I have DCS World installed that was downloaded from official ED site.
A couple of weeks ago I bought the Su-25A module at the Steam store. When I went to install it Steam tried to install it's own copy of DCS World. Not wanting to break anything I immediately stopped it, got a refund, and bought the module from the ED shop.
Can someone explain to me how Steam and DCS work together?
If I buy a module on Steam does that mean it will only work with the Steam version of DCS and vice versa? When I bought the Su-25 module I didn't receive any kind of key (Starforce or Steam) so how would I activate it in my existing DCS installation?
Thanks for any help understanding all this!
It was dead easy to trim your speed. Just like the brakes in a car, being able to lightly dab on the A-10's brake 'pedal' was perfect for landing or refuelling. Plus you never had to worry about forgetting about retracting them.
There used to be a very useful function whereby the speed-brake would extend while you held a button down and then retract itself on release. What happened to it? Was it not realistic?
For example in NAV mode all your controls could be dedicated to flight, nav systems, refuelling, landing. Switching into, say, BVR mode those same controls can now be mapped to things like radar and weapons.
I want use a single button to zoom in (RSHIFT *) and when I release the button to zoom out (RSHFT /). Is there a way to do this with TARGET GUI (I've been trying, honest) or am I going to have to do it with scripting?
I tried last night but I got an IC warning. I was also using Devrim's English cockpit so it might have been conflicting with that - I'll give it another go.
The Su-27/33's RWR is much clearer and easier to read than in the Su-25 variants which are very dim.
Any chance the Su-25A/T could get this minor graphics upgrade?
Re: Autopilot - When in LANDING mode and with auto-throttle engaged the aircraft won't settle on the glideslope and will oscillate in pitch.
With manual throttle control the oscillation is not as pronounced (as long as you're exact) but the AP is still prone to excessive pitch corrections.
This has happened a few times now. In multiplayer (in Su-25A or T) the first flight is fine. But after a crash or landing and grabbing a new plane the waypoint info is gone. As such there is no Enroute mode to select, just None, Return & Landing.
+100 for this in multiplayer (surprised it isn't there already).
Plot your own waypoints prior to jumping into the cockpit then during the flight you can take a peek at them on your kneeboard.
