CNM button, MAV search is initialized to Vertical Wide Search unless the MAV is already in Vertical Narrow Search.
  15. Magic MAV search patterns are enabled and under test. In this FB video are two search patterns: - Vertical Wide Search (default upon selecting MAG with CNM) - Vertical Narrow Search (The one with the brackets). Note: The icon representing the seeker is for development only and will not be present in the release version. This is a work in progress (WiP) https://www.facebook.com/RazbamSims/videos/1056379681407524
  16. It is an annoying but random bug. I experienced it twice but cannot find the problem. The only solution is to unlock the radar so it fully reverts to SCAN mode. In this bug apparently the radar has not lost the lock but it is sending a "lock lost" signal but the radar still has the lock and it gets confused as hell.
  17. Air refueling zones. Tankers can be expected to be here. Up to three zones can be defined in the ME. The mission builder must place the tankers. These zones are informational only. NSEQ navigation towards the target. The violet line is the ingress route and the yellow the egress. The point where both lines join is where the target is located. This mission also includes air refueling zones.
  18. AV-8B NA development update: Overlay 1 is now enabled. Flight plan route is now visible. Next step is NSEQ (non-sequential) routing.
  19. Thanks for your tests. The "percentage" indicates how close you are to the center of the LAR. 100 means you are in the center. 01 means you are in the borders. Regarding accuracy: The real weapon has a nominal CEP of 13 meters and a realized one of around 7 meters. A T-90 is 9.63 meters long. In your tests, the bombs are hitting inside the real weapon's nominal and realized CEP. Remember that the bomb is flying and subject to DCS physics engine, even when there are no wind parameters at all. It will try to hit the center of the target spot but sometimes it cannot. Regarding damage: In real life all your targets would have been destroyed. Unfortunately DCS blast damage against tanks is basically nil, you need to hit it head on for it to be considered destroyed. In conclusion, by real world parameters you are hitting the target dead on. The destruction, or lack of, has more to do with how DCS simulates blast damage.
  20. Sorry folks, this bug fix will not be released yet because the fix created a new bug. It will take some time to get it right but not before the next update.
  21. Hello Folks! Although a bit late, this problem has been solved and is currently undergoing testing.
  22. We are aware of the problem. That is why we are enabling CAS page editing. See this post: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=4183949&postcount=1
  23. Folks, check the first post to see the ATHS/CAS and F10 Map updates that are now being tested.
  24. You are correct. With two or more selected targetpoints, all steering cues on the HUD are towards the centroid, not the targets. The EHSD shows centroid and selected targets, but the distance is so small that they usually show as a single point.
  25. Hello folks, Now you can engage up to 10 targetpoints with the JDAMs. Number of targets is limited by bomb count on the aircraft.
