In HUD and Boresight modes (Guns) - when the radar loses track due to the target moving outside the antenna limits the dish remains locked in its last position... ....or snaps back to the wrong place (Vertical Scan Mode). Boresight mode In this video I enter DGFT-Boresight mode, the target is locked automatically. I then drift left until the radar loses lock. Then I swing back and put the target on my nose but it will not auto-acquire. So I swing out further to the left and the target is re-acquired because my radar is stuck pointing way out to the right - the position it was in when it dropped the target. HUD mode Here the target is locked up and I drift left until lock is lost. Again, the antenna remains stuck over to the right (although still happily scanning Vertical Scan mode This one is slightly different. I lock the target and drift left to break the lock. The radar then seemingly snaps back to centre - but the scan zone is now offset to the left. Hopefully this thread is not a duplicate of this one (I suspect at heart it's the same issue) - by contrast I do not have any antenna controls mapped. F-16 ACM Radar no Recentre.trk

Update - it seems in all Dogfight Guns modes (haven't tried missiles) the radar gets stuck in the position it was pointing when it dropped lock on the target. See above post for Boresight mode. HUD mode - The target is locked up fine - I drift to the left and lose lock. The radar remains stuck pointing to the right. Vertical mode - Locks up fine - I drift away to break lock and then the radar tries to snap back but it actually settles on an offset scan zone to the left of centre. e: I threw up a bug report. -

In Boresight Guns mode the radar dish is not re-centring after losing lock and gets stuck to the side. In this video I enter DGFT-Boresight mode, the target is locked automatically. Sorry, I meant while in dogfight (guns) boresight mode - I've edited the title. After the radar loses lock it will no longer auto-acquire. The radar appears to be emitting because there's no NO RAD indication on the HUD. Vertical scan works fine. -
When using the gunzo dogfight-boresight mode the radar will auto-lock the first time, but if lock is lost the radar will no longer auto-acquire. I have to TMS up to 'wake it up' for the radar to auto-acquire. Is this normal behaviour?

I understand the CPG uses a rocker switch (instead of an axis) with 10 levels of brightness - the problem is the lowest setting is far too bright for night work. Pilot vs CPG -
reported earlier Cockpit view head is visible when turned.

Bump for this - still a thing on many modules. An option for a 'Headless Pilot Body', if not ideal, would at least temporarily solve the issue. -
The pilot's IHADDS has the full range of brightness which is great for night flying. George on the other hand is limited to 10 discrete levels of brightness, the lowest of which is too bright for the dark.

If you're flying an Apache near the Hotel Siesta on the Marianas the frame rate collapses. Strangely it only seems to really affect the Apache, but flying anything else also causes a disturbance in the force - watch the green line on the frame-time widget to see what I mean. If it was up to me I'd go for the Su-25, but I think the hurdles preventing a FFFrogfoot remain in place.

Hope so! (Sabre, too) And add some cockpit vibration. Coming back to the Korea jets after an intense spell in the Phantom it feels like....well there's almost no feel at all. Like flying around in syrup it's so smooth.

One unintended consequence of the dots... I set up a mission against a bunch of bare-metal Mig-15s. Without dots you can spot/track them reasonably well against the ground as long as they're in sun-light. But with dots they are effectively camouflaged until they are close enough for the rest of the airframe to peek from under the dot.

Even with them all on max (aural tone on the left-back - the missile warning tone lurking under the frame on the right) the RWR is still very low.

I'm using the one on the unit itself - even on full it seems too low.

RWR is very low volume, even with knob turned to max (same goes for Sidewinder growl). Maybe something like this in special options?

There is no longer a preset called 'Cloudy and Rainy 2' anymore so I tested with 'Overcast and Rain 2' and ' Light Rain 2' and saw no flashing.
