This problem relates not only VR, the stuttering of the channel map is also with a 2-D monitor very bad, as bad or worse than Normandy used to be. I get in A L L other maps solid 60 FPS with my settings, and I have ALL of them, except Syria. I hope ED is watching this, in the current state the channel map is unplayable......

You forgot something.... STILL NO TEXTURE TEMPLATE.....

Hello Kanstantsin, you are most kind, and thank you very much indeed. The F-16 is OK now, but the F-18..... Let me explain you, in the screeenshot I include you see the wav files which I edited in a previous version of DCS, and did the trick. But now I'm lost... And still, It is difficult to me to believe that the noise coming from a ecm, air conditioning, oxigen supply unit etc.. would be so loud as to cover the noise (music) from the mighty F-18 turbines?

Please ignore, I could not care less.....

I have been away for a few months, today I started DCS again, latest stable update 2.5.6. Even with the volume of the external sounds 100% the MIG-21 STILL sounds like a 787..... Is it REALLY so difficult to fix this????

Same here. And not with VR. The Channel map stutters the same way the Normandy map used to do. Of course with the same settings, I get in ALL the other maps, including Normandy, solid 60 FPS, no matter time of the day or building density. In the Channel, especially on the coast, Dover, etc... this drops to 30-45 FPS.....

In the meantime I have successfully changed the sounds of my A-10C copying the sounds of an old installation to: C:\Users\MyName\Saved Games\DCS\Sounds I did the same for the F-18, but in spite of trying several different folder structures such as: C:\Users\MyName\Saved Games\DCS\Mods\resource\aircraft\FA-18C\Sounds.edc C:\Users\MyName\Saved Games\DCS\Mods\resource\aircraft\FA-18C\Sounds C:\Users\MyName\Saved Games\DCS\Mods\aircraft\FA-18C\Sounds For the F-18 it does not work... What am I doing wrong? Why is this working for the A-10 and not for the F-18? Can somebody point me out please?

Hi, it is not a matter of how exactly it sounds in real life... As we do not have the same feelings and reference to the outside real world, as somebody being in a real plane, preventing hearing the reeling down or up of the engine covering it up with some air conditioning or similar noise makes very difficult to judge the status of the plane in its surroundings. VERY IMPORTANT for us simmers. I have looked into your Doc/Sounds/sdef_and_wave_list.txt, are you sure this refers to the new stable DCS version.. Very complicated....

Since the latest stable update 2.5.6.52437 that trick does not work anymore, because ED has completely changed the sound system..... Anyone?

P-47 flight time is not appearing in the logbook..... Latest stable DCS world version.

Same here. With my settings of even gamma 2.2 or 2.4 ALL the other planes are OK, but the P-47 is too dark in the cockpit.

Same here, but that noise completely covers the engine, not allowing to hear the power applied. Something similar, although not so bad, happens on the A-10 C, I find the F-16 OK. And now ED don't let us modify the sound files, with that odd new sound "system". VERY BAD AND DISAPPOINTING.
