  1. There is no way to resume a mission... why don't you post a track and the mission file perhaps?
  2. Sometimes writing something down seems to be the half deal... When writing down the system specs I remembered installing a software from gigabyte. Did not find it in the process list and searched around the system a bit. It still was installed, software called easytune. Found the related process (Sensordetector.exe) and killed it -> keys work. Easytune uninstalled, issue resolved.
  3. Hi, I have a Problem with my Keyboard: the Keys [altGr + 2] and [altGr + 3] do not work. AltGr = Ralt in some layouts. Those would be 2nd and 3rd power on my german keyboard layout. Other altGr keys like altGr+Q = @ do work though. I could narrow it down to a software issue, as the keys do work in safe mode. I don't know what exactly causes this behaviour, so I wanted to ask if someone has an Idea what overrides / blocks those keys. Main system specs: Intel I5 4670k MSI Geforce n770 2GB Gigabyte Z87x-UD3H Windows 7 Thanks in advance, Mav
  4. If the guncross really disturbs you in CCIP, the best way is to set the Gun to safe. I personally like the Guncross being visible in other Mastermodes. You really don't need PAC to deliver Rockets as they have no noticable recoil
  5. I once saw a Su33 in a MP mission firing off a voley of missiles. He was some 1000ft above me and I think about 5nm away. Managed to get more or less below him and fired a fox, direct hit under the fuselage. Unfortunately this Bas**** directly moved to spectators, the Track (as always) does not work and export for TacView had been disabled -.-
  6. you could also hit the [pause] key to pause the training mission in order to read through the text without a haste. You can also speed it up with shift+z and return to normal time with ctrl+z (or vice versa?)
  7. I don't think a petition is needed. ED has a roadmap and I'd guess they are pretty much working to capacity with the current amount of projects. From what I've seen, they listen to the community and see what they want, and ofc they would do good on delivering what their customers want to have. Personally, I'd really like to have the F-16 in DCS. But for now, I'm looking forward to the Hornet. After that, a russian high fidelity fighter is something that would imho be more important than a second western multirole fighter. A Su27 or perhaps even better a Su33 would be a great addition
  8. If you are being shot at by manpads (Igla) then 14000ft AGL will be enough, same for strelas. You won't have to worry about AAA at that altitude. If you are engaged by radar guided sams like chrisofsweden said: overflying not possible in most cases.
  9. You are right that there is a difference between mass and gravity center, but that only applies to flight way out the gravity field... CoM and CoG are interchangable in atmospheric flight
  10. The A-10A is simplified (like all FC level aircraft), so you can expect a lot more information to learn for the A-10C: Startup is not simply pressing 2 keys to get both engines running... I'd suggest you have a look for tutorials on youtube, or videos by "Ralfidude", this should give you an overview
  11. I'm sure, I did the update today in the hope that changes it. had 340XX until today, but had no time to test it yet. Guess I should not be too excited then...
  12. The track file is no video, it contains flight data. You can use the replay function and do a screen capture with shadowplay, fraps or similar software. But be aware that trackfiles are very inaccurate, especially for longer missions. I usually get an error in my position as soon as I land or take off again, resulting in me crashing into a building for example, what actually did not happen in the first place
  13. There is a fuel gauge for the rear tank, have a look over your left shoulder. Taking off from or landing on grass depends on the area, I successfully did it at an airport, while farmland seems to be too bumpy for a landing. Just my personal experience though, I usually try to hit the concrete ^^
  14. Have a look in the input-output section: disable nvidia shadowplay and you should be fine
  15. Hey, I have the same issue: 1. shadowplay did not work (DCS apparently has to be fullscreen) 2. everything worked fine 3. now TIR does not accept hotkeys when ingame while shadowplay runs What I don't quite understand: why did everything work fine for a few days? I was happy that I found the issue for shadowplay not working (not needed but a neat feature to capture a funny moment without having to record all the time), now I have to tap out in order to center TIR... (or leave shadowplay deactivated...) -.-
  16. Thanks for the hint, exactly hit my problem, as shadowplay seems to interfere... First shadowplay didnt work (shadowplay didnt recognize DCS inwindowed mode), then it all worked for a few days, now TIR stopped accepting hotkeys ingame regardless of windowed or fullscreen mode... interesting behaviour
  17. I tried it, Trap actually was enabled and I guess always was. Disabling it made no difference though.
  18. I've always had center on shift-1, which would interfere with a Ka-50 button for example, but that did not matter until now. Already changed the hotkey to no avail. Toggle is active, what does trap do? EDIT: Just read up on the trap function... guess that would be it. I'll try it when I'm home, but I can't recall changing it... am I getting old? ^^ Thanks for the help so far!
  19. Hi, I didn't want to open up an extra thread as my problem is similar: TrackIR-5 will not accept hotkeys while I'm ingame. As soon as I tab out of DCS my hotkeys work. It was working fine until yesterday, can't recall changing anything. Did a fresh TIR install, that didn't cut it. Any Ideas? Thanks for the Help, mav
  20. Had the same issue two days ago. My right engine died out of nowhere. I was in the middle of an engagement so I headed away, fired up the APU and was able to restart the engine (multiple times). As soon as the engine hit max torque it stalled again. Behaviour after repair was the same...
  21. It is compared with other sticks with the same functionality. Name a programmable HOTAS stick that is cheaper than the X-52... And you can get it used for almost half the price. I tried to fly with a Logitech Extreme 3D pro, I don't know how much it is comparable with the OPs stick, but flying was hard, aiming impossible...
  22. Was the OP actually slowing down to land? In the 2nd post the last picture before landing shows a speed of almost 500km/h... From my personal experience: a mustang tore off my right wing while I was at about 400km/h. I was able to return to the airport and decided to make a bellylanding without slowing down, in fear my plane would tilt over. Worked like a charm, given I almost ended up sliding into a fuel truck ^^ In terms of wing-off flying: the A10 is also known for being able after loss of roughly 50% of one wing. This would be a completely realisitc case, given you would not be able to maintain stable flight at lower speeds To 0b: the fuselage does not generate lift To 2: why not? same problem as long as you don't want to look at the dora exclusively. The problem remains the same: You loose one wing -> lift imbalance. You get slower, airspeed goes into lift generation with second power, while area with first -> imbalance increases. Aileron should still be effective at this time, the question is, if it is strong enough to counter the momentum of lift imbalance
  23. Your attack path usually is given by waypoints and ingress points. Its more a matter of terrain, enemy aircraft and placement of SAMs, and in the campaign not really important. For everything else, QuiGon made a good point
  24. Are the wing mounted cannons confirmed? I guess they will have to feature them at some point, and perhaps in 20 and 30mm? But the Fw190 is missing its rockets at the current state so perhaps the gondolas will have to wait aswell? :-(
