  1. As an additional note, I found in later testing that some of the reloaded mavs, even if you don't trigger the uncage bug, will occasionally stop locking onto the lasers, effectively disabling the pylon they loaded onto. Not sure what causes it, but it seemed like it might be related to the jtac logic. maybe not though.
  2. The bug with the LMAVs where you cannot uncage them exists for cases where Unlimited Ammo is turned on. To replicate, start aircraft on ground with empty stores. Have ground crew load laser mavs. Fly off and fire all laser mavs BEFORE the Unlimited Ammo reloading sequence triggers. If all mavs have been fired before reload occurs, you will be unable to uncage the new mavs. New mavs may also need to have their laser codes set again with UFC, but I didn't test that extensively. Note that if reload sequence begins while at least one of your correctly functioning mavs is still on the rails, the Uncage issue will not manifest. Once the Uncage bug has manifested, it CAN be corrected by landing and having the ground crew rearm with new missiles. In my testing I landed, did full shutdown, rearmed with empty pylons, then rearmed again with new mavs, and finally restarted the aircraft. Was subsequently able to deploy mavs until I again exhausted them before the unlimited ammo reload sequence began. I have a track file but cannot upload it due to it's being over the 5MB limit. Will generate a new track and upload. From my uneducated perspective, it appears that the reload logic fix that was applied with this morning's hotfix is separate from the unlimited ammo logic, and that the fix did not make it into the unlimited ammo logic. Thanks! PS TOTALLY LOVING THE HORNET!!!!! Maverick Unlimited Ammo Reload Bug 2.trk jtac test.miz
  3. I'd love to see an export of the meatball as well, though for a different reason. I'm slightly colorblind, and find it very difficult to distinguish the lights on 1080p unless I'm zoomed all the way in. If the meatball were exportable, or if the size of the lamps could be artificially increased, it would make it way easier to see them.
  4. If it's still not working, remember that once your pilot is dead in the logbook, they're dead. You'll have to do some lua editing to get them back to life. File is in ex. C:\Users\TraxusIV\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\MissionEditor\logbook.lua Find the line that says ["dead"] = true, and change it to false.
  5. I found that I can see contacts while still on the ground. My understanding of how it functions may be wrong, but I thought it didn't transmit until after takeoff, to prevent cooking the crew chiefs.
  6. I'd love to know what it means. Wasn't able to find it in any manuals or the internet.
  7. Add my vote for a some more content in NW Nevada. Lake Tahoe, Carson City, and especially Reno, Fernley, and Fallon. Also, don't forget the Tahoe Reno Industrial Park, home to the brand spankin new Tesla Gigafactory. Just begging for some ordnance, if you ask me. ;) Love tesla, but lots of lithium? Yes please!
  8. Is there a effect these changes by editing the individual controller settings file in the saved games folder? e.g. C:\Users\Traxus\Saved Games\DCS.openalpha\Config\Input\F-15C\joystick\Throttle - HOTAS Warthog{gobbledegook}.diff.lua I'd like to assign ILS navigation mode to the middle position of the boat switch, but don't want to have to keep making the edits every time there is an update. Thanks T
  9. Hey Flim, just picked up the 4 way piece from shapeways. Any chance you'll make the other parts available there as well?
  10. UFOs, Godzilla, etc, would be a fun April Fools Day gag. :D
  11. Can't wait to see the center console plans. Almost ready to start my build. :) Thanks so much for sharing this wonderful work with us, y2kiah. :)
  12. Any chance you'll offer a left handed version of the stock warthog grip? I would love to be able to use two warthogs at once, especially with Star Citizen solidly on the horizon. Also, I think I recall seeing a picture of the weapons officer seat in the F18E having a left, right and center stick?
  13. So, a while ago I came across some 5", 512x512 pixel lcd panels, which would be just about perfect for the TM Cougar MFDs.... Except that they were panels only. Anyone know how one would go about adding a controller for the screens, and if it would even be possible without industrial circuit board prototyping equipment? Thanks, T

    WTB Cougar

I'm looking to buy a Thrustmaster HOTAS Cougar. Stock is preferred, but with mods is ok. Must be in very good condition. Please send me a pm if you have one available. Thanks! :pilotfly:
  15. Any chance you can link to the new and old printers? I'm interested in learning about the tech and how it's developing.
  16. It's my fault. I found the thread with the search and didn't notice that it was 6 years old. :( But hey, old threads need loving too, right? Feel free to load on the negative rep.
  17. I like the improvement suggestions. I'd +1 you, but I'm in the red right now. :D What I'd really like to see though is an explanation of how rep works in the first place. For example, I've gotten three negative rep contributions, and two positive, but somehow that equals three red boxes and (according to my CP) -74 points. Additionally, some people have 8 green boxes and 36 rep power, while others have 7 green boxes and 512 rep power. It's not clear how it all works.
  18. But yeah, when I get the money, I'd be in for an F15C grip too. :)
  19. It would be nice to have a heavy duty A-10C/F-16C version with a heavily reinforced structure to allow for installation on force sensing bases such as this: http://www.realsimulator.com/html/fssb_r3_warthog.html If you were to look at doing some throttles, you might approach it by making a kit, with the grip, button covers, switches (prewired or not), and, most importantly, a chassis for installing the throttle arms and hall sensors, etc. I know a lot of us are already comfortable with DIY type projects, we just lack the tools to make proper enclosures and grips and stuff. I believe there are affordable usb controller kits out there like Arduino and stuff which would allow for an easy enough interface. There was also that fellow here on the forums who made the controller boards with 128 buttons and 8 axes on them, if I recall.
  20. HMDs tend to only work for a single eye, too, don't they? One of the advantages of the center HUD is that when you're slewed to a spot on the ground, the little square (in the A10C for example) looks like it's sitting on the ground, in full stereoscopic glory.
  21. I am a physicist, and I endorse this answer.
  22. lulz. I totally didn't notice that it was that old. It just came up in the search. Oops. :megalol:
  23. So, I looked through the Unofficial Roadmap thread, and I saw the F-15C listed in a few different locations. It wasn't clear to me what that indicated though. Will the F-15C make an appearance as a full blown, A-10C grade module, or will there only be a stand alone FC3 level module? If there will be a full module, will it be in addition to the stand alone FC3 module, or will the FC3 stand-alone be incrementally improved to bring it up to the fidelity of the A-10C module? Thanks!:pilotfly:

  24. In the Army, "Lawn Dart" refers to the Blackhawk, due to an early defect that caused them to occasionally pitch the nose down hard, leading to several fatal crashes..
  25. Wow, had no idea they were that cheap. Kinda scary.
