  1. I'm not seeing any accuracy problems - I just ran a quick test against a Mig-23 as a formal experiment and the only inaccuracy was from me. Pretty much ALL my seat time in the Mig has been 1v1 gunzo fights and I haven't noticed anything amiss. However .TRKs are broken. Here's Kuky's track... Makes no sense at all - after the merge he's shooting at thin air. So I recorded my own track from the Mig-23 test and had exactly the same issue; about halfway through the weirdness starts. Conclusion 1) Gun accuracy (for me) is fine. 2) TRKs are broken. busted.trk
  2. Same here, seems to be on AMD's side. This is from current 25.9.1 drivers I rolled back to earlier drivers and it's fixed.
  3. For the FC (and now FF) Mig-29 I've always un-mapped aileron trim because it was too coarse and impossible to centre; plus I could count on one hand the times I ever actually needed it compared to the times I accidentally bumped it. As for the pitch axis I do prefer the current gain. The Mig frequently needs gobs of pitch trim (just think of air-starts) so if there are plans to reduce/alter the sensitivity I hope it's optional.
  4. In this video both the master caution and the 550 KG fuel remaining warnings appear immediately upon going inverted. In our Fulcrum it takes over two minutes before it starts complaining.
  5. Currently if you fly without a pilot body you can still see the head in the mirror. This is both annoying and scary.
  6. The examples you cite, to me, are varieties of technical limitations/compromises. The gun thing, because it's so bafflingly counter-productive in combat, is I suspect incorrect modelled.
  7. This has nothing to do with this topic. This isn't about having difficulty locking a target - it's about the inability to lock a target up when the gun safety is off (held or toggled). It's self-evident. If anyone can explain why it is actually a good thing for the Mig-29 pilot, during guns combat, to have to constantly flip the safety catch back & forth just to re-lock a target, I'll listen.
  8. No, it very much is this topic. Regardless of whether we are using a toggle or held....this Mig-29 does not allow you to lock a target with the gun safety OFF. That's insane.
  9. So apparently the current method of having to hold the trigger safety open to obtain a computed gun pipper is wrong and will be changed to a toggle switch in a future patch. Okay...but there remains an issue. If you lose target lock while in 1st stage the pipper reverts to a funnel - but - you can't re-lock your target from there. You need to release 1st stage and go back to CC and then you can attempt to re-lock your target. Thus the Mig-29 pilot is expected to constantly flip/un-flip the gun safety every time he wants to re-lock a target during a gunzo encounter. This doesn't sound plausible. The FC3 Mig-29 does allow you to re-lock from the funnel which I suspect is the correct behaviour; certainly it makes more sense to me.
  10. And have it auto-fill the correct ATC frequencies. This is for the Mig-19 but you get the idea. Hopefully the kneeboard will eventually display radio channel, airfield name & frequency.

  11. Same here - pre-designate, CCIP, CCRP all falling short. The rockets work fine. Bombs miss.trk
  12. That's a shame. I'm having too much fun twirling those knobs.
  13. Thanks, Daca - you were right. I had three beacons set in the DTC but I didn't realise I had to select both the desired airfield and its corresponding beacon on the NAV panel - I figured that selecting an airfield would automatically receive PRMG guidance.
  14. For some reason the PRMG guidance dies during the mission. All that's left is the direct route to the selected airfield, with no guidance to the glide-slope. In this video I'm flying from Mozdok to Maykop. Maykop is selected in the NAV computer, both the RSBN and PRMG channels are set, and it's in RETURN mode. I'm receiving PRMG guidance as evidenced by the steering circle located high on the heading tape. You can see me cycle the airfields to show I'm receiving guidance from all three programmed airfields. Everything is good. At 19 minutes into the mission I lose PGRM guidance - the steering circle drops to the centre of the HUD. I cycle through and show all three airfields have lost guidance. The NAV computer doesn't show any change, I'm still in RETURN mode. I've run this mission a few times now with the same result, although the time the malfunction happens varies (15, 16, 19 minutes) PGRM dead test 2.trk Test Mig-29A Fulcrum RSBN-PRMG.miz
  15. Not sure if this is a bug or intended behaviour. If you select airfield two or three then hit the RETURN button the selected airfield flips to number one. After that you can select two or three and it'll 'stick'.
  16. Use RCtrl + RShift + Keypad * and / to move your head position back and forward
  17. This is a wish - In the mission editor would it be possible to give the localizer car a 200 meter 'crossbar' similar to the glideslope car? This thing... Something like this...
  18. We have 10%, 100%, Flash, OFF - a command to cycle them would be appreciated.
  19. nm....misread Carry on
  20. Include a page on the kneeboard that lists airfield radio channels/frequencies (inc. ADF channels from mission editor)
  21. Bump for this idea - Only need UP, DOWN, IN, OUT commands.
