  1. Day 1 Lomac user. Always dreamt of flying utility helicopters in a combat sim (thanks eech modders). Now with the huey, living the dream. Thanks Belsimtek!
  2. flickering and white boxes, hmm... i have dcs load new objects in front of my nose all the time. Imagine trying to hover and getting flashed with a powerline tower loaded in front of you for a split second. But i suppose 13.6 won't help me there, will it?
  3. I would be interested in pedestal panels for the huey. Final decision is of course money and honey depending
  4. Sorry for the double post, but i feel i should add to this. In case anyone was wondering: Prior to running the May 27th update, i removed the copied cockpit folders from DCS: world. After the update everything works again as intended on my end, without the fix.
  5. I know, i did recon and security for farp sites among other things during my 7 years in the rnlaf. But since that was the word from translation i sticked with it. Still not an answer though ;)
  6. What does that imply, ground crew at heliports? Just the ability to refuel/re-arm or physical crew doing... stuff?
  7. Indeed we do, Wolle. However, if you wory about future compatability, there is the option of copying the sound folders in as a mod through JSGME. That way you won't tamper with the actual DCS file structure. Should have done that myself too but i guess my hands were going quicker than my thoughts (again).
  8. Generate the mission, Click fly and then click mission planner. 2nd tab in lower right corner is for changing payload. Click red exit icon in lower left corner when done. Happy hovering!
  9. Thank you for the update, much appreciated. In fact, i've been looking forward to it for the last 16 hours (forget sleeping in when you have young kids). I'm not much of a facebook fan myself, but if it helps to "spread the love" then i'm by all means go get 'em! The Belsimtek Mi-8 screenies are very welcome too, i love them (helicopters and belsimtek) thank you!
  10. Allright, so what will the content be today? - hard at work for 1.2.5. - some news on the afm's in development perhaps - dare i say it... new terrain news? Dunno why but 1.2.5. sounds special to me... Or i want it to be.
  11. Weirdness. Anyway, glad you got your sounds back. Happy hovering!
  12. That's correct. In the aircrafts folder in your shot lies uh-1h\cockpit. It is that cockpit folder you need to copy and add into your: ...\DCS World\Sounds\Effects\Aircrafts\Uh-1H.
  13. I have the same files in my effects\aircrafts folder as you. Now inside that uh-1h folder it should look like this: The folder named cockpit is the one you copied from: ...\DCS World\Mods\aircrafts\Uh-1H\Sounds\Effects\Aircrafts\Uh-1H\Cockpit Inside that Cockpit folder are the files that i posted before (left window in the pic): EDIT: If you have different or more/less files in the cockpit folder then it could be you copied the wrong folder.
  14. indeed it does! I stand corrected, thanks Sundowner.
  15. Can you confirm the contents of these folders please (path in adres bar, but you probably knew that)? Perhaps something went missing or crooked or whatever. If yours is identical to mine then the only other thing i can think of is that somewhere, somehow a sound config files is to blame.
  16. The bundeswehr huey's are in fact licensed build Uh-1D's by Dornier. They differ even more from your typical huey than belsimtek's model in some ways. ;) +1 for Bundeswehr camouflage though, always loved it. Much cooler than our dutch helicopters.
  17. Belsimtek's Uh-1H depicts an 80's bird or close to that. The iconic picture you have in mind is some 15 years older. And then there's hollywood... That being said, i think we all share that iconic vietnam picture in our head and i do hope that when a vietnam theatre gets released there will be changes to the huey to make it fit in. Oh, and a -B or -C of course because D/H variants weren't really gunships way back when. Though i fear that this is an unlikely thing to happen.
  18. It sends heated exhaust fumes through the rotors wich quickly spreads it, greatly reducing ir signature. IMHO a good thing while flying around in your average dcs threat enviroment.
  19. Seems to work for everyone so far so, just to check: Copy this folder (the actual "cockpit" folder, not just the files within): DCS World\Mods\aircrafts\Uh-1H\Sounds\Effects\Aircrafts\Uh-1H\Cockpit Paste it into this folder: DCS World\Sounds\Effects\Aircrafts\Uh-1H So the copied folder is now in the ...\UH-1H folder. AND Copy this folder (again, the "cockpit" folder) DCS World\Mods\aircrafts\Uh-1H\Sounds\Aircrafts\Uh-1H\Cockpit And paste into this folder: DCS World\Sounds\sdef\Aircrafts\Uh-1H So now there's that cockpit folder within your Uh-1H folder. I hope it works out!
  20. If in the final version the slick would be the base model and the mounts, pods, guns, hooks, winches, netting, fuel bladders, and.... oh sorry! Anyway, if all those things dangling off your huey could be added as loadout with their own drag/aerodynamic data and added to the big "how does your huey fly today?" equation, there will be no need for seperate afm files.
  21. Ebs, you have a beautiful mind!

    Huey wish list

Just to add to what others say: - ai for doorgunners (set up as turrets same as for example: tanks perhaps?); - ai flexguns operating co-pilot (could use same code as doorgunners.); - ai for (co-)pilots like computer controlled aircraft instead of current autopilot modes; - doorgunners and weapon mounts/pintles selectable through loadout interface; - controllable pilot after ejection preferably with the ability to enter other hueys as transport and/or pilot/gunner; - physical troop transport: the ability to load up ground units and transporting them to another location. (also think about slinging light vehicles); - physical supplies transport: fuel bladder slinging or cargo net, also internal cargo, all with supply value that gets added to destination farp, camp, airfield, ship, etc, etc. if not, i still love you Belsimtek crew!
  23. That was quick, thank you for saving immersion!
  24. Okay, thought as much. Thanks for the quick answer.
  25. Hi Leonpo, Can your telemetry file also be used to display the uh-1h gauges on a second screen or even better: a networked pc? Thanks.
