Not sure if the missions are included but you won't have to buy FC or FC2 just to get the missions that's for sure.

By advanced flight model I mean just the handling and wheel suspension etc like the Su25T, not fully intergrated cockpit controls ala A10C, P51, BS. I always thought this was a planned prospect for the F15C but after doing some research it only seems that the aircraft will be getting improved takeoff/landing handling tweeks so it doesn't feel scripted.

You have the button set as a switch. You got modifiers and switches so you'll want to add your button to the modifier section. You'll notice my joy button 6 in my screen which is my pinky switch.

Guys I bought a PS3 Eye yesterday and I want to use FaceTrackingNoIR until I can get my clip up and running. The problem is there's too much jitter and shaking when tracking, especially when my head is still. I've used quite a few headtracking.dll's but I don't think that would cause the issues, it's probably more to do with the curves and sensitivity etc. Could someone with a similar setup provide their .ini file so I can achieve smooth FaceTracking as seen in quite a number of test videos. Edit: One thing I've been wondering. Must I set Fake TrackIR or Freetrack as the protocol? After some more reasearch around these parts I found spikenet's settings, and he has Fake TrackIR set as the protocol, but when I set Fake TrackIR as the protocol tracking didn't work at all. Is that setting reserved for when you have an IR Clip and you don't need the seperate FreetrackIR program?

Have you got the crash/freezing problem with the SST software? I got the X52 non pro and can't set a profile up in SST due to the problems. All I really want it to have the slider function as the airbreak control. I'd recommend that you bypass setting up a profile with the crappy Saitek software and set it up inside DCS World instead. Makes it easier to jump right into and fly.

Just checked and it seems a random skin is selected when doing Instant Action and Generated Fast Missions. The only way to use your custom skin will be to select it in the payload section of the mission editor/planner as you know.

104th is the default skin I believe. So just rename your own skin files to the same name of the 104th skins in the A10C zip and replace.

I'm having quite a few issues joining servers aswell, especially 104th. Guess the problems known.

I was going to ask about this today but got carried away with other things. Simply saying the size in the patch announcement would do aswell. :smilewink:

The main things on my wishlist is graphical. A new/improved engine with better effects all round with good looking terrain on the level of Outerra is really needed, but it also has to be well optimized.

Whoa this is exactly what we needed. Hope we see some really awesome effects added but sadly they will always be held back by the current engine.

Do we have a correct estimate as to how much the Auto Updater downloads for this patch in one run? Edit: Just saw it's roughly 1GB from simast's top post. Guess it's downloading the full game at work for me. If every patch is 1GB then that is utter BS. I can't keep abusing work ADSL.

I'm thinking of perhaps framing it, or scanning it and fixing it in PS such as removing the indication text and printing it again.

Glad you two like it. I'll be sure to scan and upload the F-14 magazine, as well as an A10A article in another different aircraft magazine when I have time. Though I'm not sure which sub forums to put those in. Any ideas? IRIS F-14 subforum does come to mind...

Hey guys! Got a real treat for you P-51 fans out there! I found 2 old 'Airplane' magazines of my dads each with great articles and tons of illustrations of both the Mustang and the F-14 Tomcat. Since this is the DCS P-51 subforum I think it will be most fitting here, but if a mod would like to move it then please do. Some may find that there's little to no new info, but for others it will be a new look at the legendary Mustang! Evening guys. I'd just like to quickly know if there's a way to save MP missions once they've downloaded once so they don't have to download again when ever you want to join the server? It's kind of killing me bandwidth wise since I got capped net. Both Mission and Campaign folders are empty in the Temp and Saved Games folders, as they always are.

Well doing a quick check on Whatthefont comes up with these results. I just used the biggest text possible in the cockpit, but I'm sure if you use a more clean shot you could search it on the site.

Can you post a linky to that 'announcment', Ethereal? I always assumed the next aircraft would be the Mig or Su-27 since it's been asked for for quite a while now :huh:. In all honesty though I'd prefer a European multirole fighter more than a Russian or another American aircraft, such as the Tornado, Rafale, or Eurofigher.

I think the most wanted DCS installment is the Super Hornet with working carrier operations, aswell as the Mig 29 or Su-27. Agreed
