Thank you sir!!!!

Has anyone found a profile for the F18 for use with the TM Cougar? I've looked all over today. Thanks for any info!

Getting ready to buy a new computer and get back into this sim, will be a windows 11. I have my trusty Cougar ready to go, just hope I can get it working, so glad I found this thread.
-
Yes, good controllers working correctly (I found out the hard way my pot on the Cougar throttle was working poorly and needed to be replaced), and a LOT of practice is all you need. Took me about a month of working on it almost daily. Many dead tankers (some accidentally, most on purpose) will attest!

Thank you!! Got it working now.

I've been knocking myself over the head trying to get AC to taxi when I want them to and still be visible at mission start. Anyone have any ideas, this is for a SP mission?
-
Oh wow, I'd be in for a throttle set for sure!

Ok, after some messing around I got it. I had to add a "-" to the "1" in the second line. -
How to set up toggle switches (a tutorial)
Zeke replied to Spy Guy's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Well, I've read through this thread and have and understanding on how to edit the default Lua as per the post on Page 15 at the top. I've run into a little problem and was wondering what I'm missing. I have an 'On/Off/On switch that I'm trying to use for the 'Position Flash, Off, Steady' switch in the A10c. Here is the code I used: {down = 3008, value_down = 1, up = 3008, value_up = 0, cockpit_device_id = 49, name = _('ALT Position Flash'), category = _('Lighting Panel')}, {down = 3008, value_down = 1, up = 3008, value_up = 0, cockpit_device_id = 49, name = _('ALT Steady'), category = _('Lighting Panel')}, The first line works great, the switch moves just like I want. The second command doesn't show up inside the A10 options at all. Any help would be appreciated, as I have a Master Arm, Gun/Pac, Laser Arm, and Autopilot switches to program, I need to learn this stuff. -
Yes, after comparing the old briefs and the new ones, it looks like it is in fact updated. Thanks ED.

Anyone know if the campaign was updated in the patch today?
-
The external stuff is one of the things that makes this campaign so special. All the docs are in your game folders too.
-
Absolutely NO Air Force Pilot would go on a mission without READING the brief. LOL
-
That's why I'm waiting for the update, would rather fly the fixed missions.
-
Oh well, bummer....back to the Bear Trap campaign till next Friday. Thanks for the heads up Wags!
-
Buznee, Wags answered that in this thread: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=158809 Seems it could happen.

Reshade 2.0 SweetFX / FlyMaker Preset - DCS 1.5 Beta

YoYo, those are some really nice screenshots. I would be nice to have your preset settings from the Mediator folder like Bull posted. It would make a great starting point for us. -
Reshade 2.0 SweetFX / FlyMaker Preset - DCS 1.5 Beta

Unfortunately the paid campaigns will not start when SweetFX or Mediator is enabled. With SweetFX mod I could just uninstall it with JSME. How do you unenable the Mediator settings so it is not installed? Or has someone figured out how to get the paid campaigns to work with this on? -
Something else I noticed while practicing landings for MSN 04. There are no runway lights on 21R. May want to change the brief to show 21L unless I'm missing something.
-
Don't know if anyone has mentioned this yet, but the PUSH time on the maps do not match the PUSH time in the brief and lineup card. At least with missions 3 and 4.
-
Wags, Would you say it would be best to wait and fly more missions till the update arrives?
-
I'm going over the brief for MSN 05 today, I hope to have a run at it tonight. Set up a practice mission at night to practice landing at Nellis in the dark. Haven't done that before so I would hate to have that mess up a good mission. I really hope you guys can work something out, this has been one of my best experiences in DCS. I don't know how to explain it better but the whole map comes to life with these missions and the briefs. Also looking forward to reading some of your books, they're on my wish list on amazon.

Steve, Used to happen to me all the freaking time. The guys in my VFS and I figured that firing a 120 beyond 10 miles was a little bit useless, as we noticed that the AI usually out maneuvered the missile. The IR missiles are a bitch but you can see them coming. That's also another good reason to have a human wingman, he can see that stuff for each other. What I do is fire off my 120 inside 10 then immediately release flare, go idle and do a barrel roll low, then crank a bit one way or the other. This way I can keep my lock and still have visual on the target. Works pretty well. The AI Russian AC fire their missiles at long range so they are pretty easy to maneuver against. We just always figure there's a heater coming even if we don't see one. Thanks for the briefs, hope you're going to do more for DCS!!

With the F15 NTTR campaign this map takes on a whole different feel, you get the feeling what it's there for and what the training ground is all about.
