I have them since 2.5.6.. With older versions there are some clouds, shadows or contrails disappearing at the borders of the screen while moving the head for both eyes at same time.. but now I'm getting some things renderend in only one eye even looking at front. EDIT : For example, the past night I noticed that the landing gear of the L-39 is rendered at different distances at each eye after seeing some planes floating through the taxi way.
-
I hope they fix this problem ASAP, of course we are a minority, but this is something was working fine before the patch. Clouds, lights, shadows, reflections.. a lot of things were messed up
-
I run it on a 9900K@5.0 Ghz and a 2080ti, and while when I switch on the AG radar or the TGP I don't notice an important fps drop while fliying I can say that on ground without TGP or AG radar this module have worst permorfance than the rest. It shouldn't be a problem but on VR everything is more demanding and sometimes I fall under the acceptable fps lower limit with this module.
-
I noticed lower fps too in the JF-17 cockpit compared with other planes, just in parking at hot start without radar or tgp running.

Are the VR problem with some things rendering only at one eye fixed ?
-
But setting on true fix some visual bugs and make appear others, for example the flashlight on the hornet become rendered only with one eye. Seems that the whole thing is messed up.

Maybe in 2D the Hip cockpit feel top quality, but in VR feels old. ED is selling the module at normal price, so if I bought it today I will be extremely dissapointed. The module is suffering lightning problems for ages, and as everything is getting old over time. I hope ED takes the path of A-10 and KA-50, a brand new cockpit, and a dlc for a new variant like the Mi-8TVK with ATGM.

[REPORTED]Shadows in cockpit projected in the wrong direction
S-GERAT replied to Redglyph's topic in 2D Video Bugs
I suppose they're redoing something, in fact there was something wrong in the cockpit shadows, but the problem of ED as ever, is the times, I expect body shadows returning after some updates, but many months passed and here we are.. -
I have all the options maxed and still get the "degraded" trees so it should be another thing.

A new tweak for Reverb to keep it smooth
S-GERAT replied to GunSlingerAUS's topic in Virtual Reality
Didn't know when is the schedule for the next big W10 update.. but you can get the next preview build in the windows insider program tab inside update and security on control panel. There are three options, I think the one for the next build is the first one, can't remember well. Then you can search for Windows update and install the next build. If something goes wrong, you have the option to return to your actual build with only one click during some days ( two weeks I think ) -
A new tweak for Reverb to keep it smooth
S-GERAT replied to GunSlingerAUS's topic in Virtual Reality
I'm trying a new W10 build through Windows insider and inside the WMR settings there are new and different options of rendering quality and performance. Seems that right now the 60hz/90hz mode only change the refresh rate, so you can be in 60 hz mode with full graphics working like the 90hz mode in previous versions. Before that I was stuck on the 1809 build because I found problems or visual degradation in the newer version. Now I'm extremely happy with microsoft for listening the community requests. -

Yes, on the beta, but I'm using an older Win 10 version, maybe that's the cause. -

Sometimes the steam supersampling values are messed and don't equal to the resolution of the visor. I have two win 10 installs and while in one the 100 % is the native resolution of the Reverb I need to put on 180 % in the other to get the native res. -

That's what I'm seeying in 1909.. also with some terrain lines.. -
Maybe I have something wrong with my module but both of the mentioned modules have far better textures than the C101, specially the F-5. I am not ranting or asking repeatedly about a cockpit upgrade. I only asked one time if the module is going to get a improvement in the cockpit quality as the rest of the DCS modules. Can't understand all the drama. If the cockpit stays like now, I'm not going to cry about it. In fact I bough the module at full price at first day to support these developers, not because I was particularly interested in this module, and after all the years and development problems with the module I was patient and confident with the developers, so don't treat me like as if I was taking advantage of something or abusing the devs. I care a lot more about the Mirage, but IMHO leaving the cockpit like is now compared with the majority of modules when the module leaves the beta is an error, but this decision belongs to the developers.

I know, is only the icing of the cake for an already fantastic module. Believe me.. The Mirage F-1 is one of the most anticipated modules for me. I don't know how their workflow on the Mirage is going, but seems that the coders are doing their best to finish the C101. And taking in account how fast the technologies advance, will be a waste that the artist of the team is working in the Mirage now and his work becomes obsolete when the module is released in 2021 (random year).

Hi Vibora, There are plans to update the cockpit textures to today standards ? It would be great for the release..

A new tweak for Reverb to keep it smooth
S-GERAT replied to GunSlingerAUS's topic in Virtual Reality
With the 1909 version the glitches were hard to notice, the FOV seems ok and the rendering quality wasn't altered ( this one can be mitigated anyways upping resolution on steamVR ) but looking at far elements there were subtle glitches which weren't in the 90hz mode. -

What Win 10 build are you using ? I'm stuck in the 1809 build because in the newer I get poorer quality or a reduced FOV while using the 60 hz mode.. last time I check in 1909 I find that some things are rendered only in one eye.. -

Hope the pilot body shadows will be back soon too. -
I must admit that viewing that video saddened me. DCS have a lot of lacking features and problems, but I can't remember all of them until I see in the video. Usually one day I miss a thing, another day I cry for a long time unfixed bug, another day I rage with the state of a module ( F-16, I wasn't expecting that earliest state ), but when somebody reminds all of the problems at the same time.. it hurts. It makes me pessimistic about DCS and my investment on it ( I checked it just now and I'm near the 1500 $ expended on modules, maps and campaigns ). But as the video says sadly there isn't any other competitor right now..

Unfortunately this issue persist in the last patch.. I'm starting to hate these shadows.. -
This should be a common thing for all the modules, like a requirement. ED should provide the code and apply to all modules, at least in the functional side. Or take the approach of other sims, where there is an option independent from the planes that put a filter on the screen.
-
The colors are poor, specially the blacks, but the visual quality is like night and day in compensation, like looking a desktop monitor, and you can see things a lot farther.

I have a O+ and the Reverb visuals are much better. I never imagine too much difference. The Reverb are also much more comfortable, but have worst earphones. The vertical FOV is also lower in the Reverb but after few hour you don't miss it.
