  1. Regarding wheel brakes, I see nothing in the A-10C Axis control page that suggests they are progressive but I may be wrong there. With speed brakes or zoom I think my attached illustration shows it's either one way or the other with nothing in between.
  2. If I make the same with x52 pro as I did with my T Flight X it wont work the same way??, I mean just use one button for trim up and other button for trim down and as I keep them pressed I get more trimming??? Yes, that's exactly how to set it up and the best one can expect.
  3. Regarding rotary knobs or sliders let's get one thing clear. There are no controls in a DCS World cockpit that are progressive, as in a volume control on a radio. Every control is an on/off switch. Therefore, those that want to try to simulate a progressive control using a rotary knob or slider will always be disappointed. The best that can be expected from Saitek software in an effort to make an on/off switch seem like a progressive control is to set them up in stages. The only exceptions available with any HOTAS are the axis controls.
  4. Same here. If it fell apart today I'd order another one tomorrow.
  5. can you provide a link to that thread?
  6. Thanks to those that have already participated so far or shown an interest. Question.....would there be any interest in a one night weekly mission designed for getting acquainted and some free flight training with aircraft systems and weapons? It would need to be at 2:30 and/or 8 PM CST on a night most convenient for all that are interested. Please PM me if you would be interested. Thanks ratpackgroup.weebly.com
  7. Thanks again for sharing all this. Very interesting stuff.
  8. For me and I think most others the screenshots have the same quality as what I see on my monitor. I have never tried to tweak the lua file but have always been curious about what would happen if someone did. Let us know if there is a difference when you change the number. I always enhance any PC image with Photoshop if needed and I expect others do also.
  9. Possibly, using notepad ++ you will see on line 354 of the graphics lua file, screenshot quality 90 You may want to experiment with that number to see what happens.
  10. F2 followed by LFTCTL+F11 allows free camera mode. Click HERE for other info
  11. I don't think Skatezilla would mind if you PMed him and he will probably have an answer.
  12. The user guide can be very helpful. You can find it by navigating: START/ALL PROGRAMS/EAGLE DYNAMICS/DCS WORLD OPENBETA/DOCUMENTATION
  13. I have modified the ABOUT page on the website for anyone that may be interested. Any comments, questions or suggestions are always welcome.
  14. Thanks for your response and I'll send you a script if needed.
  15. Greetings all, I am in need of about 4-5 volunteers that would be willing and able to provide some voice acting for DCS missions. I would do it all in real time on Teamspeak so it wouldn't take more than a few minutes for each person. I need people that would be available on Tuesday at 8:00 PM CST (US) who already have Teamspeak with a headset ready to go. Please email me at dcswblooze@gmail.com if you are interested. Who knows, this could lead to a career in Hollywood one day. :music_whistling:
  16. I hope you jump in sometime soon even if it's just to say hello.:smilewink:
  17. I feel sure that you will find many more opportunities to learn and fly with other pilots by choosing the A-10C rather than the P-51, at least until a true WWII map becomes available. Although it is the most challenging to learn IMO it offers the greatest rewards for having done so. Click HERE for some of the best video tutorials available for the A-10C and feel free to ask questions in the forums as well. There are many veteran pilots that will be happy to help you learn. Of course you would be wise to commit to reading the flight manual as your primary source of info and I recommend paying a few bucks to get a printed version made. If you should decide to opt for the A-10C, when you have learned the basics regarding the aircraft's systems and weapons you may want to consider joining a like minded group for some multiplayer action. That's when the real fun begins and the learning process accelerates from learning from other more experienced pilots.
  18. Rather than hijacking this thread to recruit members for your group IMO it would be more appropriate to start your own thread.
  19. Although everyone has a right to an opinion, what you are suggesting sounds like the typical video gaming circle jerk activity that has caused a gradual deterioration of the true spirit of what DCS World once was and I feel an obligation to myself and other like minded folk to offer an alternative venue. Can I get an AMEN?
  20. In the future you may want to consider checking someone's credentials before offering your commentary. 21. Time change: Be advised that I have changed the early mission time from 3:00 PM CST to 2:30 PM CST.
  22. beers, you pretty much nailed what we are looking for as far as skills are concerned. No need for TARS or ranks and I am open to mods if appropriate.
