Deselecting AA TCN, (Only T/R), as one would do for a ground station or the supercarrier, works. Though it is not supposed to work that way, for AA units AA-REC or AA-T/R has to be selected, as it was the correctly the case before the bug which was introduced with the Stable update DCS 2.7.9.18080.

Yes, deselecting AA TCN (as one would do for a ground station or the supercarrier) works. Though it is not supposed to work that way, right?
-
Hi, many thanks. As you can see in the pictures, I was using T/R already. I have accomplished dozens of similar flights in the past, always setting the Tanker in the ME and the plane in the mission in the same manner. The problem arose only after the after the Stable update DCS 2.7.9.18080. BTW, I forgot something: Supercarrier, and land Tacan stations work perfectly OK, with both Planes.

Yes I know that something similar was already reported: https://forums.eagle.ru/topic/289644-tacan-not-working-in-aa-mode/#comment-4854403 But I just wanted to add that this is not JUST a problem of the F-18, but also with other planes, at least with the A-10II. This was working perfectly for years now, I have noticed this after the Stable update Posted December 30, 2021, DCS 2.7.9.18080. Please advise. A-10-II-Refuel.miz F-18-Refuel.miz

OK, fine, well, sort of. I thought I was doing something wrong.

I have successfully managed to add properly working GERMAN / Third Reich searchlights, but I could not find USA - UK ones, not even "modern" ones. Why is that? (WWII assets pak installed of course)
-
Well, This is not the service I expect as a paying customer. This issue has been present since months, maybe even years. And even more disappointing because NONE of the other planes has such a wrong discrepancy between the external and internal sounds. I also see no progress on the F-4U, for wich I am eagerly waiting. Maybe playing less chess would be advisable?
-
On what do you base your assumption? What should I do, keep quiet and let them get away with this miserable sounds?
-
Well, Thank you very much indeed! But ever so UTTERLY disappointing that Leatherneck does not address this issue....
-
Ah now I understand.. stupid of me.. It is a sound mod.. Thank you! Though the only one I could find in the user files downloads DCS was one from Date - 03/22/2020, Version 3.0. UTTERLY disappointing that Leatherneck does not address this issue....
-
Version 3.0 will be out in the next 24-48 hours? How will this be updated?
-
Well, this is all not satisfactory... I sincerely hope ED is aware of this.
-
Same issue here, especially at dusk....

After the last Stable update 2.7.9.18080, the MIG EXTERNAL sounds STILL sounds like a 787, even with the volume of the external sounds 100%.! Moreover, even worse, now there is an utterly annoying hissing sound inside the cockpit.... Even more disappointing because the sound of ALL the other planes (13) are perfectly OK with the VERY same sound settings.
-
After the last Stable update 2.7.9.18080, the Marianas map still stutter very much. All the other maps Caucasus, Normandy, Channel, Nevada and Persian Gulf run perfectly smooth at 4K 60 FPS whit the very same settings, with any plane.

Keep your hopes up, as mentioned, it was exactly the same the case in the Channel map in the beginning, and this was corrected, albeit after a very long time. And yes, I agree, either make a free update properly, or not make it at all, or ask money for it.

So in other words, one has to apply a a headwind of 6 kts or more..... That begs the question: Why is this not necessary in Nevada and Caucasus?

correct as is F-16 MFD brightness dims selecting each menu
ac5 replied to ac5's topic in Bugs and Problems
Well, it does not seem to me that this would be a correct behaviour of the MFD's.. But at least it seems that ED is aware of this. In fact, now in spite that brightness is dim changing / selecting each menu, once the brightness is adjusted, it stays this way. If I remember correctly, that was not so some months ago. -
Of course I have called ATC... I am well aware that only the active approach direction will have ILS activated. But nevertheless, why are the ILS beacons runways 12 Sharjah AND Dubai International are non-existent, in spite being marked on the F10 map? and why the ILS Runway 30 Dubai International does not show the glideslope (f-16)?

correct as is F-16 MFD brightness dims selecting each menu
ac5 replied to ac5's topic in Bugs and Problems
Please have a look at the video, and read carefully my first post, and it will answer all the questions..... This issue has been treated before: But unfortunately "This topic is now closed to further replies." It seems clear to me that it is a bug and that should be addressed, just wanted to remind ED about it. -
I mentioned not only The Novorossiysk bug...............

correct as is F-16 MFD brightness dims selecting each menu
ac5 replied to ac5's topic in Bugs and Problems
"SMS, DTE, TEST, FLCS, HSD, and blank should respond simultaneously on both displays if both displays are text-only formats". The MFD brightness DOES NOT dim (does not change) at full night or during the bright day, as it should do in at dusk or dawn (Twighlight situations). -
In addition to that... Requesting landing to Sharjah the ATC replies Novorossiysk.... See screenshots. And the ILS beacons runways 12 Sharjah AND Dubai International are non-existent, in spite being marked on the F10 map... and the ILS Runway 30 Dubai International does not show the glideslope (f-16) What a mess...

Changing / selecting each menu the MFD brightness dims ONLY at dusk or dawn (Twighlight situations). The MFD brightness DOES NOT dim (does not change) at night or during the day.
