  1. Surprised this hasn't been fixed yet. But yes I also have the problem, and it's starting to be a real pain.
  2. My guess is just classified details/functions and a different menu system. Otherwise everything else is identical.
  3. Don't know if it relates but I had a problem when running a profile sometimes via SST that would cause my aicraft to bank right hard, and trimming wouldn't help. I don't run SST since it's a pile of crap but maybe deload and reload the profile if it doesn't constantly crash and lock up like my Profiler?
  4. While we on the topic of the X52. How the hell do you fix the crashing and stalling of the Profiler and SST? I load JackBauers profile and it works for 5 seconds, then I deactivate it and activate it again and it stops working and hangs. Shortening the key names doesn't seem to help. Done plenty clean re-installs. I know Saitek software is complete poop but this is really starting to piss me off. I want to use my slider and thumb mouse.
  5. And I bought it full price last week.
  6. Wierd... V1.2.0 was unplayable for me.
  7. F/A-18 Super Hornet with top notch carrier operations.
  8. Hmmmm that is weird that it never uses more than 2GB Doveman, I'm sure you running 64bit aswell so it won't be that. But anyway when the game is running and the stuttering starts my CPU usage is at about 28-40% while memory is at 87-97%, so in this case I'm sure it's more RAM that's needed. Oh and my main specs for anyone intrested: AMD Phenon II X4 955BE Gigabyte GTX560 (non ti) 4GB 1333Mhz RAM
  9. Yeah I guess all we can do is wait. ED know what's best for the company and the fans. I think the game looks fine honestly like everyone else, I just wish the game would run better, especially on multiplayer but I think partially that's cause I only have 4GB of RAM. Usually stuttering and pauses are caused by low RAM. :) V1.2.1 was a good leap forward performance wise, so I'm expecting good things.
  10. An Engine that isn't 10 years old (I believe the current engine is but with lots of tweaks?). The proper phrase I should have used is next gen but that term is more suited toward consoles and their future, which thank god will never see DCS or anything else from ED. But yeah new gen is pretty self explanatory. And thanks for the reply c0ff :)
  11. Will the ED team ever come to the point of been able to make a new gen engine in the next 3 years at least or is that not an option due to limited funds?
  12. Awesome post OP. You going to get die hard veterans with super computers disagreeing with you, but what can we do. We can't all afford $2000 machines. The game is in desperate need of optimization and if that is impossible to deliver then a new engine to get with the times.
  13. Are all the other FC2 aircraft such as the A10A, Su-27, Su-33 etc going to be intergrated into World aswell and fully usable online or just the F15C? Is that the reason why you need the original lock on?
  14. It's a problem with optimization so it will be back. They didn't spend all that time making the new shaders just to drop it I'm sure.
  15. Yeah the new water shaders etc is missing for me. Looks like the low quaility water setting. Was it removed for the performance hot fix?
  16. Woah can't wait! Is this perhaps not a 3rd Party module that's been under development in secret?
  17. Have the performance issues been fixed?
  18. I'm gonna go ahead and say that a lot of people get terrible performance in DCS World compared to FC2 and DCS standalones. Alot of the guys here are quick to say just get a new GFX card, when in actuality the game is badly optimized in certain areas. So I say go ahead and install World and the A10C module and see what frames you get. If you unhappy with your performance go ahead and download and install DCS A10C V1.1.1.1 (doesn't require world) and see if you get increased performance. DCS World is relatively new so I hope performance issues will be ironed out soon. Its terrible when even the recommended specs can't even run the game.
  19. Yeah the ol glue gun. I'm getting a non pro X52 soon so I'll keep an eye on the cable.
  20. Okay well I went and ordered the X52 from Amazon via International Shipping. It cost me an arm and a leg so I hope I won't be disappointed. :pilotfly:
  21. Thanks for the post. Besides the extra buttons is there any other major difference between the TM and Saitex control and stick quality wise etc? Or is a joystick just a joystick? Because I may have to get the TM if the X52 price is actually more than listed which could be possible. I just don't want to be dissapointed with the TM.
  22. Haha no worries. I was about to say you probably thinking of the Warthog. Otherwise thanks for the replies so far guys. I'll get the X52 if I can.
  23. The TM is actually like $40 on Amazon so $88 is quite high. I'll look into the international shipping options perhaps but otherwise I'm still undecided.
