  1. Nice. A word of caution though. Be careful when you buy rotary switches. Many of the cheap ones you find on e.g. Ebay have 30 degree index angle whereas you need 45 degree for the Steer PT and Page knobs on the AAP. I found these on Mouse http://dk.mouser.com/Search/ProductDetail.aspx?R=A12515RNZQvirtualkey61170000virtualkey611-A12515RNZQ A little more expensive but at least they will line up with your engraving :smilewink: You may be able to find some cheaper or alternatively change the engraving. Cheers Hans
  2. And one more intercom panel; http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/intercom-panel-assy-200111067-10-for-simulator-use-only/262000256543?hlpht=true&ops=true&viphx=1&_trksid=p2050601.c100085.m2372&_trkparms=ao%3D1%26asc%3D32710%26meid%3D0bc59bc678e84e50b1f1352139c6a41e%26pid%3D100085%26clkid%3D8195032656149621788&_qi=RTM2052809

  6. Hi John, How soon do you need it? I got a little luck and found one which is inbound but due to shipping time it may take 4-5 weeks to arrive :-( Cheers Hans
  7. Very nice Sir. Looking forward for more pictures  Cheers Hans
  8. We did a night mission with human JTAC/FAC(A) not too long ago and unless my memory fails me the range limit seem to be the same app. 8nm limitation the laser have. Cheers Hans
  9. That's actually very good advice. When making my CDU lookalike I did in metric but after reading I realized that I*should used inches instead. It was designed in inches thus trying to reverse engineer it I should have used inches as well. It would have made for closer accuracy :smilewink: Thanks for the advice a Jcook  cheers Hans Oh and Lars rep inbound :-)
  10. :megalol: Now that very nice movie reference  Thanks a lot for sharing Mike. I would be interested to see the AR from the inside. I didn't really understand how they technically do the see through thing but it did look there was at least an AN/ARC-164 digital version in the pit. Might be just as Mr. Burns suggested that the imagery is cut off when looking down. On this datasheet (https://www.link.com/media/datasheets/Link_AHMD_2011.pdf) page 2 it looks like the projection in the F-16 simulator is on glass. Does look really neat but I guess a bit out of my price range  For now I think I will just keep to my pit build. I may be able to write stuff without seeing what I write. But I struggle a bit with read the text of a CAS brief without seeing the letters. It's going to be interested to see what the future brings for home cockpit builders  Cheers Hans
  11. Very nice Sir. looking good  Cheers Hans
  12. Fairly certain P*Funk means that you always drop them as multiple never as single, e.g. ripple 2, 75ft spacing. If you see the setting in the Battle Book all the settings are always 2 or 6. Battle Book: http://www.476vfightergroup.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=211 Cheers Hans
  13. Excellent news Ian. You really should get a donation button somewhere :-) Cheers Hans
  14. Very nice indeed Warhog. I especially like the "its not especially difficult to make yourself". That must be the understatement of the day :smilewink: Thanks a lot for sharing how you have done it. "you must spread some reputation" Cheers Hans
  15. Dear Mark, So sorry for your loss. Can't imagine how it's been like but my deepest condolences ;-( With regard to the pit I suggest try and contact Flim, http://forums.eagle.ru/member.php?u=58375 IMHO he was one of the guys behind SC Simulation All the best Hans
  16. I am retty sure they write it down; And they have to make read back of 4, 6, 8 plus restrictions. Cheers Hans
  17. Welcome Frodo, As agrasyuk said I also believe that LynxDK is about the only one currently having plans for making a UFC, and I sincerely consider buying one of them as soon as he has a price on it; http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2412625&postcount=91 With regard to backlighting techniques check out this thread by Warhog; http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=138740 He is one of the top dogs in panel building  Cheers Hans
  18. Then it could be the volume settings on the radios. I have mine hooked up against some rotary incremental encoders and if I vary the volume slightly it goes to min and I have to turn it up again. Cheers hans
