  1. You are correct. I opened the joystick and cleaned the potentiometer. After the procedure the throttle appears to be working again :) Thank you
  2. When playing a tacview file the playback lags about every second. Have I done something wrong...? I run version 1.7.0.
  3. Hi, I have this Logitech Extreme 3D Pro joystick that won't stay at the throttle setting I set. In flight the problem is not all that big except when the throttle is set close to afterburner (since then the afterburner may kick in and out all the time), but when on idle this is a major issue since the engine is given power all the time... In this picture you can see the approximate throttle position and the area where it will wander inside when at idle... Sometimes it is stationary for a few secs, other times it moves fast several times a sec. I've tried the following: Use a different computer Disconnect and connect the joystick USB Calibrating using devices settings in Windows 10 Reinstalled the Extreme 3D Pro joystick driver No attempt seems to fix the problem, so I was wondering if you had any suggestions?
  4. Thank you Headwarp for the quick reply. Yes, it is when I want to select an aircraft to fly and for a long time after that as well. I have just once waited long enough to be able to fly and then everything was running fairly ok. All other times I've just Ctrl-Alt-Deleted myself out of DCS thinking everything was stalled... But I understand this is a common bug and then hopefully it will be fixed a beautiful day...
  5. Hi, I have basically everything running at max settings. GPU is a GTX 1070. In single player I get very nice performance, the GPU is running at around 99% and the CPU around 50%. FPS is around 60. In multiplayer however, it appears as if the GPU is not used at all, and never at max performance. Often, I see 0% usage. 80 at the most. CPU around 20%. FPS is now 0-20... Going back to single player and the GPU usage is back up and FPS around 60 again... I was hoping someone could help me solve this problem...
  6. I just tested with internet disabled and there was still the same stutter. I was not able to see any changes in the HDD when the stutter occurs...
  7. MSI Afterburner do record a number of parameters and neither show any abnormality when this happens. As far as I can see hdd and network is not recorded though, so I'll check that as well. Thank you
  8. Hi, I have a GeForce GTX 1070 card that from time to time drops its usage percentage. This results in stutter and it happens regardless of the DCS settings - even when everything is a minimum. The sim is running smoothly at 60-100 fps between these stutters. I've experimented a lot with the nVidia settings as to identify if there is a single setting that produces these drops in GPU usage, but I cannot find anything. Please see a MSI Afterburner screenshot that will identify the GPU usage drops and moment of stutter. If you have suggestions to what nVidia settings to try, I'd be happy to hear from you!
  9. I have just one more question. I was considering a further upgrade to the GTX 1070 card instead of the 1060. Would that be too much for my computer do you think or would it be ok? When saying "too much" I'm thinking that perhaps the GTX 1070 would not be able to perform towards its peak performance due to my CPU for example. What do you think? Would it be an even better upgrade than the GTX 1060 or am I just wasting my money doing so...?
  10. Thank you. So basically, I can conclude that there will be a performance boost/upgrade to buy the mentioned GTX 1060 card? At least until I've saved enough for a new computer :)
  11. I have a Samsung S24B300H 1920 x 1080 Monitor. I believe the refresh rate is 60Hz? Yes, I have a SSD HDD in this system. I am not familiar at all on how to overclock and I basically only have an opinion (from my childhood days) that doing so can do more harm than good...? With the upgrade I was planning on achieve a better performance and/or being able to use a bit higher quality setting in DCS. Especially now that DCS 2.5 is getting closer to release. The recommended system requirements as far as I can see is: OS 64-bit Windows 7/8/10 DirectX11 CPU: Core i5+ RAM: 16GB Hard disk space: 30 GB Video: NVIDIA GeForce GTX780 / ATI R9 290 DirectX11 or better. Looking at these stats I see that my computer meets all those demands except the video card. Although I do suspect that the suggested Core i5+ is better than my Core i7, I was thinking that it perhaps was not too bad? I do have 16 GB of RAM, but the current graphics card is not the best. Upgrading to a GTX 1060 would put my computer closer to, or above, the recommended system requirements. Or am I wrong? At least when I look at http://www.videocardbenchmark.net the GTX 1060 appear to be better than the suggested GTX780? Upgrading to a GTX 1070 or even better is pricey. I also suspect that my CPU then would be a bottleneck so that the GTX1070 would not be used at its peak performance anyway...? Perhaps the GTX 1060 would lift my computers performance at an affordable price?
  12. Hi, I have a desktop computer that is about 5-6 years old with these specs: ASUS P9X79 Intel Core i7-3820 Processor Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600MHz 16GB CL9 Corsair HX 850W PSU HIS Radeon HD 7950 3GB I was planning on upgrading this desktop a bit, but the store where I bought the computer say that there is not very much to do. They only suggested buying a new graphics card; the GeForce GTX 1060. In relation to DCS - would you recommend me buying the GeForce GTX 1060 or is it not advisable? Will it have any noticeable effect or will one of the other parts just be a bottleneck? Is it possible to upgrade the CPU as well or is it correct what the store said, that this is not possible?
  13. Ok, thank you! I'll check the settings however I cannot recall that the same problem is present in other modules...
  14. Hi. I use TrackIR and in the Viggen I find myself basically inside the HUD when moving my head forward a bit. My intention is to look closer at an instrument, but I go way too much forward and end up basically inside the HUD. Is this a common problem? How can I fix this?
  15. Thank you for the quick reply QuiGon :)
  16. Hi, I've been away from some time and was wondering what the current state of the Viggen is? I assume the BK-90 is still not working as intended, but are there any other multiplayer issues?
  17. Thank you both. I uninstalled and reinstalled DCS and it starts now. Maybe there was a bad install or something? It took over 8 hours to download and install the 2nd time though (!).
  18. Hi, I just reformatted my hard disk and reinstalled Windows 10 again the other day. Today I downloaded DCS 1.5.7 release version however it will not start. In task manager it immediately goes into a "non-responding" mode. Any ideas what might be wrong?
  19. I see. Thank you. Just crossing my fingers ED will fix the replay function then. It is broken when flying the Viggen at least...
  20. What happens if the server does not authorize data export? Lots of servers deny this...
  21. Thank you for the quick reply guys! Unfortunately those two bugs are somewhat gamebreaking for me, so I'm still grounded I guess...
  22. Hi, I've been away from the Viggen for some time but consider returning. I was wondering if these bugs had been fixed: 1 - Does the BK90 work in multiplayer when I'm not the host? 2 - Does replay work now? Previously the aircraft usually just taxied out of the taxiway or runway when I tried to play a replay. Bonus question: Any new bugs introduced recently? Thank you :)
  23. I do not understand what you mean here..?
  24. Takk RagnarDa, It worked. There is no possibility to just delete one waypoint though? In the mentioned case I entered my flight plan before I realized there already was a flight plan stored. Using Rensa would mean I had to start all over again, correct?
