  1. It is installed. At least, when trying to install it, I get a message telling me that I already have a newer version installed... The software is also added to trusted applications in my antivirus. Still no luck unfortunately...
  2. I have yes. I'll have to check if it might be blocking something...
  3. They might do that, but I do not think that it is the cause. You see I am able to connect to other DCS Simple Radio Servers without any problems. It is just my own server I'm unable to connect to...
  4. Hi, I just tried to run a server on a spare laptop I have but I'm unable to connect to it... I've opened port 5010 and 5002 both UDP and TCP in my Cisco E2500 router. I'm then just running the SR-Server.exe file. On the client side I've tried to connect to my IP address at home both with and without :5002 The server is at a laptop at home, while I've tried to connect from a computer at work. Am I doing something wrong since it's not working?

  6. Thank you! BRA was not was I though it was :)
  7. Hi, In multiplayer missions the BRA (Bullseye if I've understood this correctly?) is not always know. Still the AWACS tends to refer to it when informing about hostile threats... I understand flanking, hot and cold, but what does this message mean to me? And how do I fly to intercept the contact? Pontiac 11, Overlord, BRA 136 for 160 at 23000 hot Since BRA us unknown, should I just fly at heading 136 for 160 NM at 23000 ft? If I'm correct, why is BRA mentioned at all? And what about this one: Pontiac 11, Overlord, pop-up group 157 for 22 at 1000 hot Should I then turn to 157 deg and expect to find the target 22 NM ahead at 1000 ft?
  8. I see. Thank you. 300 IAS is rather fast I think..? What is one circle merges?
  9. Yes, I understand. Thank you. I was just hoping there was some way to identify the best speed at any given moment.
  10. Hi, In a dogfight, what is the best indicated airspeed to fly at to achive the best turn rate (fastest turn) but still have energy left on the other side? Thank you
  11. Ah! Thank you very much! I found it :)
  12. Hi, I can't seem to be able to release chaff and flares. What is the chaff/flare release button called in DCS?
  13. I can appreciate that :)
  14. I see! Thank you. I'm just used to the A-10 where I can fill a single instrument in the entire screen :)
  15. Hi, Using TrackIR in the F-5 I'm not able to move my head close enough to the instrument panel to read the instruments... Is this normal or have I done something wrong? I am able to move my head back and forth, but not very far...
  16. Thank you all for assistance! Yes I use TrackIR. Pressing numpad Enter solved the zoom problem :)
  17. Hi, The HUD in the SU-27 is suddenly very small - I can barely read it. I also feel that the view is very wide. There has been some time since I last flew the Su-27 but I'm fairly sure it was not like this the last time... I have recently been doing lots of changes in the Nvidia settings. Is there anything there I should look at? Thank you
  18. Thank you impalor for the steps. I see an issue with this though. As far as I can see it I have to format the drive T every time I start the computer from now on is that correct? It seems to a bit of a hassle if this do not work by itself. Also - If I do not start the ram.cmd file the changes made in Environmental Variable could be somewhat bad? The system will then look for a drive that is not there... It does not appear to be a permanent and automatic change done to the system. I have to apply it every single time I start the laptop... Is that correct?
  19. I have laptop without SSD, but thanks for the tip anyway! I must admit that I do not undersand anything of this except that you had stutter a while ago... Do you have a tutorial that can explain perhaps?
  20. I've just upgraded to 16GB RAM and can't really see any difference. The stuttering is still there. I also turned off Threaded Optimization - No difference there either...
  21. And I thank you very much for your input as well AstroEma. I'll keep that in mind when I try again in a couple of days. I guess my Nvidia GeForce 660M is not the best either... Unfortunately it is not possible to update the graphics card on my laptop...
  22. Okey Fish, I ordered some new RAM on friday. Hopefully I'll be able to test this in a few days :)
  23. Yes, absolutely. I pay close attention to such details so that different test have the same conditions. If not it can be difficult to see what effect the changes made have resulted in. That is why I always run the first A-10C single mission - I think it is called something like Spring in Georgia - Easy - when doing these performance tests.
  24. I've been testing a bit the last couple of days, unfortunately without much progress... I've chosen 512 only and turned off Force feedback. As far as I can see not much improvement there. Maybe a little with 512 only. In nVidia settings I changed Maximum pre rendered frames from 1 to 4. After starting DCS I was impressed. I could not see any lag whatsoever. I use TrackIR and it was just amazing to see how well everything was playing. However - after a break and restart of the computer I returned the next day to find that the stuttering was back... So that was a short time in heaven. Still it gave me hope that this can be fixed somehow... Do you have any other suggestions that I could try in the Nvidia settings perhaps? Thank you for all help so far.
  25. These are my ingame settings. Sorry for the large pictures! I do not know how to resize them just yet in Windows 10... I've lowered everything in the Nvidia control panel to off or "best performance" but do not see any difference really... I feel that the stuttering is happening when the sim is loading something, for example just before an exploition of a tank etc.
