Well maybe we can get the missiles fixed(ish), and then we'll see what's an advantage over what, because even with ISTAGS missile mod, it's way better because at the very least you know what the ER can and can't do, right now it just can't do much of anything. When people keeps saying. "You don't want them fixed you'll be at a disadvantage" over and over again, it really starts to sound like shilling.
  4. The awacs and the ATC are all connected to each other, so if any player on a server is using anything with AI and radio, it wont reach you until it's done with the other player first. So sometimes it will reply after a minute or something.
  5. you don't need to maneuver for separation at all, unless a rolling and flaring is considered maneuvering now. IR missiles are so stupidly evaded currently, and i highly doubt a real world tactic for evading IR missiles is to point your nose toward it, roll and pop flares. And inside 8nm the aim-120 will hit your plane 100% unless you turn away from it or you are really slow and notch it, at which point you'll still die because he'll be on top of you, while all the eagle needs to do to evade an et is again idle, roll, flare, he doesn't need to turn away from his target at all (that goes for any plane fighting IR missiles).

  10. Shouldn't lowering server FPS also lower the report rate of a client toward the server? There by causing more inaccuracies in with hit detection and network calculation?
  11. As difficult as it would be to program anti air ai to turn their radars on and off depending on the targets range. So not very, someone needs to do it though.
  12. I don't know, but to me the autopilots as a whole are running sub par, especially the landing autopilot, which is assured to cause a crater infront of the airfield.

  15. Read the rest of the UV26 manual please this is for 1.5 and it doesn't work that way in non beta. in a 732 interval in 1.5 will eject 3 flares at the same time, without any pause between the ejections, then it will wait 2 seconds then shoot another 3 flares at the same time.
  16. The UV-26 interval button doesn't launch flares at the specified interval, it just launches them all at once. Uv26track.trk

No computer can handle real time refraction well, ED could make a render to texture kind of thing, but that has it's own set of problems, mainly that you could get half as less FPS when looking through the window, since the scene needs to be rendered twice for the computer and depending on the complexity of a scene, it could be unfeasible to do it.

  19. I think just have a selection box, would be enough for now at least. Server stability is something that is a big issue with CA which is really sad, since it's really fun.
  20. Even currently it's amazing to play against a human commander, you'll get punished for every little mistake, it's just a shame not many servers run it, and it causes a lot of lag. Of course if you like turkey shoots, which most players in MP seem to enjoy, it's not the thing for you.
  21. The issue is that the tyres break at slow speed not at fast speed. Holding the break button at 40km/h will result in a poped tyre.
  22. I think you don't quite understand how the arrow aiming mode works, you don't use it on and off you use it constantly, because it allows you to have a continuous slew.
