  2. Thx for your response, sounds awesome! :) Do you think it would be worth it to petition BST/ED in the wishlist forums, to add a triggerfor this? Like, when I push the siren, trigger X gets used which you could use to spawn/embark units? I will try the new truck as soon as I find a server with the updated script. edit: sometimes assets explode after being deploying, does this have to do with damaged cargo?
  3. I want to give feedback a bit from a normal pilot/user perspective. First, thank you so much for this script, I can't even describe how much I love this script. Slingloading and building stuff with this is such a blast, that every server without some transport job now looks bleak to me. :) If my questions are naive or not possible due to engine limitations etc. please forgive me, I am not an active mission builder or admin. First, is it possible to add some kind of rearming truck/crate for assets in the field? edit: I know this is somewhat possible with SAMs but I think there is some kind of rearming vehicle (supply trucks?) for CA units with which you can rearm? Secondly, could there maybe be some kind of different version how the crate spawn / pickup works? My current problem is that you need to land (or atleast afaik) in the 'pickup' zone to spawn the crate for pickup. My idea would be to have for example, TOW, SAM's etc. in a row as 'models' and their crates in front of it. One you pick up the cargo crate, it respawns for the next pilot. It would somewhat compromise DCS lack of groundcrew bees who prepare stuff for the air assets.^^ (Maybe I am over complicating stuff, but I thought this might be a good idea) Third, could the 'cargo crates radio sub menu' maybe be put directly under the F10 sub menu, instead under 'CTLD commands'? As a frequently crashing/dying/suiciding pilot one of the biggest problems after a quick insertion is to navigate the radio menu with shaking hands, drop stuff, and fly off again. As a matter of fact this might be nice too for the troop load/unload command. I guess unloading of troops can't be done by the Mi-8 siren button? :D Again everything from user perspective, not mission builder, I am not sure if the stuff I am asking is more in the mission builders park. THANKS AGAIN FOR THIS AWESOME STUFF! <3 edit2: To ALL mission builders, PLEASE use this script to give Transport pilots some job! Just check it out, it's great fun! :)

I want to formally protest the 'aircraft explode'-trigger in OP Armageddon when you enter a not yet active A2G area. 15 secs is way too fast, before I even realised what was going on and started to turn back I could read my kill message in chat. I will accept cargo&slingload operations for helicopters as compensation, you shall have NOOBAIRLINES(!), coupons in return. Free Travel&Cargo delivery!

  8. Can we have back TGP anyway? Or could you reason why it was taken out? As I understand the 'realism!' argument doesn't hold up with other assets we still have. I am very fine with restricting PGM's but please please don't set the axe at tools that are good for coordination. Reality is, the A10C will just be left on the ground and we switch to Shark & frogfoot which still have its capabillitys left in tact. edit: And no, I will not stop whining about it. xD
  9. Any chance for testing out sling loading for trans helis? Would be awesome if trans helis could 'build' somesort of defense/assets or dare I even dream of SAR for downed pilots (and their lives!)? :D
  10. Hi, I searched but couldn't find a existing request. I would like it to be possible to define the 'audio output' via the DCS-sound settings. If I want to have sound in DCS via audio output A (headset) and other sound (youtube for example) via audio output B (boxes), currently I need to do the following: 1. Define my current 'default' audio output to A via realtek driver or windows sound settings. 2. Start DCS join flight or the MP server I want to fly on. 3. Switch audio output (see 1.) to audio output B. My idea would be to add a dropdown menu option in the sound settings where you can set your preferred audio output for DCS-sound. Yes yes, small hassle, lowest priority, but I think many people (even the devs^^) have to check this everytime they fly.
  11. Multiplayer all the way, it needs more love. While I understand most of the actual buyers never touch MP, it is what I do in DCS. Never had so much fun in DCS like in the Blueflag rounds 1-3. :)

  14. The time waiting parked hidden outside some city should be counted! :D Server crashed on restart, I guess we need to wait for an admin to wake up. :(
  15. I think it has to do a bit with community work also. A regular TS-Server-Fan-base just doesn't appear from nowhere, you cultivate it. :) See 104th or Blueflag for example. Easy rules for server hosts: TS&password in the briefing, good administration of the server, close to 24/7 uptime and of course an interesting, balanced mission which caters to many different playstyles. Of course there may also be bad experiences for first time joiners... For example if I am on a PvP server and there is some fight going on and some poor dude joins and ask's 'how do I start up my plane?' things may turn ugly. :)

I saw this too in CA slot, he first went and bombed one friendly on the runway, then reattacked on a second friendly on the taxiway and crashed himself into the ground in the progress. :) We captured the MK-MV FARP but I couldn't get my life back when landing on it. It shows as Blue (100%) on PAK & interactive map but no units spawned. ( I think 20-30 mins already passed) edit: also a wish for the interactive map, could you add the FARP&city grids on the tooltip? That would be very handy :)
  17. Heh, you see on the screenshot where he selects 'EXTREME' in the in the VISIB RANGE? After a repair/update or uninstall of the mod that entry (atleast in vanilla) will be empty (blank). Just select a valid default entry there and you should be fine.

  21. First thing, changelog looks awesome. Could we have some clarification on how the new SAM Networks/Units will work? My hopeful Mi-8-nose smells new chopper tasks, one patriot coming up! :D Secondly I want to just state my opinion on the number of lives&fuel state on spawn in. I understand waiting ~5 minutes for refueling can be frustrating, but please look at this from a coordinated attacker side. Somebody flew 10-15 minutes (talking only CAP here!) to an Airfield, kills multiple defending bandits. Now without the refueling time, these guys can be in the Air so quick and so many times that they can force the attacking side back even while losing every single fight. We had this in the beginnings of the campaign, the situations we had around Mozdok for example, where our attacking force was often repelled by taxi takeoff fighters. :) This basically disappeared with the refueling time and I welcome it. On the matter of Pilot-lives: This is where ultimately two different playstyles meet each other. The one side want's no restriction at all, the other extreme would be happy with only one life. And a hundred opinions inbetween. :D My personal perspective is from somebody that atleast try's to be conservative with his aircraft & lives and plays a lot in one session. I did manage to lose all my 7 'chances' at one point, not all of them due to my fault. (DCS still crashes atleast once or twice a day for me^^) Now I don't really want to argue the numbers, but bring out an (for me) important point: I feel some people here want to use the Life-system to balance enemy numbers by their own kills. For example, if somebody plays for hours, has 20+ kills and 7 deaths, would you say that guy wasted his lives? The system as I understand is to make the plane valuable and stop players from doing stupid & reckless shit. If the numbers get adjusted, may I make the suggestion that the timeframe in which they are counted gets reduced also?   23. Yup, make me join a squadron to choose who I play with, very good idea! This is not going to work. --- I keep having trouble at various FARPS to rearm/refuel. (MK-MV,NA-SB) They are 100%, I can see no burning/destroyed units. Never have this outside of freshly captured airports otherwise, very annoying since I like to make my Mi-8 very light. :)
  24. No we are talking about the relation of FC3 planes to full study modules. I like the refueling for the FC3 planes, it adds some more value to the plane. I also think that F15's should have some fuel in their tank since if Red can scramble very fast to defend an airbase, Blue needs to have the same possibility. This is something that becomes very noticeable the further you push North as Blue. :) edit: And I want to see somebody fight with those three tanks. :)
