  1. The pilot's IHADDS has the full range of brightness which is great for night flying. George on the other hand is limited to 10 discrete levels of brightness, the lowest of which is too bright for the dark.
  2. If you're flying an Apache near the Hotel Siesta on the Marianas the frame rate collapses. Strangely it only seems to really affect the Apache, but flying anything else also causes a disturbance in the force - watch the green line on the frame-time widget to see what I mean. Marianas Siesta AH-64 FPS.miz
  3. If it was up to me I'd go for the Su-25, but I think the hurdles preventing a FFFrogfoot remain in place.
  4. Continuing the the spirit of FC aircraft being promoted to FF standards I think the original Warthog would be a popular addition.
  5. Is it Patchday today, or just Beyonday?
  6. Hope so! (Sabre, too) And add some cockpit vibration. Coming back to the Korea jets after an intense spell in the Phantom it feels like....well there's almost no feel at all. Like flying around in syrup it's so smooth.
  7. Sorry, I don't know - I don't use VR so I'd only be guessing.
  8. One unintended consequence of the dots... I set up a mission against a bunch of bare-metal Mig-15s. Without dots you can spot/track them reasonably well against the ground as long as they're in sun-light. But with dots they are effectively camouflaged until they are close enough for the rest of the airframe to peek from under the dot.
  9. Even with them all on max (aural tone on the left-back - the missile warning tone lurking under the frame on the right) the RWR is still very low.
  10. I'm using the one on the unit itself - even on full it seems too low.
  11. RWR is very low volume, even with knob turned to max (same goes for Sidewinder growl). Maybe something like this in special options?
  12. Yes, I'm seeing the same thing in your mission - it's so fast you almost miss it. Up-Down....then OK after that.
  13. This is during a training mission (the yellow brackets)? It's possibly on purpose to prevent the scripting being broken.
  14. There is no longer a preset called 'Cloudy and Rainy 2' anymore so I tested with 'Overcast and Rain 2' and ' Light Rain 2' and saw no flashing.
  15. Many other modules incorporate a 'neck' which allows us to look behind without having to perform an awkward combined turn & lean manoeuvre. e.g. compare F-4E to Harrier Could the Phantom (and others) could get this as an option?
  16. I can't get it to work. I'm using the QWE (CCW, CW and Select) but when, say, the alignment question pops up with three options the QWE commands do nothing - I have to do it with keyboard or mouse.
  17. I can navigate the Jester UI fine but when he asks me a specific question (alignment, min-altitude etc) I have to use the keyboard or mouse. Is there a way to answer him using just the UI controls?
  18. Yep, you're right - I have the Cockpit Display thingy at 512 every frame which was hiding the FPS drop. (was the smoke reduction un-necessary?) Anyway, here's what happens when you turn off the TV during the Vikhr's flight.
  19. Su-25T also no brake axis/axes
  20. The Vikhrs barely emit smoke now - which is a bit of a drastic fix, but it works fine - no more Vikhr FPS tanking.
  21. Out of all the DCS modules the Phantom is the only one where I constantly find my self re-centering my head-tracking or adjusting my RL seat position. Something just feels...off. I think this is the reason - the pilot's radar scope is wonky. Any chance it could be fixed/rotated to the vertical?
  22. Now fixed and much more useful, thank you!
  23. The German ones run on time!
