many thx for your brief quote, exactly what I expected... I will move on with non-VR mode and enjoy DCS and when the right time comes, I'll purchase an all new VR ready system - period. .

May I just tie in here with the Hardware specs in my signature... Want to give DCS VR a try , but Im expecting insufficient FPS Performance with my GTX960 although its overclocked an comes close to a vanilla 970... Im running NTTR and Caucasus just fine on High Res Settings (with some downgraded Settings on shadow, AA, MSAA and other Settings), but I guess once a Rift is connected my System goes Ko. Anyone here with DCS VR experience who tried running a GTX960 ? edit: the Oculus compatibility check result said my CPU and GPU are fine , but my USB Host Controllers are not compatible ... ( I have Intel 6 and Reneas USB Ports)

FPS Einbrüche / LAG und Stutters sind leider die Achilles Ferse von DCS.. Ich liebe diese Sim und sie wird von Erweiterung zu Erweiterung grossartiger, aber das werden Sie wohl nie ganz ausbügeln...wenn ich mir ansehe, was für User mit High End Rechnern und GPUs hier über (teils) unspielbare / mindere game Performance sprechen, dann ist es halt schon bedenklich... meine Hoffnung liegt einmal mehr auf 2.5, die sich über die zeit als eine stabileres laufende DCS Sim - platform etabliert...

Im Multiplayer dürften diese Ruckler sehr stark von anderen Usern/Einheiten bzw deren Pings zu tun haben...denke ich zumindest.. Wenn ich am 99th Server mutterseelenallein auf der Ramp spawne, gibt's hohe FPS und alles super flüssig, wenn dann einige User nen Takeoff machen oder daneben spawnen, dann geht's teils los mit Rucklern...interessanterweise aber nur vereinzelt... bei anderen Usern passiert gar nix und die Sache läuft weiter wie geschmiert... .

Wenn ich mich nicht irre, dann habe ich dich gestern am Server der 99th auf NTTR gesehen, ich habe ähnliche, aber geringere Hardware Komponenten wie du bei selben 16GB RAM , ich bekomme aber auf Nellis und selbst über Vegas durchschnittlich immer 45 bis 50 fps... über der leeren Wüste sind es nicht selten 80fps und mehr... mir ist schleiferhaft warum ich etwas bessere Fps als du erhalte..., ist DCS nach wie vor auf Nvidia Karten optimiert oder ist das mittlerweile vom Tisch ? .

Folks , has the RWR tone not beeping issue been fixed ? Recently got blown out of the sky by a Mig21 on the cold war Server and there was nothing to hear, not even a optical indication on RWR ..

For all you Central Europe/Central Eastern Europe based Hornet lovers out there: There is an upcoming airshow in Slovakia (SIAF 2017 - Air Base Sliac 26. to 27. August 2017) with a Two ship Spanish EF-18 Hornets in the Flying Display !! + 1 I have exactly the same issue on NTTR map as described above ...not every time , but every 3rd to 4th flight on 2.1 Interestingly, the overall Performance of NTTR is surprisingly good online and offline, so it's playable on my end ( except the long loading times) and this out of nowhere 40sec freeze from time to time... Tips to Fix this are highly welcomed :) .

and on top, it's likely that every update and or DSC clean / repair will install them again... so uninstalling them sounds useless
