  1. Hi deathbysybian, THANK YOU VERY MUCH INDEED! And yes, you said it! It would be really nice, is if you could slave the tpod to the stations currently stored target so as you stepped through them it showed on camera what was targeted. So it was before they changed the logic of the JDAM's.....
  2. Hi ED, that newsletter blow me away! Thank you very much indeed!
  3. Wait how long?
  4. I also have tinnitus but the only sound which annoyed me was the "rumbling noise", also at idle. Solution: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=230832
  5. Well, that's it.. the only issue I can not correct is the dark cockpit. All other planes are quite OK. Happy new year to you...
  6. Hi wernst, either buy better hardware or use my settings...
  7. No such problems at all here. Old A-10C cockpit = Solid 60 FPS. New A-10C cockpit = Solid 60 FPS. Only issue is far too dark at dusk / night.
  8. I confirm, absolutely! Have a try with the enclosed mission. F-16 Flood lights off = no FPS drop whatsoever. Solid 60 FPS / fluid. F-16 Flood lights on = substantial / occasional FPS drop, especially flying just below the clouds. F-18 Flood lights on or off = no FPS drop whatsoever. Solid 60 FPS / fluid. A-10-C (new cockpit) Flood lights on or off = no FPS drop whatsoever. Solid 60 FPS / fluid. Similar problem with the Mirage, though not so evident as with the F-16. Test-FPS.miz
  9. No performance hit here, solid 60FPS. Only problem is the insufficient night lightning.
  10. Well thanks, but that mod is useless now. The locations changed in the last DCS version. In the meantime I have found it myself. The loud engine noises of the P-51 are in: \DCS World\Sounds\Effects\Aircrafts\Engines\V_1650_7\Cockpit I have found out it deleting temporarily all the files inside, and the cockpit turned silent, then restored the files, and lowered the volume. VERY ODDLY enough the Spitfire files are not in \Sounds but in : \DCS World\Mods\aircraft\SpitfireLFMkIX\Sounds\Effects\Aircrafts\SpitfireLFMkIX\Cockpit Here we have it again: the folder structure of DCS is utterly absurd. I remember another SIM (I do not mention the name otherwise this post will be deleted), in wich the folder structure was \Aircrafts\Planexxx\Sounds\Textures\Model\etc. That made very easy to apply mods, textures or update. No wonder it takes so long for ED to update and / or change things.......
  11. I agree too, but as said, in the new A-10 Cockpit this issue is even more present....
  12. Thanks, I have thought of that, but still the engine is in my opinion too loud.
  13. Hi, thanks, you surely mean \DCS World\Sounds\Sounders The only one I found full of luas.. but no mention of P-51 there...
  14. I also find the new sounds fantastic, though the engine too loud in the cockpit at high revs. I tied to reduce the volume of what I thought were the corresponding .ogg files inside of \DCS World\Sounds\Effects\Aircrafts\Engines\PackardMerlinProp\Cockpit but to no avail. Anybody can help me out?
  15. There you have it ED, so it is not just me. Something to be looked at in the new year, PLEASE. Otherwise the new cockpit is FANTASTIC.
  16. Indeed... Though I would never go back to the old cockpit, as I found the new one far better, I can barely see some of the switches / dials at dusk/ night. As stated, with the same gamma setting, 2.4, other cockpits are a bit dark too, but OK.
  17. Indeed... Where is the flashlight? like the F/A-18C AND the F-16 has....
  18. I agree, but in the new A-10 Cockpit this issue is even more present.......
  19. Let's hope even with all the cockpit lights maxed out, it is very hard to see most of the dials, Regardless of the gamma setting. With gamma 3.0 it's OK, but everything else is washed out. Other cockpits are pretty much OK.
  20. The new cockpit is great, BUT.... it is WAY TOO DARK lit at dusk / nighttime. It was not so with the old cockpit.
  21. I agree, the new cockpit is great, no issues with the perspective. BUT.... it is WAY TOO DARK lit at dusk / nighttime. It was not so with the old cockpit.
  22. Thank you very much ED for the quick update from OB to Release version! Happy new year.
  23. :thumbup::yay:
  24. One of the great mysteries of ED...
  25. Well, whatever it is, there is no excuse for this! Other sims (I do not quote them because they are going to delete my post) did and still do it properly from as back at least 10 years ago.....
