  1. But the airframe staying together and things staying attached to it are two different thing.
  2. Honestly the non-chaff missies are what are the most interesting to me. 10-20% more likely to hit a non-maneuvering chaffing target from any aspect but near notch, if you want a number. I still fondly remember when i played FC2 where scary, something close to that would be very nice, though perhaps in FC2 chaff was far less useful, perhaps it shouldn't be as effective as it is currently in DCS. I don't know. It's just that in this point in time it seems to me like it functions exactly like a flare for radar missiles. In my opinion currently in DCS it's, like we have a 6 sided dice when it comes to missiles being spoofed by countermeasures, perhaps we should have 12 or 20 sided dice. Terrible analogy perhaps.
  3. Yeah im not saying they dont hit but them hitting is an exception rather then a rule. What was it? Less than 30 percent of the time against a non maneuvaring target thats chaffing? From ironhands tests
  4. They knew their stuff want as good. But what we have in dcs currently would have gotten you fired. And im talking here about both sides not these guys and those guys or those ones over yonder As for point 1. Today the difference is the same only instead of sarhs hitting anything they dont. Which brings as to point 2. Id call the aim7 only marginally better than then the r27.
  5. For now a great stop gap measure would be to reduce the dice roll chances of missiles getting decoyed. So that us players can have something until the realistic stuff is implemented. Or rather if it is implemented.
  6. Sorry kunz, just AI for now :(
  7. Thanks, joey. Pics of a P variant with any semblance of resolution are hard to find, the ones i have, and i believe it's a mig-25P, did have it. Thanks. That's subdivided, it sits at 13+ million polys, un subdivided it's 2.5 million.
  8. I have a pathological hatred for jaggies, and wanted the little details to be visible. Thanks to all of you, it means a lot.
  9. Enough to get a snapshot on something you shouldn't be able to.
  10. Hello there, I'd like to share something i've been working on for some time. Currently it's pretty WiP but the High poly model has been finished, and I'd like to show it off. https://puu.sh/v1am0/9734485361.png https://puu.sh/v1am3/40b3913eab.png https://puu.sh/v1aqv/a9e410aae7.png https://puu.sh/v1aqI/00ac3803c3.png https://puu.sh/v1arY/157ee6d6bf.png https://puu.sh/v1asc/5f8578c5c6.png https://puu.sh/v1ass/f8a6fdaba3.png https://puu.sh/v1atT/aff7a6a3e3.png https://puu.sh/v1auN/cdd4062b77.png https://puu.sh/v1avb/97c4fbffb6.png
  11. No the issue people had with the su-27 is that the limiter which is now in game wasn't implemented leading to you being able to break apart way too easily, once that was in no one complained anymore.
  12. There was an instance where an F-15 made a 5G turn, and the nose fell off. Using your logic of circumstantial evidence (and most of this forums) all F-15s should fall apart at 5G
  13. Sure thing. But currently F-15s can do 14Gs at any speed over and over and over, with no consequence, and i doubt the weapons and fuel should be staying on the pylons at those Gs. You can over G the flanker once or twice, but after that you will break the airframe, same should be happening to other aircraft as well, that have AFMs obviously.
  14. The F-15 doesn't have structural damage modeled yet.
  15. Actually you are wrong, blue gets better SAMs, if not to say much better Avengers which have more and better missiles than any other IR missile SAM on red, and chaparrals which have a really big range. Red doesn't get any tunguskas, because blue couldn't stop complaining about how they can actually shoot things down.
  16. It's propagated by friendly radars, and having line of sight to them, and should also be propagated by planes in your group, but that doesn't work in MP.
  17. Speaking of which. How come the A has disappeared from the loadouts options?
  18. That's because the mirage is severely over modeled, engine performance wise, flight model wise, and damage model wise.
  19. Thank you all, The F-5 NOTE: The missing texture is some kind of issue with my game, and not the livery. And the Mig-21
  20. They are incredibly easy to dodge though, all you need to do is not be in a perfect hove, even a 3 km sideways movement, will cause the missiles to miss most of the time. But i agree, that it would be nice to be able to change loadout on every vehicle in the game.
  21. That's just completely false and you know it.
  22. Can you give us a good screenshot of the area, with visible edges? To me it either looks like a normals issue on that vertex, double vertices, a smoothing group strangeness. Also try resetting xform, just for the hell of it and convert to editable poly. Honestly, the best thing to do is upload that part of the model (just those few polygons) that gives you the error, so that we can have a look at it.
