  1. OK. Try reading pages 48, 49 & 50 of the SU25T Flight Manual PDF. It covers all aspects of the SU25T Advanced Flight Model. Study that and see how & what best applies to what your experiencing.
  2. Specific testing with equal loads and fuel in both seasons is needed to ensure this is not a subjective assessment. Maybe one of the testers already knows whether flight performance variation is modelled in different temperatures?
  3. In the 104th I launched a Kh58 at an active target that self destructed. All looked good, target locked and LA. As soon as I fired the missile traveled for a second or two before detonating right in front of me. A second launch attempt with a KH25MPU shortly after did the same thing. Is this a usual thing, a server set random failure, targeting issue? I had already used my first Kh58 to take out another system so I believe all was set correctly. Using the Elint really is pretty simple though isn't it? Just wonder if this is a usual thing or something was plain wrong about what I was doing? I.E. is there a problem that would cause a missile to self destruct post launch?
  4. Looks great. Checked pricing. Currently on their website at 450 Euros which is $575.00 AU +shipping
  5. I....just....have....to....get one! I have a basic feedback system in my chair but the TFS3 looks awesome!
  6. Yes. 300 milliseconds. 0.3 seconds. A very long time at 500km/h. :-) While we are on the topic, isn't using LAN net setting when you don't have a connection that is capable of the data rate pushing the connection too hard? Its telling DCS that it can send and receive data at a rate that exceeds the actual connection capabilities. Would this not then lead to more lost packets? I'm certainly no network engineer and but sending data that may get thrown away seems inefficient and may actually slow the connection down a bit? There have been other threads about this exact issue in the past I know but would be interested in how this may now be handled with the updated net code. Is using LAN the most efficient network setting for poorer connections?
  7. I just had wine go down the wrong way when I saw the thread. 1.2.4 questions already? Seriously?
  8. That one got me as well in an SU25T when I was mucking around with the ground crew options. I forgot to turn it off before starting taxi and got the message. I did stop and shut down engines and request ground power off but it didn't make a difference. They could not comply with a request to turn off after that. It seems once you move from start point they are just not going to be happy not matter what you do.
  9. Using the ModelViewer is awesome! The batch file works a treat. Cheers!
  10. Interesting isssue. I am in Australia too (NSW Central Coast) and I have been flying on 104th's server with 1.2.3 with a ping of around 250 give or take depending on time of day and have not had a single connection issue. I think they kick at 300+. There was a little lag once when another player spawned in a few parking spaces away and appeared to merge into the tarmac but it soon settled down and flight operations of other aircraft at the airfield appeared fine and no other issues popped up. Certainly have not had any bans or kicks or connections interrupted as reported by Spasticatedtoad. I have added a connection profile to my network file that seems to be working fine and I based it on speedtests to US west coast at about 8Mbit down 600k up (I live just over a 100mtrs from the local exchange). Maybe it is local net traffic issues?
  11. Very nice!! Thank you. Grabbing torrent now!!
  12. They could be the ultimate nuclear free weapon of mass destruction of the future! Just send up a space craft to the asteroid belt for "mining purposes" and send a few nice BIG rocks hurtling at earth at which ever troublesome nation is causing international difficulties. Too small to track and hit without warning! "Hey what a convenient freak of nature that that city got taken out by a meteor air burst". I note that in the news not long ago a company announced plans to mine asteroids. Hmmm. Let the conspiracy theories begin.
  13. "Its a great day for flying!"
  14. Ah so many glasses are half empty in this thread. I for one welcome our DCS overlords to release the 1.2.3 patch if and when they see fit!
  15. So much speculation. Its like watching the stock market.
  16. See Wags' last post in the 1.2.3 Change Log thread. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=99109
  17. Fingers crossed all goes well this weekend!!
  18. Well finally resolved. Nothing but a complete uninstall and clean install was able to fix it. A download of all the latest version installers, World and all modules was used in the install. Thanks for the response Blarney but no there is no overclocking going on here and PC is stable as a rock in all other areas. I knew it would be a corruption and hoped that a module reinstall (one would think) would fix it but no. All good now but a rather drastic method was required and a bit of a hassle (i.e. PITA) to resolve.
  19. P51 crashes on any attempt to run any kind of mission. Log and crash log attached. I have all DCS modules and other aircraft load and fly fine. It is only the P51 that crashes at approx 75% mark. Reading the log it looks like the cockpit area has an issue during load? I have used the Repair option for DCS which appeared to work ok at the time but did not resolve the issue and I have downloaded the current torrent version of P51 files and installed again and then updated DCS. Still no fix. Another update check and repair after all this and still crashing. Again, other modules all run very nicely, just an issue with trying to hop in a P51. And yes, it has been running just fine in the past but I hadn't flown it for a while and ran into this issue. Its got me stumped. Hope someone spots the issue. Cheers, Hawk 5 System: Win 7 64 Home, CPU 9650 dual core at 3G, Nvidia 8800 (latest drivers), 8Gb mem. DCS-20130111-072031.txt dcs.txt
  20. Sure looks that way. I agree with the responses above. The current pricing is very reasonable when you consider the amount of work involved.
  21. I had to turn off FF to enable trim. I thought that was an old "issue" or non issue depending on how you looked at it. I use the stick FF signal to rumble my seat for stall shake and the like but having it on kills trim! Its one or the other and the seat shaking is great for immersion but trim really helps the flying. Just can't have both :-(
  22. With a map of East Timor it would really be a trip down memory lane huh?
  23. Looks great and had to grab it but one small issue. The Kangaroos in RAAF roundels always fly forwards. The wing and right side in the pics are pointing the wrong way!
  24. Found this advertised at Sim HQ homepage. http://downundertigermeet.weebly.com/index.html
